Thumbs up

Well last assignment for this course has now been submitted... so it's a big sigh of relief! Only one more lecture left too.....

I've been having the yoghurt for dinner for the past two days, and I'm loving it. It's a really yummy way to end the day, as I have it with mango pureed. It tastes more like dessert than dinner, so it's been great for my sweet tooth.

So, now that I've reached my 40kg goal, it's time to find a cleaner and organise one to come and help out regularly. Oh it's going to be so good!

I still can't get my head around the fact that I've shed 40kgs!
I soooo remember thinking at the beginning of this journey that I had such a long way to go and that getting to goal was so far out of reach..... and yet here I am, with only 16 more kgs to shed. I tell ya, if I can do this, anyone can.
Me, who was master at continually sabotaging myself, and who has managed to turn this around. I've just learnt so much on this journey, and no, I was not perfect, I fell down a couple of times, but the learning from it was so invaluable and is what has given me the strength and endurance to keep going.

I was paid a wonderful compliment today. I met up with a friend who I had said to that I was going to shed my excess weight, and she is the friend who said to me that I was not my weight! (Spoke about this in my diary about a couple of months into the program). Anyway, she said that when she came to meet me, my whole profile and carriage was so totally different than when she saw me at the time of saying I was doing the program. She said she was really impressed because most people are just talk, but I actually did what I said I was going to do. She told me that she was really impressed with what Ihad done. To me it was just doing what I had to do for me. It was nice hearing her say those things, tho!

Gee, this has turned into a ramble. Guess it's cause I haven't written much in my diary over the last few days, what with being so busy etc.

Thanks for all your support and for celebrating my milestones with me!
Honeybuns, JennyC, Ellabelle and Mette!
Hope you are all having a good week!

Vee

You must be so relieved at having handed in the last assignment! I still have quite a few to go, but the pile is getting smaller, at least.

You've really done so well, doing Cohens, working and studying. I really admire you, pretty lady. 40 kilos... That's 80 tubs of butter! You're the awesome!

Crackers anyone?

I'm so so pleased for you, Vee. 40kg is an amazing achievement; in a way, a major life changing moment was had today and I hope you soaked it all in and enjoyed every bit of it.

Not many people can achieve what you've done. And it's all due to your tenacity, determination and belief that you are worth it! And you are. I'm so happy for you.

This morning I woke up tired, I guess its because now all the rush and stress of getting assignment done is over, so I can 'relax' and it tends to catch up with me. Got a shocker of a headache again today that just won't budge!

The scales were good to me, between 100 and 200g drop, so I'll take it as 100 and see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for your support and great words of encouragement Francesca, Shell and Tara! Yes, I am proud of what I have achieved so far, and I'm proud of how I've grown through this experience. It great to have seen others like you, Shell, who have also done it and who are still around to offer encouragement and support to us others. I had to smile, cause I realised that to new people starting, I must seem like a veteran on this program, but I have to admit, I still feel new, especially when battling my own demons. So thanks Tara, your words are lovely, and I've been glad to have helped!
Francesca, on this program, I think there are many who achieved this, and it is wonderful to see. Everyone who does this for themselves and completes it and sees it through to the end, is a winner in my eyes.

Vee

Funny... I thought you were a veteran when I started 11 weeks ago... You've always been so knowledgable and supportive, so I think that's why people think you're one of the 'old hands', so to speak. I'm definitely glad you're here!

Hi Vee

Just a quick pop by for me. Really busy today at work!

Sorry to hear about your headache! Hope it wasn't because of too much partying yesterday due to the "down 40" celebrations

Hang in there, pretty lady. I hope the headache passes soon and that you'll feel better soon. Great news on the continued losses!

Queen Vee

OMG well done on the 40kg. And for the distinctions on your assignments. Almost makes them worth doing to get that kind of mark

You're just cruising along wonderfully and an inspiration to us all.

Happy losing

Katie

Mmmm I seem to have the worst headaches of late. Just getting through each day is a huge effort!
Even now, at work, in my lunch hour, still struggling with sore head even after drugs. Think it must be the after-stress event of assignments etc, but if it does not let up soon, I'll be getting it checked out by a doc.

Not too much exciting happening here for the rest, weight is pretty much the same since yesterday, had my losses earlier in the week, so not expecting much more movement before weigh in day of Friday.

Keep on dropping that weight, everyone!
Oh yeah, thanks to all of you who dropped by and left such great messages! It's enough to make a girl feel really good!

Cya

I don't like the sound of those headaches, Vee. I think you should get it checked out by a doctor. Are you getting enough sleep? And water and stuff? I hate when I can't do anything to help...

I agree with Mette, Vee - best to get those headaches checked out. I do hope it's just a tension thing and that they'll go away now that you've been getting more rest.

Health first, always!

Sending you healing wishes, pretty lady.

Hmmm....it's like when you are super busy Vee and you slow down and all of a sudden you get sick! Make sure you look after yourself won't you. You know, sleep and the whole nine yards.

40kg! What an amazing effort....

Hi Vee
just dropped by to say thanks for your supportive messages when i was sick, only to find out you are not feeling well yourself. look after yourself! If the doctor doesnt find anything maybe check out your neck/posture after all that study stress. I can get neck related headaches too.

Anyway - 40kg- congratulations!!! you are my hero
