Re-feed Day 11 of 19 days - 65.2 kg (down 200g)
Breakfast- Meal 1- Yogurt & Apple Sauce (allowance)
Lunch- Meal 2 - Grilled Cheese Sandwich - YUMMO (Mozzerela cheese, 2 slices of toast), Salmon (New Protein) & Zucchini (allowance & part extra veg)
Snack- Banana (new bad fruit) & Toast (1 slice of bread)
Dinner- Meal 3 - Steak & Spinach (allowance + extra protein & part extra veg)

I feel so sick right now. I couldn't finish my dinner...just too much food...and I am going to have to eat almost double this amount of protein towards the end of refeed. What am I going to do??? Is anyone else having trouble with this? I think I am going to need to add some protein to my yogurt breakfast in the mornings...I am so sick right now I can't think about food anymore.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Cut out your yogurt and have egg or cheese, with some protein- that splits it all up over 3 meals instead of 2.
Much easier to handle!

Thats a good idea Shell...maybe I will have egg with my salmon (new protein) for breakfast...then split the other protein between lunch and dinner...I really struggled today. I feel so sick to my stomach right now I am not sure I am going to be able to keep dinner down...this is awful.
Thanks Shell for that suggestion...I will do that tomorrow for sure.

Hi Cindy,

Sorry your feeling so awful. I was wondering what time you have your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I was worried a bit about fitting it all in towards the end of the program like you. I notice Shell is an early bird and has breakfast quite early. I have breakfast about 7.30-7.45am then lunch around 1pm and dinner at 6pm.

Do you think this is why you feel so full because meals aren't far enought apart?

I think Shells idea is good too. Spread things over three meals instead of two.

I usually don't eat my breakfast until 9am...then eat lunch between 2 - 3...then dinner around 8 - 8:30...and I make sure that I don't eat after 9. I am not an early bird as I don't usually go to sleep until after midnight...I still manage to get my 5+ hours between meals thought. Could be but not to sure. I should try to get up earlier for the last 8 days left of refeed. But I do think Shell as the answer. I am going to have my extra protein with all three meals.

I'm here trying to plan my meal for tomorrow. I'm thinking my best bet would be to eat a hearty breakfast so I am thinking of having my lunch meal for breakfast tomorrow then my breakfast for lunch then dinner meal for dinner.

Lunch would be a chicken, eggplant and cheese sandwich w/sliced tomatoes...using all the extra protein with the chicken and my meal protein with cheese...then of course extra veg in eggplant and tomato...the thought of it right now is making me a bit nauseas since I am still so full from dinner over 3 hours ago.

Then for lunch I will do the egg and have the new protein be salmon with my veg and a bit extra veg...so I will have added all my extra protein and veg to my first two meals of the day.

Then for dinner I will just have my regular Chicken and Zucchini...but add some potato for my carb.

A bit of a job figuring it all out but I think it is the best way to do it...so i don't have a recurrence of tonight. The day was going so amazingly well with my yummy lunch...but I just got totally full from it and didn't have room for dinner...never believed it when people said it is so hard to eat all the food on refeed...I am a believer now.

Hi Cindy,
That sounds like a better idea, I quite often have meal 2 or 3 for breakfast & a lighter meal at tea.
I seem to struggle with having more time from breakfast till lunch, so it helps heaps!

Hey Shell,

Going much better today so far. I think the trick is to have more protein and veg in the 1st two meals of the day. That is what I have done and now I am eating my fruit salad...banana, strawberries and kiwi...yummy.

Tonight I just have my regular Cohen's meal since I added all the extra protein and veg earlier...and I add carb tonight...so I figured I bake a small potato and weigh it out after I cook it and toss the balance.

Also, I decided to have milk for the extra new protein...it is such a small amount of milk that it was so much easier to use. Tomorrow I am going to try having a latte...YUM.

Thanks for checking in...it's been a crazy busy day for me and I am going to try to catch up in a bit on the other posts. I will check in on yours next.

