Hey Giggle!

My sister is a bit like that! But she flirts with everyone!! I've never even introduced her to a BF... I would want to punch her in the throat! hahaha.

hi Guys!

Wow, its monday morning and I need a weekend to recover from the weekend! LOL. I'm feeling very fragile this morning.... We had a crazy busy weekend, had mom in law come visit and she brought my sister in law along(I love my sister in law to bits, she's only 20), so besides that, it was my mom in law's birthday during the week, as well as our godparents(from our wedding, yes, us portuguese catholics do that. hee hee) son's birthday and my grandpa's 80th. so wow, it was crazy!!! Buuuuut, I survived, fully unscathed and with no deviations, even when presented with ALL my favourites!!!(Including the two very huge bars of chocolate my mother in law left in my fridge all weekend long)

You dont realise just how much your life revolves around food until you're on a program like Cohens where every single thing you put in your mouth is 'monitored'...

One thing I'm worried about... did any of you experience a time where your measurements stalled? I cant go weigh, because I have to go in to the doctors office to weigh(yes I dont own a scale yet) so I'm not sure how things are looking in that department, but it seems like my measurements arent moving, and its stressing me out because I really am being good. And I cant go weigh this weekend cos I'm surprising my hubby with a weekend away for our 2 year anniversary... uggggggggh, I dunno! LOL. I guess why its stressing me out so much is because(not sure if I've typed about this yet), I bought this really stunning pair of pants just before I started Cohens and at that point I could only pull it up about midway on my upper legs, two weeks into Cohens I could pull it up to just below my bum and tum, and then two weeks later I could pull it all the way up but it was still a bit too tight to wear... That was 2 weeks ago and the pants still fit the same way... I really want to wear them on my birthday, which is 2 weeks and 1 day away... LOL. I'm sounding like a kid throwing a tantrum here!

I did make one absolutely great find this weekend though.... We went to the farmers market again(to show the mom in law) and there was this dude there that sold home made dried mango... nothing added, just yummy mango goodness!!!! YAY!!!! however, I do regret not buying more... hubby is loving it too so he's nearly polished off the whole bag!!! boohoo... hee hee.

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!!!!

@LD: SISTERS!!!! She was up to her usual tricks again yesterday at the kiddy party, but I held my head high... My reasoning for her behaviour is that she's a Gemini, and a very typical one at that, split personality!!!! But i still love her, she just drives me nuts.

@Cazspaz: Thanks for the check in hun! I have been lurking just didnt have a chance to post...

@Jones: ha ha ha ha ha, somedays I want to hey! Like yesterday! But I just gave her the eviiiiiiil eye and she shut her mouth.

Hey Giggles!

Perhaps you are currently going through a weight loss cycle and not measurements... OR, maybe you are losing measurements, just not where you want! Our bodies can be pretty tricky!!

Hope the pants fit for your b'day! That would be a nice present!

thanks LD!!! I was chatting to my neighbour last night(the one that got me into Cohens) and she said in a four week cycle, she'd lose kg's the first 2 weeks and cm's the next 2, so lets hope it has been my kg's week, because the previous time I went to weigh, I'd lost a dismal 3kg's in 2 weeks... boohoo.

According to the app on my phone(thanks LD, its the one you use ), if I could keep at an average of 4kg's a week(my current average), I could finish at the end of May... that would be awesome! But I know it'll take a little longer than that, I just hope it doesnt take more than a year.

I'm currently not losing any weight (so frustrating for a daily weigher!) but my cm's are definitely shrinking... Clothes are way looser and I can feel (parts of) my rib cage! Stupid confusing cycles confusing everything

I'm a daily weigher too but I really like the challenges in the challenge forum because that's where I record my weekly losses. Having a record of the weekly losses over each season is a better way of monitoring myself than the daily weighing. I can see the four week cycle where some weeks I plateau and others are medium drops and then I'll get the odd big drop here and there too! It always progresses though - even when it slows down (as it has recently).

