Hi Roxy. I am starting on my program today. I am also here in PTA. I waited for three weeks before I could get my program. But I am very excited to start. You are such an inspiration to me. Hopefully I stay strong and loose quickly!

Dear Newloser

Welcome to the forum and to Cohens. This is the best decision you could have made. Do you have 19kg to lose? If so, you can definitaley do it in 3 months.

I waited 2 weeks for my program. At which clinic are you? I am at Monument Park. Don't get much support from them, actually I get all my support from this forum.

Good luck and start a diary so that I can follow your progress!!

You definitaley will. You sound very positive and determined. And what a motivation to be in all the photos with your baby. What kept me going whas the quick weight loss. You will already feel your clothes are looser in the first week. By the second week I was already getting people asking me if I have lost weight. Although the programme is very strict and restrictive, it is so worth it.

I lose weight very slowley and according to my clinic not fast enough. But I don't listen to her as there are a lot of people who only lose 1kg a week and some less, especially us ladies in their forties. I can't do more that I am doing. This forum has really helped.

Also, I don't know if you bought their vitamins but I found Centrum better. I also drink 1 x Slow Mag (which also helps for sweet cravings) and 1 x Chromium per day.

Can't wait for your diary and to you in your babies 1st birthday party photos!! Have a stunning Cohens day.

Hi Newloser

Go and read SassyK's diary from the beginning and look at her photos. She was a huge inspiration to me. Although she has gained weight now she is back and still such a inspiration.

Enjoy!!

Thanx Roxy, I will go and read her diary. I am taking their vitamins they actually help (I think). I have a diary I started it yesterday. I think it will really keep me motivated. Thanks for the support!

Hi Roxy,
I agree with you SassyK's first "new" post was a BIIG wakup call.
Especially for me. I'm only on day 8 right now, so it is still all happiness, as all is going so well, but you need little reminders like this, of how it can all go wrong, and how hard it must be to return. I must admit, I don't know if I would have the guts!!
I'll be up it JHB & PTA in mid August. Hope it is not yoo cold.
I grew up in Kempton Park, but have been here for 13 years, so I am not used to that cold any more.
I think you are doing sooooo well. Slow and steady is sometimes better.
You are so close to being a 70s girl. (Last time I was there is about 15 years ago)

Chat soon

Hi Sweetie

Yip, I think the first part of this programme is the easiest. It is when we get let out into the big wide world that things can go horribly wrong!! But we are all human and can just try our best.

It is really cold up here. I must say when I was weighing 106kg (my heaviest) I never feld the cold but now I am cold all the time and it is horrible. Luckily here is SA we only have about 3 months of cold weather. Can't imagine how people survive in places that drop to -10 or so. I think I would die!!!!!

I got such a shock this morning when I weighed myself. I am down 2.2kg since Saterday. I got on and off my scale several times and it stuck to the same weight. I even weighed my dogs and two packs of sugar to make sure it is correct and it was. I must say I have been feeling pretty funny since Sunday, headache, dizzy and tired. I know you are all thinking, what is she going on about, but I rarely lose more than 1kg a WEEK so understand my confusion and happiness at the same time. Has anyone else had such a sudden drop?

I have a days leave on Friday to prepare for the big party....can't wait ...wish I could have a few drinks but I will be a good little girl and sip on TAB and water!!!!!

Hope you all have a stunning Cohens week and stay strong!!

Tell me your secret!!!!!!! I want to lose 2.2 kilos not fair not fair not fair. I thought they quit makin Tab like a hundred years ago. I remember how nasty it was in the 70's before Diet Coke and everything else diet with apartame etc.

It is absolutely burning up over here, 35 or something and its only 11 in the morning. At the party are you guys going to like beat on tom tom drums and sacrafice virgins and roast hyenas on an open fire and wear bones in your hair and loin cloths? I mean on tv thats what they do in Africa.

Thanks my spanish friend, just thought I lost you to refeed land.

I honestly don't know what happened. Maybe my body decided enough is enough, I need more food so lose this damn weight quickly....wouldn't that be fantastic!!

