Hi AJ,

You are going great. You're a lucky lady.....with 8 crispbreads and 3 fruits. My plan has me having 5 crispbreads and 2 fruits. Just shows all the plans are not the same.

Have a good day.

Interesting comment. I read your post just now after updating my dairy entry. We both hit on the same thing re: all the crispbreads. I also came to the same conclusion to cut some out (boy are we gonna make some people mad! )

If you are going to be like me and a few other and be a daily weigher, you might want to invest in a new set of scales. Otherwise you may not be able to figure out what slows down the process (like possibly cheese) or speed it up. (even in 100 gram increments). If you have adjusted on the food intake I'd say you will be in for a good run now.

Day 3, Week 2

Still the same as yesterday, but the scales almost stopped on the next increment below. They're 200 gm increments so I've probably lost 100 gm or so. Mostly, they seem to be accurate, just sometimes vary. Maybe it's the way I stand on them. They're more reliable than any I've had before, so I'll stay with them for a while.

Maybe we can auction off our crispbread allowances SMS -- "What am I bid for an 8 crispbread allowance?" I've started eating mine with my meals, i.e. the food piled on them. The crispness makes a lot of food more interesting. It's the between meals ones that I'm having more trouble with, plus the fruit. I'd sooner eat the fruit, and I'm trying not to eat them at the same time.

I changed into a new blouse to go out earlier. A few days it was snug on me. Today it's loose! I'm feeling so pleased. I keep pinching it in at the side just to see the difference.

Ohh lucky you. Yeah I know of it. I'm from Geelong originally (well as a teen) and my hubby is too. My parents and a brother and in laws are in Lara and Hubby has a brother in Clifton Springs. Very familiar with it all. Had a scotchmans' Hill Pinot Noir yesterday. Oh yum. I'd love to do a tour of the Bellarine wines. we went to Scotchmans last year for a day on the green but as I was on Cohens then I didn't imbibe. .

Kilgour has one of the best chefs in the area if you're down this way and looking for somewhere to eat. I'm a friend of the owner, enjoy helping out down there, and am paid in meals, wine and parties At least I was

Down another 200 gm. I'm now just over 10% of the way. Pity the next 90% won't fall away as quickly. I can definitely notice the difference when I put on a top/blouse.

Hi AJ

you are going great - well done. I am finding that the cms of my waist and hips are putting up the most resistance which is a bit frustrating, but its gradually moving. Finally my pants are starting to get baggy - yay! It will all come off eventually - hang in there as it took me to week 4 before it started to show in my clothes. It was weird, my fat bits (belly) went soft - this was a sign of it getting ready to move so look out for that.

Cheers
Irene

Well done Annabelle,
You are lucky to have 8 cripsbreads and 3 fruits (I only have 5 and 2 respectively so cannot eat them with my meals as I need to save them for between meals. But you know what I discovered is delicious? Putting sliced mango on the Premium crackers (tastes like an illegal dessert - a mango slice - yum)
Have a great week.

Day5, Week 2

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes. It helps so much to have all of you along with me on this journey.

I've had another good day. After a fairly flat few days, I'm down 400 gm today. I'm working at the winery today. After last Tuesday, my weight was up on Wednesday (retained fluid). I woke this morning to the smell of fresh baked bread (my husband made it overnight in the bread machine) and didn't feel any desire to have some. Interesting how the desire to have some of the things I loved (wine, hot bread) seems to have gone, not that I won't want to have them again sometimes when I've achieved my goal.

I agree, FotoHijinx, it's frustrating that the biggest areas are the slowest to move. I suppose it's not surprising, that's where it goes on first too. I hope to notice some softening soon.

Thanks for the mango and biscuit tip, kathy. At the moment I'm eating only rice cakes, as I suspect I have an allergy to wheat. They taste like styrene! I'll try mango with the rice cakes today, looking forward to that. I was having a mild pain in the area of my stomach, didn't have it at all yesterday after a couple of days on rice cakes. Tomorrow I'll add back a Ryevita and see what happens with that. If I don't have a reaction, I'll then try the wheat-based crispbreads.

Have a great day, everyone.

AJ

Day 6, Week 2

Up 400 gm on yesterday, but I know it's fluid retention after another long, busy day at the winery. Last Wednesday I was up 600 gm. Should be back to normal by tomorrow. Survived the day quite well. I tasted and spat the new rosé. I did look with regret at the untouched figs stuffed with mascapone and wrapped in proscuitto left on someone's plate. Apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my cheese and rice cake sandwich and crisp salad lunch. Kathy, I found that sliced mango between the rice cakes turns them into a treat. I tried a rice cake and peach sandwich too, but the mango is nicest. Thanks for the tip.

400 gm gone today since Tuesday (1kg from yesterday, but Wednesday seems like it's going to be a weekly aberration). I'm now into double digits. Invited to a barbecue with neighbours tomorrow night, not sure if I'm ready for that yet.
