Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
congrats on the 10 kg weight loss! Sorry haven't been around much and havent replied to your question! I have a Welsh cob sectionD cross and a Friesian yearling filly. I do a bit of everything, my idea is I want to enjoy all aspects of horse riding and ownership. So I trail ride, jump, dressage, western pleasure and even a bit of horse back archery.. I work full time and don't have time to compete! So I don't concentrate on one discipline it's more about being able to have the ultimate all rounder horse who will do whatever I ask of him/her. My Cob is amazing I love him heaps. Anyways, well done on your progress so far!

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Hello Peeps!!
Sorry I've been MIA for a while - man I've been busy!! I cant believe its only a couple of weeks to Christmas - ewww. All has been good Cohen's wise. I had a bit of a plateau early last week - I have to admit I've joined the daily weigher's club I got addicted during my plateau - the scales even went up a couple of hundred grams is it which has lead me to my daily weighing obsession. Although I admit I always manage to forget what my weight is. Luckily I have a Fitbit Aria scales and so I can log on and track my weightloss. I would recommend these to anyone that is doing Cohen's - they are fantastic. It's great to be able to go online and see how the weight move over time. Food wise - I had my first cheeezzeeee meal on Friday! YUM!!! Actually it was my first melted cheeeezzeee meal as I've had ricotta a couple of times. I made a baseless pizza (I cant eat Premiums and I was worried that the Ricecakes would ignite in the oven). OMG it was so yummy (ok I'm drooling now at the thought). I also had an yummy lunch on Wednesday - my coach was over and I had a meeting in the city in the morning. Usually I have my lessons at day break at home but since I had to go to the city I couldn't. So I had meal 2 for breakfast and cooked up my allowance of shrooms for lunch, and an apple in the airfryer. Not together - the plan was to have the mushies in the car on the way to my lesson, followed by the airfryed apples with ricotta. The plan went well - I raced into the city in peak hour, raced back and loaded the horse in the float - drove off and realized my float tyre was flat (Relles you will understand how frustrating that is!!) went back home (involves turning my massive float around in my street with a tyre that could possibly come off the rim...) fix tyre and head back out again. My prize for this was to munch on my yummy lunch while multi tasking the car and float... YUM!!!! OMG the apple and ricotta was so amazing. Honestly it tasted like cream. I'm going to have it again maybe for breakfast but this time have the apple warm.... mmmmmm. My energy levels have been interesting lately -during the week I've had SO much energy that I've driven my husband crazy doing stuff around the house - yesterday and today I'm as flat as a tack!!! It's incredible to go from one extreme to the other. Last night I at dinner quite late for me (7.30) but by 8.30 I wanted to go to bed!! I held off till 9.00 and then read for 1/2 and hour but I reckon I could have nodded of at 8.00!! Has anyone else experienced weird energy levels. Again today I've been flat - but my husband is on site today so I've managed to do very little - actually caught up on GOT's.... I'm so glad you enjoyed the desert Zuch fritter.... Caz your pics of it with the mango look so delish... Woops drooling again. Ohh - and the scales are going down.... I think it's 12 kg down now!! Woo hooo more than 1/2 way there!!! BUT I reckon this is the hardest half!!! Off to read everyone's diaries and catch up!! Hugs T |

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Not trying to be rude, Denny... but I DEMAND a photo of this ricotta apple you speak of! That sounds amazing!! And tell me exactly how you made it!!! PLEASE!! I have never had ricotta on plan! But that sounds so good!!
Also... I am a daily weigher and yeh, I always forget the number basically as soon as I leave the bathroom! haha. It's quite amusing! I tend to remember the feeling though.

