Greetings

OK, today is the beginning of Week 5, I had my blood test this morning (and that other icky test).

Vampire witch stabbed me and stole my blood and the mean doctor told me I was fat (while ferreting about between my thighs), charming. Changed my contraceptive pill to one for women over 40 and a bit overweight. Anyone want to join me in a not so silent scream?????

The scales were down 1kg this morning but I have been on the loo ever since (retained water and nervous pooing I expect) so all is well .

So its 7kg and a loss of 28cm for the first month. Hoorah for me

Anyway so I told the mean doctor that I was doing Cohens, she told me she didn't like it and that it was faddy. And apparently it just won't work in the long term. I think I need a new doctor. How can a diet that makes you eat fresh fruit and veg and lean meat not be good for you??? Stupid stupid woman.

I rang my clinic this morning and I was told that I am right on track and should be doing my re-feed early in the new year if all goes well. I can wait that long, no probs. As for my little D, the clinic said I was better off sleeping if that is what my body is telling me to do. Yippee, no more toothpicks (to keep my eyes open at night).

Luv 2 u all

J

Oh! Oh! Can I let my viking heritage come out now?? Can I kick that doctor!!? Stupid git! I have an idea! When you're all slim, you go in and smack her on the head with a rolled-up newspaper, kick her in the shin and say 'that's for calling me fat, and look at me now!' And then, 6 months later, you go back in there, do the same thing again and say 'that's for being a stupid cow and saying Cohens doesn't work!'
I'll be there as a cheer squad!

Hi SBear

You make me laugh.......

What an unpleasant cow that doctor of yours is. She obviously needs to get laid or something. We won't let her spoil our fun.

Congrats on the 7 and the cm, it is hard to believe a month has past so fast?? Where does the time go.

Anyhoo, you are a star!

Greetings all

I had another one of those dreams last night, probably from stressing a little about the holiday. I was just sooooo bad . I actually woke up thinking that I had blown it, big time. Just in my nutty little brain

My son is off sick today, just a bug, but I have to get him healthy before this Sunday, arrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh, just what I needed. I have just got him settled down with a DVD and some bikkies so he will be OK for a little while.

Mette - feel free to Viking her, did I mention that she is fat, fat, fat??? The more I think about what happened the more I have gone right off her. Maybe in 2 years I won't shower for a week and then go!!! That would teach her . My brain guy is great though, lucky me.

I tried one of the mango chicken recipies the other night, I was moaning in pure delight (can't get that from chocolate anymore). In fact I have had it twice now, yummo. I went to buy some mangoes today and Woolies didn't have any, bummer. The fruit shop next door had some but they were nasty. I will try another shop when I don't have a little sicky in tow.

So much to do before the weekend, better fly

Catchya

Oh how I know those dreams! I had even odder ones last night though... Note to self: don't watch The Prestige right before bedtime!

I'm with Pen: get a new doctor!

Hope your son feels better soon! There seems to be a lot of flu stuff going around... Have a great week, chicky!

7kgs in your first month - thats great!! Ignore that Dr - how would she know if it is just a fad, does she even know what it is! I saw my Dr on Friday, told her what I was doing and she just told me that I looked great and my bloods were good! I spend the majority of my days with Drs and one of them has a newspaper article on her door for her patients to read that says that research show that people who cut their carbs lose more weight than other sorts of diet - and she just lost a lot doing just that! Keep up the great work

Greetings

Here is what I think about my soon-to-be-ex doctor . Thanks girls for your sweet thoughts on the matter. When I went to her ages ago because I started gaining weight and couldn't get it off again she told me to eat less but that I was only 9kgs overweight so it was nothing to stress about. That 9 turned in 35 because she couldn't/wouldn't help. COW!!!!!

The boy child is still off school again but will be going back tomorrow. .

