So, the dreaded weekend has come and gone. I still went out with the family for Sunday lunch and we went to a Chinese hot pot place, where the food is cooked in broth in front of you shabu shabu style. I had boiled fish and shrimp with mushrooms and asparagus. Not wonderful but the seafood was fresh so it had a natural sweetness. I had 10 shrimp (around 5g each) and two fillets (quarter of a palm) of lapu-lapu. 4 mushrooms and less than 2 sticks of asparagus. Weird that they skinned the asparagus, i found that so odd- so i ended up with mush. happy that they let me choose the place where "i can eat" lol. For dinner i had my prawn burger and a ton of baby cucumber, from the looks of my allowance. I'd like to give myself a pat on the back. Hehe.

Thanks, mesmer. The only way i gauge is because i weigh my shrimp and then count the pieces and get the average when i do it at home. I've bought different sizes of shrimp so i have an idea. I can't do it for chicken or beef or anything else! Lol. Ah for yogurt i measured it in measuring cups to have an idea. Hehe. Next sunday, i think I'll be bringing my meal or ask them to have lunch at home instead. Stressful to eat out! 😳

Today was a happy day with food! Very pleased with all my meals.

Had a hard boiled egg with cucumbers for breakfast, prawn burger with (again) cucumbers and an indulgent mushroom and ricotta soup for dinner. I'd show all of you the mushroom soup but it looks like a bowl of inedible mush! Just mush not mushroom. Lol. I had it with a crispbread and I'd have it everyday it if weren't for the cheese. I'd try it some other time in broth and more garlic and see how that turns out.

I hopped on the scale today but no movement, then i realized that the last time i weighed was saturday, so maybe it was unreasonable to expect anything. I am just one of those in the doomed 10% who lose 5kg flat per month. Kinda sucks, but some is better than none!

Hey NS! about the weightloss, have you thought of the cheese? maybe thats slowing down the losses? Coz Ive read in some posts that it does contribute to slow losses on some ppl. And also sleep?

i havent had cheese yet since i started, coz a) Im not really a cheese person 2) I really dont think cheese is enough to keep me full So i havent tried it yet. Maybe I need to find some good cheese based recipe...

all the best and keep going!

ooooh... cheese recipe thats epic...

You take those big mushrooms, onion and tomato, chop the onion and tomato small, mix it with some spices and herbs and balsamic, put them on the mushroom(round side down), let it bake in the oven a bit, then top with mozarella cheese and let that grill... holy wow... yummy!

Hi everyone! I've been sick the past days, today included. i couldn't hold my food down. I've been stuck to apples and i won't be expecting any losses in the week (s)? Darn. My body is craving all sorts of things but i just couldn't eat! Going to the doctors by next week if this doesn't stop. 😔 I've a history of digestive imbalance and might need to straighten that out again. Hope everyone is doing great and i hope i get better to get back on my eating plan soon.

hello NS! I hope you feel better soon! I hate being sick, I thought I was going to be yesterday, turns out I just needed to sleep (more), but its a bummer hey? Try to stick to the program if you can even without the appetite, might help you recover faster (?)

Take care!! *hugs*

Big, big, big hug needsunshine!

I hope you have woken up feeling 100% today!!! If there is anything I can say is that health first and program second. It tried and tried whilst being sick until just couldn't anymore. Eat what you can, Cohens allowed foods that is, and worry about the amounts when you are able to again.

But I do hope you are much much better today.
