Don't give up - I am going much more slowly than I did the first time around (and that was only March-July 2012!).

I am sure there are some things that I could change to see some better results - but I need someone to point them out to me! I am hoping for a much more "normal" cohens loss for this week. I don't think I will hit refeed till November either!

Try not to stress about it!! That only hinders the situation even more. I know what you mean though - I've calculated on a s/sheet what my body has been dropping and how many weeks to Christmas. It's getting less and less each month, but I just hold on to the fact that maybe without warning, I'll have another big month and get it back on to "statistical average track"

I so hear you, I feel like my losses are soooo much slower than everyone else's (even before I deviated). But they are going down and that's the main thing so keep it up!

This is my fear too!! I just want to be able to enjoy Christmas and not worry about timing etc.

At first my losses were on schedule, but they've dropped right down now!!

What are you averages? In kilos. haha.

Hi Javanilla.. you are doing really well
It's not easy. I have been doing it for 8 months now. Almost at the end. Ive had some months where I have barely lost 4 but then the next I've lost 7, so chin up
This journey has many ups and downs but coming from a morbidly obese person it is soooo worth it. When you get near the end it will seem like the time has just flown by. I can barely believe it. I am averaging 1.5 a week.
Keep going you are beautiful and worth it!

Last week I had a great loss of 2.1kg but that's not the norm. More often than not each week will fall between 0.5 and 1.5 kg loss and I've also had plateau's where my weight stayed the same for days - one lasted 10 days straight!

We all have slow weeks/months and then some great speedier ones. You have to go with the flow - we cannot control it anymore than sticking to plan 100%

I will definitely not be finished before the new year. I have already comes to terms with this. But I know I must reach goal so I just have to deal with it. It's going to be tough and annoying but I just have to deal with it. No point in getting upset about it when I can't change it.

It will be tough but we can totally do it.

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by and offering support. I really appreciate it!

I know the journey will have ups and downs, and I know that I'll get there eventually. Just needed to brace myself for the possibility of being on a diet during the holidays. Which, I guess is okay, since everyone in my family will probably gain weight while I lose weight. Haha. I must firmly resolve not to deviate.

I had a really tough day at work today. A bunch of craziness happened and also, I was shivering practically the whole day. On the day that I did not bring a jacket too!!! I was sooooo cold! I am hoping that is my body trying to shed some fat, because really, I don't get like that everyday and I know I'm not going to be sick because I don't FEEL sick. Just cold. Has anyone else gone through this? I've been on quite a plateau lately too and last week was my lowest weight loss of all weeks I've been on it. I still did lose some weight, but far below my average.

Lil_doll - btw, my average is about 1 kg/week. Lost more my first week...but that was the first week so I threw that data out of my calculations!

I got really cold all the time as I got nearer my goal weight - didn't help that it was in the depths of winter - I even commissioned a nose warmer to be made (I only wear it in bed at night when I need to) as my nose would get so so cold. I kept a spare warm jacket on my desk chair at work and a beanie and scarf in my drawer. Now days I sneak off to a corner and do 10 pressups to get the blood flowing (had to do that yesterday).

This time around I am probably used to feeling a little colder, and I was heavier through winter proper. We are officially in spring and although we have had some wild weather already today - now it is warm with a Nor West wind and 20 degrees - feels like summer!

I think the cold ness (with out a fever or sickness) is just one of the wonderful side effects (along with awesome weight loss) of Cohens.

Thanks mcbell! I'm SO FAR from my goal weight though!!! I was expecting this closer to goal, but not when I'm 43 lbs away. Oh well. Must remember to bring a jacket!

I'm in Australia and we're just entering Spring now. I definitely felt the cold this winter more than any other time in my life and I've moved north to mild Sydney! It's definitely a Cohen's side effect - I've read it across other people's diaries too. It takes a lot of energy to keep our bodies warm and I think it could be that we're just not eating enough to warm ourselves up quickly.

Buy an electric blanket and some snugly clothes as you head into winter!

I was just as cold last week. I told my husband that it was my body telling me I am not a whale, I do not need the blubber to keep me warm. My body is consuming the blubber and I can use blankets and jackets to ward off the cold... Here's to no more blubber!!

Hey Jav!

Being cold is definitely an affect of the diet. We don't eat enough to keep us warm. Just rug up! Always bring a jacket with you! haha.

Also... You have to count your first week loss into your average!!! Everyone does! haha. If I didn't have my first week included I shudder to think how low my rate would be! haha.

1 kilo a week is GREAT! How many diets can do that?? We don't have to exercise! All we need to do is weigh a couple of meals and voila.

lil_doll - I know, 1 kilo/week is pretty awesome. I am feeling better about the weight loss, especially now that I seem to have gotten over the plateau! And I just have a puff vest with me at all times...seems to help!

So today, I finally hit the 25 lb weight loss mark. YAY! I am celebrating because I track my weight on LoseIt and they give you a badge for 10 lbs, 25 lbs and 50 lbs weight loss. I get my 25lb badge today. HOORAAAY!

Also...I reorganized my closet (I can actually see what clothes I have in there!) and am off to the tailors later because I found some smaller size jeans I bought and I need them shortened. Can I just say...and this needs a big celebration...I FIT IN SKINNY JEANS!!!! Granted, they're size 10, but they don't look bad!

Wheeee!!!!!

Now, if only my wedding and engagement rings would fit. C'mon fingers, shrink already!

Congrats on the 25lbs!!!

The rings will fit soon! I am finally wearing mine again... It's quite looking down and seeing them as a nice little reminder that my fingers are slimmer

lil_doll - can't wait for the fingers to slim down for the rings to fit!

I seem to be having a record breaking week this week. That was after the really really long plateau I had last week. I'm just a little worried because I'm off to Disneyland with my family this weekend!

I'm planning on staying on the diet as we got accommodations that has a full kitchen, and I'll just carry on the way I always have. My biggest fear is consuming enough water. I don't know if I can drink that much water while on the go, especially on a long drive down to Southern California. Ahhh well. Will have to fit that in somehow.

I just hope and pray that my little guys behave on the loooong car trip down.

Wish me luck!