I still haven't packed and I seriously need to look at what I have to pack. It all has to be summer clothes and I am not sure what I have that fits. Hopefully I can fill in the missing necessities when I go to work on Friday. The joy of Lifeline, buy it cheap then hand it back as I shrink, God I love my job. I spent the other day unpacking summer dresses and spent way too much time saying "Oooooh that's pretty, if only I was a size 10". Give me another 4 months then watch out. We get so much designer stuff that it just isn't funny, so I will be slim and beautifully dressed in (not) expensive designer clothes. LIFE IS GOOD.

I went to the hairdresser today to get my natural highlights removed (you know......the grey ones) and now my hair is all curly. It is normally wavy but my girlie showed me how to make is all curls and no frizz. It is just so much shorter when it is curly, ringlety curls at that. I will have to wait and see what the hubby says when he gets home, knowing him he won't say anything.

I am ploughing through my list of "Do before we go" jobs and I seem to have almost forgotten all about the day to day stuff of Cohens. It all just seems natural now, no fuss, no bother, just life. Maybe on Thursday my new laid-back too busy to stress attitude will show me a number that I will truly appreciate. Fingers crossed.

I will update on Thursday

Catchya

I'm sure the scales will reflect the new lifestyle, Snugglebear! It's great when it becomes natural! I hope you find some clothes too. I like that you can get them at your work and then give them back when they don't fit anymore!

Default Do not read if you offend easily!!!

Greetings,

The scales were not overly kind yesterday, down 1kg, which is fine, but now I know why.

TOM came a week early (just before bedtime) and is heavier than it has ever been. I am on the pill so I was puzzled how it could come early. I read the trusty forums on the subject and to my relief found that it is quite normal (annoying but normal). I am going away in 2 days and I simply don't need this!!! And to make matters worse it was totally painless and no warning, so you guessed it, I made a huge mess. If that isn't bad enough I woke up this morning in a puddle. I am sorry for the graphic nature of this but I was shocked, in fact still am. If it keeps up like this I will need a transfusion about 2pm . I have to go to work today too. I guess it is going to be a wear-black day.

I am still not packed and ready to go but I am working on it. I found some clothes in my cupboard that fit but I will have a little look at work today just in case there is a little something that I need.

Will try to catch up again before I leave (can you type with an IV?)

Keep up the good work everyone

J

Aw darling! That's not a nice start to the day! I'm sure you won't need a transfusion. You might need some extra vitamins though, to make sure you keep your iron levels up. Mine have a habit of dropping around TOM. We don't want you to be all dizzy and pass out. Hopefully that it's heavy means that it will finish quickly so you don't have to worry about it on your trip away?

Take good care of yourself. I hope you find some nice stuff at work to take with you on your trip!

Hey Snugglebear,

Awww you poor thing. That is what happened to me the first TOM after I started Cohens, no signs it was coming at all and early to boot - I was shocked as well. Then I thought hey this is alright hope the no pain thing continues but next month I was late and it was back to normal, must just be our bodies getting used to the new diet .

Hope you feel better soon.

Suzie

Default oh no!

Hi S BEar

Yes, I'll say this programme really messes up ones period routine. Everything is different.

I waited forever and could barely walk when TOM pitched. The plateau was just the cherry on the cake (not my cherry or my cake).

I also use to treat myself to nice sweet thing in the past and now there is not really anything I can eat to make this time of the month feel bearable.

Anywhoo enough complaining in your diary. Hope you get some cool things and enjoy the trip!!!

Take care
H

Greetings

The ickyness stopped the next morning, so weird. I still don't know what is going on. So I shall travel prepared for the worst, hoping for the best.

You are all so sweet for caring and sympathising, thanks all

We are flying out tomorrow night and I still haven't packed. I have got the child sorted out though, and the hubby packs his own stuff.

I didn't get a single thing at work yesterday. I think I was still shaken by what had happened and trying on clothes just didn't appeal, but I have enough and lets face it I am planning on buying stuff over there (lots of stuff, in varying sizes ).

I guess I should go and get some stuff organized, the hubby is off at his mothers and when he gets back we have to take the dog to his puppy-sitter. Then we have to clean the house. Sometime we have to go to the shops because the boy-child doesn't have any swimmers or boardies (he grew.....again).

Love you all and will catch up around the 26th (kisses all around)

J