Cindy

Re-feed Day 12 of 19 days - 65.4 kg (up 200g)
Breakfast- Meal 1- Egg, Chicken, Toast, Cucumber & Tomato(allowance + extra protein and veg)
Lunch- Meal 2 - Cheese & Eggplant Sandwich (allowance and new veg) Mozzerela cheese, 2 slices of toast, Milk (substitute new protein)
Snack- Banana, Strawberry & Kiwi (new bad fruits
Dinner- Meal 3 - Chicken & Zucchini & Potato (added carb) (allowance + extra extra veg)
Snack- Orange

I'm feeling so much better today. Still really full...but not sick feeling. I know now the trick for me is to have all my extra protein and veg in my first two meals. Also, substituting the new protein with milk helped a lot.

That's it for today.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Cindy

Hi Cindy,
I was able to get some lamb steaks-no bone.
Does your butcher have chump chops- they are the lower part of the leg, only have the one bone in them.

Hope you find some
Have a great day,

Hi Cindy,
I suggest you make the time to sit down and plan the rest of your re feed menu.
It makes it so much easier.

Buy your proteins and portion them up for your meals 1,2 &3 and then bag them into individual days.
Then the night before just grab them out of the freezer and you are all set for the day.
No stressing, it is all done!!

That has been extremly helpful for me.

I also keep a food diary for exactly what I have eaten for the day & at what time.
Which I will contunue after re feed, to make it easier to work out what works and what doesn't.
I found it hard enough just doing the program working out times- but this made it heaps easier.

I hope that helps
Shell

Opps- posted this in Penny's diary- sorry Penny

Hey Shell,

I basically do that. I have all the right sizes of proteins in baggies in my freezer. Then every night I plan the next day of food. But the planning is complicated...where to put the proteins and veg. I am getting the hang of it...I will probably get it down to a science the last day of refeed.

Re-feed Day 13 of 19 days - 65.3 kg (down 100g)
Breakfast - Cheese & Tomato Sandwich w/carrots and zucchini
Lunch - Egg, Toast, Salmon, Zucchini
Snack - Banana, Strawberry & Kiwi (new bad fruits)
Snack - Applesauce
Dinner - Chicken & Zucchini & Potato (allowance + extra extra veg)
Snack - Orange

Not feeling real full today. Actually I got a bit hungry between lunch and dinner and I was glad to have some extra fruit available. I hope like heck I'm not getting used to these huge portions. I do not plan on eating like this when I'm finished.

I really do miss my yogurt breakfast. I might try it again in a couple of days.

Just 3 more days until my wine and cookie...YEA!!!

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

I think I will do the same as you eventually and add the extra food in the first two meals of the day.

Glad to hear your not feeling so full. How are you going fitting in three slices of bread?

cheers

Re-feed Day 14 of 19 days - 65.5 kg (up 200g)
Breakfast - Yogurt w/applesauce
Snack - Pear
Lunch - Grilled Cheese Sandwich w/Tomato, 2 Slices Bread, Chicken Thigh (new protein), Zucchini
Snack - Toast w/Cinnamon and Splenda
Dinner - BIG SALAD - Chicken Breast, Lettuce, Broccoli, tomato, potato
Snack - Pear

The scales have gone up 200g...I know this is not very much at all...but I feel like I'm gaining weight...Yucky Feeling. I wonder if it's all the bread and cheese I have been eating. I am really into my cheese sandwiches...If the scales are up again tomorrow I'm going to eliminate them for a couple of days...they feel illegal even thought they aren't.

I can have butter tomorrow on my toast but since I don't have any I will probably not have it.

Glad to see everyone doing so well.

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Do you have cheese everyday? I was wondering whether we are still limited to three times a week with cheese.

I just checked my original program and you can have cheese everyday but it says to try and limit it to 3 times a week.

A grilled cheese and tomato sandwich sounds so good in fact I can almost smell it

You are nearly finished Cindy you must be pretty happy.

Cheers
