Will you have cooking facilities in your villa? Will you have a fridge with a freezer box in it? When we travel we often end up wanting to keep stuff cold and the simplest method is to freeze a bottle of water and put it in with your food in an insulated lunch bag (like the ones the kids use for school now instead of lunchboxes. Get one from the supermarket - nice and light ot pack and carry). One big icebrick that will keep cold for hours with no mess - and you can drink it when it thaws or just rotate two bottles through the freezer. It should fit even into the freezer of a bar fridge. We do it in our caravan. Another thing you could do is pre-cook and freeze your chicken - I do that for work everyday and then you don't risk it getting warm - it will slowly defrost in your cooler bag and be ready to eat at lunchtime or dinnertime. If you can eat tinned tuna that is great and you should be able to get ones which don't need a tin opener. I have handbag sized digital scales I bought from Woolworths for under $20. |

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
I can't believe I have completed 3 weeks on Cohens. That first few days just dragged and I thought the three week mark was an eternity away, but here it is and it feels like I only started yesterday! Just 3 weeks in and I feel so much better already, skin clearer, increased energy, clothes nice and loose, no longer bloated and no longer obsessed with eating junk at every opportunity.
I am not hungry at all, ever! I have to remind myself to eat at the right times, it just seems too easy. That easy that I forget I am on a diet and sometimes feel a little down about myself and my weight. Is it because it's so easy that I forget that I AM loosing weight??? That I AM doing something about this!! Today was the start of week 4, and I can't wait for weigh-in next week!! I can finally move my ticker!! I am loving the foods so much that I sometimes worry that this can't be working if I love the foods this much hehehehehe....gosh the mind is a silly thing!

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
The time does fly doesnt it. This program is so easy to stick to and once you see your weight loss for the first month you will realise that you will never want to deviate as if you stick to it you will be finished in no time.
I think I am just as excited to find out your first month loss as you are. You're so strong not to have snuck a peak. I think I weighed myself after two days and havent stopped. I sometimes get a thought that the food I am eating taste too good - especially the nuggets - so I must be doing something wrong, adding something I shouldnt be having because surely I cant be on a diet and like the food. Keep up the FANTASTIC work. x |

Hi FMA
What a fantastic cm loss already! I really admire you girls who manage through the kids parties without so much as a finger lick - don't know if I would be so strong. I'm avoiding all that type of thing for now, so well done! Now that you are in the right headspace you'll get to your goal for sure. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you xxx |

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
Thanks so much for all of your support!! The weekend went by with nothing eventful happening. We went to Byron Bay on sunday and I packed my breakfast and lunch, bought fresh fruit at the markets and had a great time buying spices on our list. Weigh-in tomorrow and I am a bit nervous!! hehehehehe. My clothes are heaps looser, but you know how the mind works. I'm worried I will have lost like 2kg or something!! Still 100% deviation free and starting to make up some new dishes off the forum and the book which has been fun!! I will let you know how I go tomorrow!

Hi FMA,

So, worry away, FMA - but 2Kg is ridiculous, specially when clothes are "heaps looser" and, that you'd lost 500mm in just two weeks.... As others have said, you'll be sweet tomorrow, Koh PS I dunno what your scales will say - but 2Kg in a month is so "some other program" (Sorry, couldn't help it...)

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
Thanks so much for the encouragement!! I pulled out some old clothes yesterday that haven't fit me in a little over 12 months and they look great on, which is fantastic, and has expanded my wardrobe considerably!! Finally jeans that are not falling off me...yet I hope in a few weeks these too start falling off...

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
O-M-G. I am SOOOO happy for you. You are amazing. That is an awsome achievement. I bet you are so glad you waited for the four week mark to weigh in. I wish I could have seen your face. Thats the first week done, the first 12kgs lost and now you have a future of future losses to keep you going.
Just remember the feeling of when you stepped on the scales before Cohens and the difference in the feeling of how you felt stepping on after four weeks. None of us ever want to go back to feeling that way about ourselves, the disappointment, disgust, horror etc etc etc You are FANTASTIC and you have achieved FANTASTIC results. GO YOU!!! xoxo |

Oh, and woohoo for crossing into a new BMI range - not to stay, 'cos this one will be HISTORY in a few months too - but a NICE result all up, FMA
