Default Re: Multi Vitamins

Ok seems that my clinic ONLY recommend the following:

BLACKMORE BLUE LABEL

NEWAYS (available through the clinic or Neways distributor)

Apparently the womens variety are no good...

And all I can put my 'deviation' bloodwork to is the multivitamins I was taking...I have taken Cenovis and Herron...not anymore!

Default Vitamins?

ok, i did a search on the entire forum.
read a bit before i decided to put a new topic up...

so sorry if this has been hashed out over & over.

but, being that i am doing cohen's via the internet and that i am in the us (so we have different vits.) PLEASE HELP ME.

i know b6 must be under 5mg as to not stimulate the appetite (OMG, imagine that?) and that i need cal, mag, iron, zinc & chromium.

so what's a girl to do?

when and how many do i take and will it really make a big difference ( i sure do hope so!)

any guidance and opinions would be grand-
thanks everyone,
bitten

Bitten
I take a multi., one a day, some will take the chromium 2 to 3 times a day. I take one if I feel cravings. I also take a flaxseed oil as fish oil makes be belch fish nasty. I take the others once a day as well, the mag. is slow mag and I started taking that to keep the leg cramps away.
I also take vit. D-3 once a day.
Hope this helps

Default Please, multivitamins one question

Sorry about vitamins again...

I got these multivitamins
Centrum new formula from A to Z

I heard you said they were approved by dr.Cohen, but I saw corn starch and sucrose and modified food starch as ingridient... and now I'm afraid they might not be the right ones?
Of course these ingridients might be in such traces its neglectable, but I wanna make sure...
I was having bad ones and I really need something better...so I ordered them when I saw you said they were approved...

Thanks guys big time...

Hi Maya,

The Centrum vitamins are not approved by Dr Cohen because they have the sucrose, etc in them.

I get the Blackmores Multivitamins if you can get those. They have no additional nasty additives.

Default Vitamins

I use Nature's Own multi-vitamins, they have been approved by my consultant. I looked at the centrum but realised they had a few things in them that weren't allowed in the program.

Blackmores multivitamin - sustained release multi - delivers nutrients over 8 hrs. These are what the Brisbane clinic recommends.
I live in Western Queensland and they are limited here but have found some good deals on line even on eBay for these and fish oil - be careful what you get as some are not recommended band before you purchase them check with a clinic as to what ingredients are recommended - some things will make you hungry mores o than others.

I recall discussing it with the Brisbane clinic and some are not recommended as they cause hunger and its worse for women than men !!!!! but they can tell you instantly which ones but know the Blackmores are a definite.

Default Vitamins....again.

I am taking the Blackmores sustained release blue label vitamins, on the bottle it says to take 1 tablet a day. Does anyone take more than 1 a day coz I thought I saw a post about having 2 a day somewhere.

Just checking.

Suzie,

I took two in a day sometimes when I got close to refeed and was really hungry, but mostly just one a day throughout the program

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Default Recommended vitamins?

Hello. I'm about to start on Cohen's. Can anyone recommend some vitamins that I should purchase. I feel as though the ones they are offering at the clinic are pretty expensive. Any recommendations? thank you.

Hey Nance,

I was told by my clinic if I did not want to take the ones they offered I could take :

Blackmores sustained release multivitamin AND
Natures own Calcium and magnesium

I also personally take

Blackmores hair skin and nails
flaxseed oil

Chromium tablets were also handy for cravings.

The clinic should tell you which alternative vitamins they recommend if you ask. If you search on vitamins in the forum you should also find threads discussing them.

I prefer whole food natural products but can't have my stash of stuff at the moment.
And that is OK.
Many of my friends don't understand. "YOU CAN'T EVEN HAVE CARROT??!?!" but spurlina is SOO GOOD for YOU!!! What about this or that.

The thing is the Neway product is a very very good brand, and while it is expensive it is much better quality. It is made from 100% natural products and so the release of vitamins is like you are eating food. Synthetic vitamins have a very high refusal rate to the body and you loose most into the urine up to 90%. The body CAN tell the difference. Off the shelf products are synthetic and that is why they are able to be cheaper.

hands down Neway is the totally best product you can take on this diet. (I have other products that I would love to use, but as they are complete whole food cannot be taken).

And no I'm not a Neway person I just spend many of hours reading up about this sort of thing.

Anyway that is my 2 cents.

regards
Sx
