DAY 11
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 64.8kg
Total change: - 0.6kg

And I'm back down to 64.8. That must be the weight I'm meant to be. I'm happy with that.
The change today was no more good fruit, but 2 bad fruits instead. I had a banana with my rye bread this morning and it was so yummy! It was almost a dessert after my egg, tomato and cucumber. I'll definitely do that again. And so satisfying!

I feel so guilty. Not anything to do with the diet, but because I just don't have the time and energy to get around to the diaries at the moment. I'm really really sorry everyone. Just know I do read them and I'm cheering you all on!

Thank you so much for stopping by Maya, AJ, Louise and Jo and anyone else reading this. I don't know what I would do without all your support! It always makes me smile to read your posts.
Lol Jo, closing my eyes and think of the money! Makes me think of 'close your eyes and think of England'

Take care everyone! Big hugs all around!

Mette, you are going so well, glad to hear you are enjoying refeed. Can't wait to get to that, but have a long way to go yet (in my head as well as my body). You go girl - you're terrific!

Cheers - Kay.

DAY 12
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 65.4kg
Total change: - 0kg

Ow ow ow ow! There's something that my body isn't liking today! I have a feeling it's the bananas. Was up 600 grams this morning, and like yesterday I had a banana as part of my breakfast. I thought it was ok, because I didn't have problems yesterday. But I've had tummy pains and felt bloated since mid-morning So I'll leave the bananas alone for a bit and see how I go.

I had a very nice dinner though. Today I got to add new protein, so I made the goulash from the Cohens cook book with beef and pork. Very very very yummy! It's an easy way to incorporate a small amount of new protein.

Thank you so much for stopping by Kay and Liddie! Hope that the guardians of the scales are kind to you!

I think it's time for bed. Take good care of yourselves, everyone! Big hugs all round!

Sounds like the ninjananas were stabbing you in the tummy. You are right, probably best to avoid them for the time being.

Mixing proteins and you weight is steady, yipppeeeeeeee.

Take care and be good

Jo

Hi Mette! thought i'd take a cruise thru refeed land, see what its like you are going so fantastic! I hope I can stay as positive as you when I get there.

I feel for you doing the whole commute thing - I had to travel from newcastle to sydney for my job (a long time ago) on the train every day and it sucked. You just feel like all you do is sleep, work and sit on the train! At least you know its not forever, that's some consolation. Not much I know but still!

Certainly seems there's something that your stomach (and the rest of you) doesn't like, Mette. Maybe take a break from the bananas and try again in a few days. Sometimes it seems we have an early reaction, then it might disappear after eating it a few times.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Wow, I can't wait to taste a banana again!!! I am sooo sorry you had a bad reaction... Can you get a fig? I LOVE figs... last time on the refeed I rather had figs, cuz they were fresh from the farmers nextdoor and I was in tears biting in the first one...as I haven't had those croatian figs in years !!!! (always away in the summer)...
I forgot what else was a choice in the "bad" fruits... strawberries?

Maybe banana intself wouldnt be a problem, but combination with something?

Anyway, ENJOY every day of refeed, it's getting bigger and bigger!!!!

Are you adding protein and carbs equally to the meals or as it comes?
How many meals do you have?
You planning on having 3 main meals later on maintnence?
Do you have enough questions?

DAY 13
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 65.6kg
Total change: +0.2kg

Up another 200 grams today. And tummy still not quite happy. Feeling a bit better this evening. I have a feeling that you are right, Maya, that it's not just the bananas that I reacted to, but a combination of lack of sleep, stress and the new foods. And I think that's what's caused the weight gain too.
I can't seem to switch my brain off at the moment. It keeps churning about all the things we have to get done before I leave the country and keeps ending up bumping against the awful thought that they won't grant the partner visa. It's so easy to tell myself that there's no use in worrying, that things will work out ok and that we'll burn that bridge when we get to it (or something to that effect). Actually doing it isn't quite that simple. Oh well, things have a way of working out the way they are supposed to, so I will keep the faith - although I do reserve the right to whinge a bit

There was a significant increase in my old veg today, and my dinner sure did feel huge! Although that could also have been my upset tummy that thought that it was huge.

Honeybuns, Vee, Jo, Tiina, AJ, Aslan, Maya and DD, thank you so much for your posts and your support! I appreciate it more than I can say.

DD, don't apologise. Trust me, I had a big giggle about Jo's ninjananas too!

Maya, beautiful lady, so many questions! You're so cute! Trust me, I'm enjoying! I spread the increases out over all three meals, and that seems to work. And yes, I plan to eat 3 meals a day on maintenance. The good doctor has not steered me wrong yet, so I'll follow the main guidelines!

Jo, as always, thank you for putting a smile on my face, pretty lady!

Tiina, you're right, it is a big consolation to know that it's only for a short period of time that I have to do the commute! Only 4 more weeks!

AJ, once I get a bit further along, I'll try the bananas again. I don't think they're the only reason for the upset tummy, but I'll give bananas a go again in a few days.

Honeybuns, Vee and Aslan, thank you for your support! I am really enjoying refeed, and it won't be long till you are too!

Time for a shower and bed, I think! That should make it all better.
Big hugs all around!

Hope you feel back to 100% soon!

I'm keeping everything crossed that all goes well with travel plans and preparations and well, the visa thing, we will just have to leave that in the higher power's hands!! But sending heaps of good thoughts that it all goes in your favour!!

It's great to hear that the food is satisfying you and that you are getting heaps to eat. Man, I can't wait for that!

Hope you get lots of rest. Remember, meditation when you go to bed... it helps you fall asleep and stay asleep!!

Mette, I add weight with any stress, including simply doing something that's out of my normal routine. You're having plenty of stress at the moment, so that might account for the weight gain. The tummy upset might be a food reaction, or something else entirely. I hope things settle down for you quickly.

DAY 14
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 65.6kg
Total change: +0.2kg

Oh oh oh oh! I'm in heaven! I got to add new veg today. And rice, but that's not as important. It was all about the broccoli! I cooked my mince - pork and beef - with some paprica and garlic granules, boiled some rice and steamed some asparagus and broccoli. And it was all cooked to perfection and the broccoli was DEVINE! I missed broccoli so much! I don't care if my body has a reaction to it later on, it will have been worth it!

Weight was unchanged today. I'm going to keep an eye on it. Hopefully it will go back down. My tummy is better, though. Occasional cramps today, like getting over a tummy bug. But all in all, feeling good. And it's the weekend, so I get to spend quality time with my boy!

Thank you so much for stopping by AJ, Vee and Kay! I really appreciate it!

Hope everyone has an absolutely wonderful weekend! Big hugs to you all!

Oh Mette

I am so jealous, I want some broccoli toooooooooooooooooooooooo. I would happily have taken the rice too if I could have a little soy sauce to go with it.

I know its hard not to stress honey but all WILL be fine. How could anyone resist your sweet little face??

Chin up
