You'll love Mamma Mia, Katie! It's hilarious!

I know the feeling of waiting for the 70s. You'll get there. Have plenty of water and plenty of rest, it will happen I hope to be finished by Christmas too, but if I'm not. I'll have Christmas later. Don't want to risk deviating. Besides, pressies are cheaper in January anyway

Hope you're having a great week, Katie!

Hi Katie,

It works for me when I click on it - perhaps you used a different password for this one???? Anyway, over to you on that ....

Still, it is now in your signature, so will appear with every post. If you need to change it (including a new password), go with this:-
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpos...45&postcount=3

And remember, I CAN'T change it if it is posted in a thread - but, if it is in your signature, I CAN fix it !!!

Good luck remembering that password And hey, if you "sort of get it right" in your signature, but not quite working, let me know and I'll fix it for you. THEN you can move on, and just enjoy the forum....

Default 9th week done and dusted

Hi

Yay, yippee, yahoo

I am now a 70's Chick.....

Ok this the end of week 9. Had a bit of a plateau happening during the week but can now happily report a loss of 1kg total. Bringing me to 79.6kg and a loss of 2.25" loss (5.5 cm).

Had the Thai Beef salad for tea tonite. Made it for the family and laughed so hard at my youngest son's reaction. Anything with a bit of flavour and he carries on (this one had more than a little bite ) So you can imagine his face.

Ok a 100% cohen week again.

Not much else to report

Happy losing all

Katie

Hiya Koh

Yup gotta say the Thai Beef was yummy. Will sure to become a favourite of mine (but not my babys) muhahahaah

Just wanted to say a quick thx for helping with the ticker and showing me the way to Plateau Island. Did post in the other thread but not sure if it worked or not. Net dropped out as I hit submit. Ya was right, was a hilarious read. Only FJ could have everyone in fits during a "bad" time.

And OMG size 8 by xmas . Could I be so lucky. I know I will be near the end at xmas time, but wow, those numbers sure buzz through the brain. Guess what hubby would be buying me for xmas this year in size 8 . I wont be posting pics of it Im sure

ok take care all

Default woohooo size 14

Hi

Thx for your kind words LiM. Was a joyest moment hitting the 70's. Now I can't wait till I hit the 60's. Patience is not my virtue

Well had to make a log of this one today. Today I went clothes shopping and yahoo, yipee, I'm in a size 14. Jeans a bit tight, but can do up when standing and still breathe. OMG and I can even sit in them I even fit in a size 14 shirt. Never did I ever think the puppies would shrink to fit in, but they did, they did. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to see 14 again. I even had my doubts about this diet, but just reading the success stories on this forum convinced me to a least give it a try. Now I'm just blown away at how fast and effective this cohen journey is. I was even telling the shop assistant about it, and she thinks it would be too hard, and too long. So I told her NOOOO WAY. once ya see the weight coming off, that is incentive enough to keep going.

How COOL is this diet ??!!!???

******WARNING - DM to myself*****
Ok this part is to remind me of how good it's been for the past few days. So it may get a bit heavy, I apologise in advance.

Last week was a bit of a downer. The 80.0 came so quickly, and then I sat on it for 4 days. The feeling was terrible but I thought "that's just my body shrinking in cm's instead. But no I lost only a few cms. So being disheartened, I re-read my plan to see if I was somehow D'ing. But No, no answer came from there. So I searched high n low for FJ's plateau island to see how she felt. That was a good laugh. But eventually the weight started to fall again. It went up 200gm, to 80.2 then hit 79.6 overnite. Back up to 79.8 (at least I was still in the 70's I thought) then this morn it hit 79.2. It was stress I'm sure that made me hold onto the weight. Not sure what stress, I've been under a lot worse than this during the diet. But anyways, hubby being the wonderful guy he is (really lucky to have him but don't tell him that). Was as supportive and loving as ever. I was lucky to have him with me for the whole 4 days, he kept me grounded and focused on other things

So during the brief plateau ( felt like forever at the time) I spent a lot of time in here reading up on diaries, and tips, holding onto the faith that it will start again. Amazing how quickly you can get doubts, well at least I can. So as a gentle reminder to myself so next time this happens I won't get so down

HAVE FAITH, IT WILL BEGIN AGAIN!!!!

Im going to chalk this up as all part of the journey. I read somewhere to enjoy beinging where your at. Life is happening as we are planning a life!

Ok enough D&M

Happy losing folks

Katie

Hi Katie,

One thing heard over and over is "a slowdown when meeting an old weight level" e.g. If you'd been 80 Kgs ~ for some years in the past, or, if 80 Kgs was the place where previous weight-loss attempts would stop, then these "resistance levels" seem to need a bit more convincing !!!

If this WAS the case with you, it is now HISTORY If not, well, no matter, you held on and stared it down - so now, on you can go.

Onya Katie - you are rocking,

And yeah, how cool is it indeed?

Hey Katie, congrats on reaching the 70s! That's wonderful!

I might print out that post of yours and read it every time the losses seem slow or I have problems getting motivated. You really are an inspiration!

