Well done H, that's great.
I'm down 800g for the week. Interestingly enough I got weighed at my doctor's yesterday, it was after breakfast and much water intake plus I had my clothes on (I am a bit shy!) and on his scales I weighed 67 kg not the 67.5 kg I weighed earlier that morning, naked with no food or water in me. However I'm going to stick with my scales, I started Cohen's with them I'll finish with them. Oh and the good Doc was thrilled with my weight loss 28 kg since he weighed me last November. He did give me a bit of a talk about keeping it off...comparing it to being an alcoholic, one drink and they're back into the drinking. he said it was the same with people he'd treated who'd lost weight, they need to watch their food for the rest of their lives. But I knew that anyway, just good to be reminded of it. x Loulou

Hi everyone,
Finally posting my weight loss, 1.3kg for the fortnight. I didn't get to post last week because I have had the worst dose of flu in my life, I'm only just getting over it now so I'd just average that loss out at 0.65kg loss for each week. Very happy with that considering I usually lose between 2.5kg and 2.8kg a month. It was great to read that everyone has had a loss each week and not hitting the dreaded plataue. Good luck to everyone this week and "Not Long Now!" Maxi |

Hi everyone,
Well friday is here and I dont have anything to show for this fortnight unfortunatly, so Iam starting fresh again and wondering if I can be in for the next fortnight, I know I can do better than this, just got a bit to confident for my own good...once I deviated at the 6week mark I havnt got it together since, but this time is different...some mothers from my childrens school have been noticing my weightloss so now I have to set a good example. |

Hi Maxi- I know what you mean about the flu, I've had it too and it really is hard to shake. I think it's harder to lose the weight when we;re sick because our bodies want to hold on to as much as possible in order to recover. You're doing well especially under the circumstances.
Jacqui- I think you meant to post it the 100% Cohen's Challenge so I've replied in your diary. And as for me I'm down 1.1 kg this week. Very happy with that. refeed is getting closer. If I keep losing an average of a kg a week (fingers crossed) then only about 6 weeks to refeed! x Loulou

I'm only down 600 gms this week, not too concerned about it as I've been out of my regular routine recently and expecting slow losses. I hope I can have a quieter week this next week. My cm losses also were quite low, but still lost a little off my hips, one of my problem areas.

Week 18 total 900g so just a small move on my ticker after my anniversary update. Seems I average out at 1 kg a week. I hope that keeps happening for the next 5 weeks!

I had a good week with a loss of 1.2 kgs. Cm losses were dismal though -- 1 cm on the main measurements, and 2 cms on the others.

HI There
I received my refeed programme yesterday, but have decided to only start when I am at goal or when my bodies says "right". Take care H |

Hi H- so you're not feeling hungry enough to eat the furniture yet? I'm also keen to leave refeed for as long as possible. 59 kg is the bottom of my Cohen's range but I guess we have to trust our bodies as to when we need to start refeeding them. Weigh in day tomorrow for me.

Hi LL
I did not start refeed - I took your and others' advise and will wait until I want to eat my own hand. Take care H |

Hi H - How's the hand eating going? I've been getting a little bit hungrier, I've started drinking diet soda which I normally don't touch, and so far so good.
I'm down another 800g this week. I hope I don't keep slowing down, but at least the weight is still coming off. x Loulou

I'm down a kilo this week, and definitely not hungry. I can easily go seven hours between meals if necessary, but do feel a bit hungrier in the evenings. Not sure if I'm really hungry or whether it's an old habit. I'm also going to continue until I'm ready to eat my hand, or low end of the range, now 60 kgs after my consultant measured my height yesterday. My refeed is being ordered so I will have it as soon as I do get the signal.
I lost 4 cms off my main measurements and 4.5 cms off the others this week, best I've done in a long time. The fat's finally moving from some of my problem spots, particularly my hips. Thighs and legs will always be a problem. I have lots of loose, crepey skin on my upper arms, upper legs and midriff in particular. I have a sexy new body, as long as I don't try to show too much of it. My back is aching when I stand for a while. Mostly I'm sitting down, but sometimes have to stand for three hours or so doing demos. Also, I'm getting dizzy sometimes in the demos and need to sit. I've cut back on water a bit, hope that will stop the dizziness. Now I'm going to update my losses in the week by week thread. I'm always leaving it until I read all the diaries, and by then I'm too tired. I'm so far behind with diaries now that I'll never get up to date again, so might as well put other things first. AJ

Hi AJ
You are going great guns! Very impressive. I'm starting to worry that my losses will keep slowing down as I am definitely hungrier now than I've been on this program...except for the first week! LL

LouLou, I think we all may make the mistake of thinking that we are going to look like supermodels when we finish. Unfortunately, we won't. We won't remove all the fat from our bodies. If we did we would look like the prisoners who came out of concentration camps. When we reach refeed we will still have some fat left. If we have perfect bodies, that will be evenly distributed. For most of us, there are still going to be some bits that have more padding than we would like. In some ways I hope I lose several more kilos and in particular from the outside top of my thighs. In other ways I'm less sure whether I do want to lose several more kilos, as I think that will make it more difficult for me to maintain my weight. I am already a kilo below where I used to be able to maintain, and at these weights previously I moved back up fairly quickly. I will have Dr Cohen's guidelines to help me now, but even so I wonder if I'm going to have to work very hard to maintain my final weight. Don't focus on a number, or on how you think you look. You're looking very much better than you did at the beginning. Focus on whether your body is telling you it's having to work too hard to find the fat now and it would like you to feed it properly.
AJ

Thanks for the advice AJ. I remembered today that women who have big breasts get hungry sooner, I think that could possibly be what's going on. The Hubby refers to them as Everest and K2!!