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
LD I dont think it would be possible for you to be rude - ever!!!
I'll let you in on a little secret - I'm a bit technologically challenged!!! Do I have to use photo bucket or something to upload pics to this forum or can I do it from my pc?? The apple is easy though- just chop it up (I leave the skin on) put it in the cake tin thing of the airdryer, add some sprite zero, some cinnamon and nutmeg and cook for 15 mins. Then sprinkle some stevia on top and cook for another 5 mins. (I have it at 200) I added my ricotta when the apple was cool but hot or warm it would be al melty and yummy!!! Shhh dont tell anyone but ricotta tastes just like cream... Not at all like Cottage Cheese - but creamy and yummmmmmy...... Give it a go! |

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
haha, thanks, Denny!
Adding a pic can be pretty tricky! You don't need a photobucket though (you could but you don't need one). When you reply or post something, you go to 'go advanced' and above where you do your typing and change fonts etc there is the typical paperclip icon. and if you click that it opens a new window where you can upload photos from there. You chose the file ( find it on your computer) and click upload. I'm pretty sure that's all you do... Or you can start an album with your profile...

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Apples and ricotta sound delish! Need to invest in an air fryer! I've noticed my energy levels have varied too. Have days where I just keep going and going and other times where all I want is to go to bed. I think I am more likely to be tired if I did something particularly energetic the day before.
Awesome that you are over half way! |

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Thanks for dropping by my diary, Denny! I can so relate to your feeding 19 people on Christmas Day. I have to feed 50 on Christmas eve,it will really be a challenge for me not to give in and nibble on the sweets!

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
I feel like such a cop out - I have never once even entertained the idea of hosting Christmas at my house....I am usually such a grinch though, but I have made a real effort to notice and halt my grinchi-ness this year - I even donated my Christmas tree and decorations and lights to my department area at work - as I have no room to put it up this year....and I probably spend more hours there anyway.
I will be feeding my cat this Christmas. |

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Hi Denny, hope Christmas entertaining isn't too daunting for you. I keep reminding myself that it is just one Christmas which in the scheme of things isn't so bad. Have you thought about what you might have Christmas day yet? I need to start planning something really yummy. My consultant mentioned a recipe to make biscuits - using saladas, ryvita, coke and all spice. I think you make it into a dough and cut out star shapes and bake. When she gives recipe to me I'll trial and feed back. Good luck with all the Christmas madness

@mcbell... I too will be feeding my cats haha.
You ladies are amazing cooking for all those people! The most I've ever cooked for was 6 and it took me FOREVER! (seriously... my guests had to wait until around 8:30 at night to eat because I bit off more than I can chew. I've never tried to be an adult since ) |

Re: Dennyhorse - galloping to a leaner me.
Ok - so now I have 5 for lunch and a mere 17 for dinner...........
Holy crap!!! BUT I have a plan - I will be the hostess with the mostest, too busy making sure everyone is stuffing their faces to eat!! And because it's at my place I can make sure my food is available!!! Other than planning for Christmas all is good here - went for a weigh in this morning and am down to 71.5kg and it's TOM (we all seem to be on the same TOM at the moment!!!) My consultants are so uninspiring - I'm so glad that I manage a positive mental attitude cause seriously if I didn't I reckon I would have given up ages ago as they are not very motivational!!! Oh well their losss!!! It's stinking stonking hot here atm - thank god we have a pool too cool off in. I bought some bikini's at Big W a couple of weeks ago (only for home when no one is over!!) and I'm glad to say that they are now too big for me!! Yay!! Actually most of my clothes are now too big for me. I discussed with my husband about storing them away - and he said - why??? So that you can grow back into them again?? NOOOOOO. So I'm donating to the Salvo's or Vinnies.. that way if I need bigger clothes I will have to lose the weight not buy bigger ones!!!! Which means that I need to spend money on new ones Thank god it's summer and I can make do with cheap pieces from Cotton On etc until I get to goal weight and figure our what size I am - first world problem hey!!!! We have our work "do" next Friday - but we just to a BBQ - we have a factory and most of the guys would prefer a bbq lunch, a bonus and to bugger off home early, so that's what we do. Not too hard for me to work my Cohen's food into (esp since I do the bbq!!) Christmas Day I have covered being the Hostest with the Mostest... and then we are off down south for a couple of days with friends... That will be difficult but only if I make it!! So - taking my scales (big and small) my frozen portions and my mindset - I'll be ok!! xxxx T |