Hi all

Thx for dropping by Koh(you deserve your own cheersquad), Mette, and Louise.

Koh I did read that somewhere. I think I was, but it was sooooo long ago, the old memory is fading. And ya right (once again) it's history so now for the fast slide down again.

Really Glad I could be of some help Mette. This forum is teaming with inspirations at every corner. And by the looks of it, it won't be long till you're in the 70's too. Best feeling in the world changing decades.

Louise, congrats on hitting 70's & thx for that little tip. That didn't pass my mind. But now I'll be keeping that for next time. I don't think I am the worlds best measurer. But since the clothes are shrinking, that's proof enough for me

Well yesterday was a real boost. Had to go into work early and ran into a lot of day shifters that I worked with for a long time. Hadn't seen these girls for a good 6 months. Well and truly prior pre-cohens.

Well, the response was amazing. The typical OMG have you lost weight?? And the stock standard reply, yep. One lady told me of her son doing another diet (won't mention names) and he has lost 20kg. But she's concerned because now he is near the end, she is worried the usual will happen and the weight will pile on. So she's drilling me about the Cohens. I said that this diet cares, and at the end you retrain your body to new foods slowly and just from reading a lot of refeed diaries etc IT WORKS!!! thats good enough for me. Hope she looks into it.

Another nurse asked me if I was losing weight deliberately. Well hell yeah. If I lost this much in this little time without trying, I think I would be a pincushion from tests. Perhaps that came from that I'm still wearing my fat uniform. I can't afford to keep updating my uniform as it is quite expensive to buy. And ya can't just have one set. So I've been putting it off till I get a lot closer to goal. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and spend the dough.

MMm enough about work . Had a good loss in past few days and am now sitting on 78.5 kg. Haven't measured yet. That can wait till Saturday.

Since it's such a nice day I might go and do some washing. In between reading diaries.

Take care all

Katie

Default week 10 done

Hi

Well that's week 10 over.

Another slow week of losing only 1.1kg and 1.25" loss. Im still sitting on the 78.5kg. I reached that earlier this week, then another small plateau. Not sure why this is happening but it's been my MO for the past 3 weeks. Have been wondering if you can drink TOO much fluid on this diet. I will drink approx 3L H20 per day, approx 4 cups of tea (vy big cups approx 500ml each) maybe a can of sprite or 2. I try not to drink too much fizzy.

I decided this morn on keeping a FBC and see if I/P = O/P. Also a food chart. Tho I am 100% DF. Have been ever since the sausage roll/pie scare. So that is why I can't work out why my rate has dropped.

Well it will all come out in the wash.

Take care all

Katie

I'm rather late finding out about it, Katie, but congratulations on the 70s.

I think that there's a bit of stess while waiting to reach milestones and that can slow you up a bit -- then you drop through as you found.

Have a look at my daily chart here: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpos...5&postcount=22. My rate of loss slowed up after a few weeks, but overall has remained pretty steady. The little plateaus and rises really don't make any difference.

My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

And, yeah, I've read it MANY times - 1 litre of water for every 25Kg bodyweight. And anything but "pure water" doesn't count... But hey, I'm a practical person who has never done Cohens, so I'd be thinking, if you are having 3 litres AND 4 x 500ml of tea (plus the sprite) maybe you ARE overdoing the liquids (???)

Always happy to learn from others though (what do I know really - I just read - and recall - a lot of good info) so everyone, tell me, and Katie, is she drinking TOO much?

Really though, 1.1Kg is not that shabby in the scheme of things, Katie - but if we can help make it better, that's what we're here for,

Koh

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by AJ, Koh and TNV.

Yes it did feel good TNV. Even better, Im feeling so much better health wise.

Koh, I have taken steps to reduce my fluid intake. Now restrict myself to 2.5 L H20. Am using smaller tea cups. Love my tea. Only 3 cans of sprite a week. Here's hoping that works.

AJ, I do like that chart you have produced. It speaks volumes on how our body loses weight. Congrats too on reaching Refeed.

Well thought I would do a log while I'm waiting for my 2hrs to pass. Then I can go to bed.

Ok since reading some tips etc. I have swapped all my meals around and am facing up to Beef meals in the am. Meal 3 @ lunch and Meal 1 for tea. Since starting that, and reducing my fluid, I have lost a cool 1.0kg since Saturday
Not only that have changed my vitamins & chromium. Taking 1 of each AM then another lot mid arvo, that's to try and stave off the dizzyness I have been feeling. Here's hoping that I haven't been flushing my electrolytes down the loo. It seemed to work tonite at work. None of those horrible spells. Fingers crossed.

Other than that, not much to report. Only that Broken Hill was hit by the biggest dirtiest storm this century. Have never seen it night time at 2pm before. We had huge rain which was just raining mud from start to finish. Unfortunately my rain water tank caught it all, now I have to buy my water for a bit. Luckily I'm cutting back for now.

Happy losing all

Katie

Wauw! That's an excellent loss!
I'm afraid I couldn't face up to a beef meal in the morning though. But it sure does look like it's working for you! Stay strong and keep up the great work, pretty lady!