The Spring Challenge will be finishing up in only a couple of weeks but you both should sign up for the inevitable Summer Challenge when it starts in December

Hi Gigglesza,
I'm brand, spanking new here, so I'm catching up on as many new diaries as I can right now. This forum seems like amazing support, and already I've found reading them so helpful and very inspiring. I'm feeling really empowered right now, the fact that so many of us who have quite a bit to lose are seeing such great results really speaks volumes. I've only just started so I hope to join you all.
Anyway, you're definitely one of those inspirations! Well done on keeping strong, despite a number of challenges you've faced in your first month. Look at your results so far, you're doing SO well, I can only hope I can do the same.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Enjoy your well deserved bracelet, and your beautiful puppy!

hi F&W!

Thank you so much for your kind words! And trust me, this forum IS amazing support. I dont always post everytime I'm on here, but I always turn to the forum when I need a push or a little positivity. Everyone on here is just amazing, and the things we are all achieving thanks to the good Dr is incredible but most importantly, life changing!

Caz, I've been keeping an eye on the challenges actually(ok only when I actually remember. LOL) and waiting for one to come along that I can join, so I most definitely will!

@Jones, I know, its driving me nuts. Luckily I'm a weekly/bi-monthly/monthly(whenever I can get to the docs office) weigher so I dont notice every single little gram. I just wish it would go faster because I have such a long journey ahead of me(I've never been very patient honestly) LOL

Lots of love to you all!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Wow, this has been one crazy week so far!!! We went away last weekend for our anniversary, I surprised hubby with a weekend in a game reserve... was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing! and spike went with so it was even better!

Then it was our anniversary on tuesday, had a bit of a bad day cos we couldnt even go out for dinner or anything, but hubby made me feel better by taking new progress shots of me and making me compare them. lol.

Works been crazy too, had a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge deadline or still have, its tomorrow and I still have lots to do. poor me

Thursday was a bad day... our cleaning lady comes on a thursday. So shortly after she gets to our place(she gets there when we're already at work), she calls me to say she doesnt know what happened but when she got back from throwing the bin out, spike doesnt look well, his eye looks hurt. Truth came out, she forgot to put the doorstop at the door so while she was out the door slammed hard on little Spike and his eye partially popped out hubby rushed home and got him to the vet where he spent the rest of the day, but only time will tell if he loses his vision... this is what he looks like this morning, the swelling has gone down a lot and his eye isnt as full of blood anymore, so we're hopeful:

Then the good news, had my official monthly weigh in yesterday at the clinic and I've lost 28.7kgs and 91cm to date!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! thats almost 20% of the way there! What an awesome early bday present!!!

So the challenge for today is firstly, get all that crappy work done, and secondly, start baking cupcakes etc for the office for my birthday. Thats going to be a challenge not to test anything. LOL.

Anywho, hope you all have a wonderful week! I hopefully will, birthday on tuesday then off on friday(hubby is taking me and spike away for the weekend.)

Oh Giggles, so sorry to hear about poor Spike. Poor little pup, that must have been awful. Fingers crossed he heals quickly and there's no permanent damage.

WOW, that's seriously awesome on your loss, well done! So close to getting that next charm (what a great idea, btw). You must be feeling so great. Your hubby sounds so lovely and supportive, I have one of those too. Such gems, it makes things just so much easier doesn't it?

Would love to see some progress pics if you're feeling like sharing. Keep up the great work xx

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Hi Giggles,

I just caught up on your diary and wanted to drop by and say hi

You are doing so well and those losses are fantastic. Big pat on the back for you.
Great to see you have your motivators on place. I have revised mine as they were a little stale there for a while.

Great that you are cooking and baking and not trying anything. I cook for my family as well as myself and if you don't put anything in your mouth, you will be fine. One little lick can be your undoing. Good luck with it.

Hugs for little Spike.