No silly, no beating drums and sacrificing animals.....just a normal party for us....lots of friends and family, lots of food and drink, which I cannot have and a DJ for some nice music from the 80's and some Afrikaans music. If is survive I will post the photos next week. Do you also find when you go out and have a late night that you are absolutely exhausted? I always feel as if I have run a marathon or something. My whole body aches the next day and I just want to morph out in bed!! Must be because we are just eating enough food to keep us alive ......

Thanks nl, but as I said, have no idea how it happened but hope it keeps happening.

Haai Roxy,

Lol - sheesh chickie, 2.2kg's? That's awesome - it must be such a lekker feeling. Well done, am very proud of you. I totally get the marathon feeling - Geez, I went to bed around 1am, but got up late also, but have been feeling like I've been knocked down by a putco bus.

Also headachey, with pins and needles in my hands and feet. Going to bed as soon after supper as possible tonight.

Man - that ticker of your's is looking good!
Get a good night's sleep, and hopefully we will both feel better tomorrow.

Hi Nam

Gee, you go to bed late!! I am usually asleep by 21:00 but then I get up at 4:30 to miss all the traffic between Pretoria and Randburg.

Thanks, don't know where that sudden drop came from but I can actually see it on my stomach. This diet is soooo amazing. I felt and looked the same now for a few weeks and suddenly I can see a feel the weight loss again. I can't wait to be where our spanish friend is and be at refeed!! But I suppose patience is a virtue, of which I must admint, I don't have much.

I have a days leave tomorrow. Will chat again on Monday. May we all have a deviation free Cohens weekend. Enjoy everyone!!

Hello gorgeous,

Enjoy the day off....nice long weekend. Hey, dontcha have the party this weekend?
Enjoy looking like a hottie infront of everyone.

Einaaaaa! 04h30 is still night time, woman! Are you insane? I honestly don't know how you do it. Must say, traffic is pretty hectic for me too, I fall out of bed, take 3 or 4 steps, and then I'm at work. Lol.

I also can't wait to be where Carrieanne is at, but we'll get there...and yay that you can see it on your stomach....I can a bit too, the three rolls are smaller, but they're still there...but at least when i lie on the couch to watch tv, they don't spread out so much and lie next to me....yuck, that was gross.

Okay, welll have a fab weekend, and chat Monday.

Nam

Hi Roxy,
Congrats on the fantastic loss!!!
It is sooo nice. Can't believe you travel all the way to Westrand from PTA.
I am soooo glad we don't have traffic issues here. Oh wait, we do, peak hour is from 07h15 - 07h45.
I leave home at 7h25, and am at work at 7h55. Even though I only live 15km from work, school run turns it into 40km.
You must have a lekker party!!

Hi All

Well, I am officially at 70's girl, yeah!! Weighed in on Saturday at 79.9. I actually gained .2 and lost 2kg this week. Very funny and I don't know why. Maybe it was a water loss. Anyway I am not complaining as I have never lost 2kg in 1 week, so I am a happy chappy.

Gee Nam, you must be exhausted when you get to work, silly lady!! You are soooo lucky. The traffic up here is no joke but hey, I am used to it by now.

Thanks Sweetie, and yes we had a party this weekend and very pleased to report that I did not deviate once. Everyone tried to get me to drink but I stood my ground. When a person has come so far and you are so close to goal then deviating is just not an option....want to get finished with this diet already, and start eating a bit more food again...also can't wait for the 5 hours rule to fall away and off course to have a glass of wine.

Carrieanne the party was fab. We only got home at 2 on Sunday morning. I was absolutley exhausted yesterday and my legs were so sore and stiff from the dancing....they actually still are. I had to wear flat shoes today because the muscles are to sore.....oh dear, the pains of getting old!!

I have attached a few photos for all to see. Can you believe we did not take one full length photo of me with my sexy jeans on......I will have to get dressed again and take one.....silly blonde people!!

Hope you all have a stunning Cohens day.......got to runt to a meeting....chat later.
