Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Hi Koh,
I agree with you. I NEED to see results. I'm on day 5 now (a newby) and for the first time today I am feeling really good. I would hate to waste a whole month if I'm doing the wrong thing. I've invested in an electronic scale (from Cohen's) and found that some of the food I've weighed out (on my analogue scales) for the week was up to 15 grams !!! under the recommended weight. Thats another bite or two of meat. (Saying that, I'm leaving my weigh-in until Monday, but can already tell by my clothes that I"m losing a bit). The programme must be working as my headaches (which I've had prior to Cohen's) have vanished and I actually sleep better at night. I'm excited about getting on the scales next week (never thought I'd say that!) Kokko Last edited by Kokko; 24-09-2010 at 17:45. |

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Hey, Kokko and Snapper,
Hehe - you both laid it out right there !! Feeling fantastic is what it is all about !! And that feeling comes from a number of directions (depending on the individual). Doesn't matter what works for you, as long as it works for you And THIS PLACE WORKS for so many - you too, it seems (why am I not surprised? ) Nah, kidding - really, I am happy for both of you, as this is working for you too. In the end, it is all about YOU being happy/confident/relaxed about the process. And, yeah, knowing EARLY when things aren't working so you can put them right (which was my original intention for this thread). Koh

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Ooh, I'm glad to see I'm not being terribly naughty by planning to weigh-in on Sunday, which will be the end of my first week. I'm one of those "instant gratification" types in that while I can stick to something like this diet, I really need to see some sort of result early on or I just throw in the towel. But even so, I'm at the end of day four today and already I can feel a difference. My sugar cravings have vanished completely (didn't expect that) and I feel...more aware of myself, if that means anything to anyone. <g> So...here's hoping the week one weigh-in won't send me spiralling into despair just yet!

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
I will definitely check that thread out, thank you. I have to admit the only con I'm worried about is the hair thinning. Fortunately I have a LOT of hair -- basically it's the first thing a hairdresser says to me, with varying degrees of horror in their voice -- but I just had it chemically straightened and I love it dearly. Please, hair, don't fall out!
...fortunately I work in a pharmacy, so I'm already stocking up on hair and nail formulas. <g> |

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Hi Everyone
Things are going well, I'm heading to the 4 week mark and feeling so much better. Although I still have a long road ahead I feel quite confident that for the first time in my life that I can actually do this. Weigh in is on Saturday 23/10/10 and I'm hoping for at least a 1.5kg loss. From the 26/09/10 - 16/10/10 I have lost 6.1kg's. I am desperatley hoping for a 7kg a month loss. This will get me to my goal in the 6 month period. If anyone has any good advise that they are willing to share, please let me know. Good-Luck everyone. x |

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
I agree that different things work for different people - there is no way I could go a month without weighing in...first week down and I just weighed in.
Feels much better to know that I have made some progress! |

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Nice week Kasumi! Welcome to the forum. I, too, try to keep the image of a body without the unnecessary fat in mind. I have never before been so successful on any diet plan and I am continually impressed by how well this plan works, in addition to how wonderful I feel.

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
So true skwerly! I too have been trying different kinds of diet and even strenuous exercise but nothing seem to work. I am very happy and excited to know that the cohen's diet is the real thing and I personally see and feel the results! I can't wait to recommend this diet to my family and friends!

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Hi Koh,
I'm new to the program (on my 2nd day) and to this forum. I'm still getting the hang of it but so far so good. I like what you said about jumping the scales early. I think I'll need that kind of motivation to keep me going. Thanks. |

Re: New Members, give yourself a boost !!
Hi All,
I am glad I am not the only one that can't wait a month to weigh in. I have decided I will HAVE to weigh in weekly. I am not good with surprises and "waiting". I infact weighed this morning. I know I should really wait a week but just had to see if there was a little movement! I have just started Dr Cohen's diet so I'm a newbie to both the diet and the forum. I started on Saturday in fact - yep, 2 days down, soooo many to go. So far so good. I am going to take this one day at a time. I do hope this empty feeling in my tummy goes away soon though. I have been drinking a lot of liquids to fill the void, so to speak, which means my tummy has a really squishy feeling right now. Thanks to everyone for all the motivational posts. I'm sure all the newbies appreciate them. I certainly do. Yvette |

I received my program yesterday and am also starting Monday 05 March.
I'm doing the program remotely as I live some hours from the closest clinic. I'll be relying heavily on this forum for info and cant wait to join in. |
