Thats a great change size 24 to 16! You have done so well! I must admit I got addicted to shopping when I lost weight! I think it was to help divert me from eating plus everything just looks so much better its great reinforcement of how far you have come. Sometimes I just try on clothes with no intention of buy just as positive reinforcement and to motivate myself to keep on the straight and narrow!

It's great buying new clothes isn't it Shuki?!

I've found Target has been so helpful having a sale on jeans - bought size 14 yesterday and while I can get them on, cannot...quite...get...them...done..up! SOON though!

Thank goodness I don't have to be on the eating plan for ever though - very tired and wrung out...ah well I just have to keep my eyes on the prize!

Size 14 - you must have danced up to the counter!!!!! I was in a shop a few days ago and picked up some jeans to buy - the lady was bemused that I didn't want to try them on - and I couldn't be bothered explaining to her that even if they were tight now they would fit soon...as it was when i got home they fit and i wear them all the time!

LOL- it is most peculiar buying things and knowing that they are going, not only to fit, but to be too big in a few weeks. I can now do up the 14's but they are kinda snug, BUT by next week they will be ok. Then I can get rid of the 18s which are in the 'need a belt' category!

Shuki - look at your weight loss - how fabulous!

Woohoo 5 kg lost exactly and I am now 'within range' for the % fat calculator on my scales! Next trick is to be an 80's girl.

That is such good advice JLou!
When things start getting that baggy for me, I will be taking them to the tailor to have them all altered - No Op Shop type places here, but alteration is very cheap, and there are places that specialise in just doing alterations! Mind you, I might have to wait till I am like 2 to 3 sizes down before I alter, since it is a bit hard to keep altering the same thing over and over again!

Hmmm like so Cohenites before, constipation has struck! Darn and here I was hoping to be lucky! Going to try out a few of the remedies suggested ...kiwifruit with the skins on might just be left till last though...

Just started trying on some old clothes that I haven't worn for years and have come to the conclusion that there has been a certain amount of creep in clothing sizes...I think the old sizes were smaller - certainly an old 16 is the same size as a new 14!!!!!

Oh, yes indeed - clothes sizes are such a mystery [or a mess?] - I'm a size 12 currently and I have and can wear comfortably clothes in sizes, 8, 10, 12 and 14! Go figure!

Good luck with the BM - it could be an unplesant issue, I know. Have you tried a glass of hot water 1st thing in the morning?

Hi Kenga - I've tried a variety of different things in the morning, including going for a walk (which helped a bit) but i am very willing to try anything and will tomorrow for sure!

Clothing sizes are a complete mystery to me too - I prefer the idea of being able to march into a store, see the right size and march out. This might mean I actually have to try things on! Another habit from the past being blown away!

Thanks for asking Kenga - found coffee works a treat but have got myself a backup plan in terms of a packetof Movicol in the cupboard, Seems ok. Certainly better than kiwi fruit with the skins!

Well size 14 is now not a snug fit anymore and I'm thinking that size 12 will be about 3 to 4 weeks away (Target jeans sizes anyways!)

My mum went on holiday for a couple of weeks and keeps looking at me and saying 'but your so skinny' - she's not trying to stop me getting to goal or anything (I've told her all the good stuff about how horrible I may look just before refeed so they don't panic!)but she is just amazed that 2 weeks makes so much difference. So am I to be honest.

Exams coming up in less than a month - got to buckle down and get some more study done but competing with that is the reno on our new house. How will I go back to full time work when I have so much to do!!!! Argh!!!

Hmmm..this diet is not messing with my head but my poor old body is starting to look all sorts of weird shapes - I used to be all rounded under the skin with muscles from the gym as well as additional padding but that is all going. Skin on legs very dry and first bit of crepey skin on neck and inner thighs.

I suppose things will get worse before they get better - just going to dive into the forum to see if there are some good skin creams recommended by other cohenites! Thank goodness for this forum!!!!!

my moobs used to be pert and firm now they look more orang utan ( sorry was that way way TMI)
anything with zinc should help
but i have found that there is some shrinkage also happening so i am sure it wont be a total disaster
cheers

*snigger* probably TMI but where else but this forum can you say it and EVERYONE knows exactly what you mean - not to mention sympathises and has the same problems!

I'll try something with extra zinc - as I am not looking forward to having an extra eyelid! Mind you, since I have been loosing weight (somewhat miraculously it seems sometimes) my anxiety level about what I actually look like has dropped considerably! Weird.

Volte - well done on the jeans. I am a convert to shapewear....especially under jeans. Gets rid of the saggy baggy elephant tummy...

Shapewear?????? This sounds like it should have HIGH priority in my next shopping outing - is there anywhere in particular that is good for this sort of thing?
