Hi Sakitsune,
Firstly welcome to the forum and to the cohen family you will find this forum a wealth of knowledge
As for your question about carrot & soy read your program whatever is not listed is NOT ALLOWED so if you don't
see it on your program don't eat/drink it you will learn to live without these things as soon as the scales start to drop

Read a few of the diarys and the tips thread heaps of info anyway good luck and I will watch for your diary

Welcome, Sakisune. You've come to the right place for support through your journey.

Carrots are not allowed. Tofu is allowed, no other soy products. As the others have said, if it's not listed, it's not allowed.

Good luck with your start this weekend, and looking forward to reading your diary.

Kyl6, Luce & Sakitsune,

Welcome aboard the ark. We got lots of different critters on this here boat but each and every one of us has something in common. We started this program FAT! Some moreso some less so but all are here with the same purpose. To gain and impart knowledge and support to everybody else who is here as well as ourselves. This board will help you realize the "NewYou".

You have a question? There are no stupid questions. Ask. It may keep you from having a major deviation over the course of the miraculous program. You have something to contribute? All is welcome as it may well be the answer the next reader is looking for. Join in but be warned about one thing......

This board can be habit forming!

The old Stallion,

SMS

Default Just a hello

Just wanted to say hello...
i havnt started on cohen's yet but am hoping to get things rolling very soon. I was sceptical as im sure many chronic dieters are when reading the success stories and looking at the befor and after photo's...i mean how many "great diet" web sites are full of "enhanced" photos and too good to be true testimonials.
Finding this forum has helped me in my decision...here are real ppl with real stories. I truly believe that i have found the answer to my life long battle. I weighed in at 120kg last week at my doctors..my blood pressure was high and at 42 am feeling like 62 but things are about to change!!!

THANK YOU.

Default Just the beginning

I am starting the program in the morning.
I am looking forward to it, and yet I am anxious.
Will I stick to it?
Or will I fail again?
Will I / Won't I and so it goes on.
There don't seem to be too many new posts on the New Members welcome bit - I guess everyone is too busy!
Just want to say thanks to the ladies at the Clinic, they have been a wealth of information and support thus far -
so, here goes....... the weight ...... going, going, ....... it will be gone!
What a journey........

Welcome, Ingeborg. Start a diary in the diaries thread and people will find you more easily.

I had the same thoughts as you when I started. I read diaries and looked at photos on this forum, and psyched myself up to succeed. I now know I will succeed, the only question is how long it will take.

Default HI

Hi everyone, my name is Dee and Im starting the programme for the 2nd time. I started cohens last year and was doing really well until just before Christmas when I fell off the bandwagon BIGTIME. Sadly I didnt finish off correctly and I want to get as close to my goal weight as possible, as I dont think that I have ever been 64kgs in my life except when I was in my early teens. The reason I am starting again is because I orginally lost 40kgs on the programme, my starting weight was 117kgs and got down to 77kgs, which I was ecstatic about, but have been complacent and slack (no other excuse im afraid) with Christmas, holidays and a hectic new year I have added 15kgs back on. I am determined this time to finish off this programme and be the skinny, confident me I know I can be.
Im hoping you guys can give me some moral support and help me through the tough times ahead. Thanks in advance.
Cheers Dee.

Welcome, ShyGal and Angel. Now you just need to start your own diaries in the Diaries board, and get yourselves tickers, and you will get all the support and encouragement you want and need.

Good luck with your journeys to the new you.

Hi sexygal! Glad to hear you're about to start the program - it's a decision you won't regret. Fruit can be eaten between meals or with meals - it's entirely up to you (please correct me if I'm wrong anyone!). I usually have two apples a day - I have half with my yoghurt for breakfast, half for morning tea, half for afternoon tea, and half after dinner. Sometimes I'll substitute a half with kiwifruit or some other fruit.

Yes, I agree with SassyK. There is one restriction I think, and that is that you can eat only one piece of fruit at a time (can be a mix, but equivalent to one piece). Apart from that, any time you want. Also, nothing at all within 2 hours of going to sleep.

Greetings all. I've just signed up for the Cohen's program, done the blood test and expect to get the program details within the next week or so.

I've a lot of weight to lose and it's a bit daunting, but at the same time I'm relishing the challenge. It's so great that there is this community to turn to for support and advice. I look forward to reading all your success stories and hope I'll be able to supply you with mine.

Welcome, Chaotic. Yes, it's definitely achievable. Have you found Faithy's photos and diary? She lost about the same as you have to lose in just twelve months. At times it seems difficult, but the forum will help you through those. Mostly, it just becomes a way of life. Most important is not to deviate.

Start your diary and get yourself a ticker, and you'll find plenty of support and encouragement as you progress on your journey.
