That must have been a wonderful experience with that young man, Shanara! Funny how some people touch our hearts in unexpected ways.

Being in the right headspace is what it's all about. AJ has often said that you aren't ready to shed the protective wall of weight until you have come to terms with who you are and resolved the emotional issues behind the eating. It's wonderful to see that you are ready now! You will blitz this!

And congrats on getting below the 130 mark! Well done! I hope your second day is as good as the first!

Hi Shanara!

Congrats on getting through day 1 with relative ease! (Actually, sounds like you aced it!! ).
It's great to hear that doing the pre-cohens has helped such a great deal!
It was lovely what that young man did, as many may think something like that but never have the nerve to tell the person, and it's lovely that he did! It's true that a lot of people can see to the core of the soul, and that they do not see your weight (as I thought people did with me). That was an eye opener for me!!

Keep going well, sitting on the edge of my chair in anticipation for your great first week's results!!

Hugz

Vee

Feeling very jubilant today - scales show 1.9 kgs down from yesterday - yes that's right - 6.9 all up. I do know where it went - I peed it out. OMG - I was in the toilet all day yesterday - even had a couple of small accidents - can't beleive it. OK here's a funny thing. I was drinking the same amount of water on the precohens and peeing a lot yet when i started the real programme it was like a tap turned on and it was just flowing through. All the puffiness from the legs is moving. Wow there really is something in the fine balance that Dr Cohen has that shifts our bodies - isn't that amazing. Thank you Dr Cohen - bowing down in gratitude.

Also measured myself and I am 11.3 cms less. I hope I am doing it right - arm. bust, chest, waist, hips, one thigh (although I have been taking both together just until I am sure - didn't include that one in measurements)..... add them all up and then take off previous measurements. Is that right? Will measure on Wednesdays from now on.

Thank you for the wonderful support everyone.

Vee - thanks - yes doing precohens, even in my version of it has helped a lot I feel, No bad detox symptoms so I am feeling really good. I am blessed that I have community around me who are willing to express positive things to each other. It's great. And taken me a long time to find that.

Mette - thanks - you are always so positive in here. yes I feel the head space is really a key issue.

Lulabelle - oh I so agree about the fresh produce. I go the organic markets on saturdays when i can.

One thing I forgot to share with you all. You know how I want to go to Antarctica - well someone at the gathering on the weekend goes a lot down there so had a good chat about the possabilities and saw lots of his photos. I have never met anyone who has been there before - how's that for the Universe supporting my dreams. lololol

Well have a wonderful Cohens day everyone.

Blessings
Shanara

The universe has a habit of doing that It's good that you keep your eye on the prize!

And yes, you're doing the measurements right. At least if you're doing them in the same spot. I'm never sure I do mine in the same spot, so I mainly look at how my clothes fit.

And congrats on the loss!! That's amazing! Keep up the great work!

Fantastic work for your first day, Shanara!

Yep, I'm with Mette on the universe bringing about what you are ready to receive, and it sounds like it's lining it all up nicely for you to head on down to Antarctica!

LOL@ the constant peeing!! It definitey does feel like that is all we are doing! It does settle down though, as your body gets more used to having so much water available all the time!

Keep up the great work!

Vee

I've officially lost 7 kgs now - gotta be happy with that. I can feel it in my body - even my jeans are loosening.

Nearly 1 o'clock here and I'm quite hungry - just trying to lasta bit longer before I have lunch so dinner is not too early. I had breakfast early today as I went to the organic markets. Was a bit hard passing some of my most favourite stalls but i found the mushroom man with all types of mushrooms so bought some shitake and oyster - going to try something exotic next week.

Can really feel the pull of habit at the momment ...go to the markets and have a ....... Go to the shopping centre and have a coffee & ...........
Have to be strong to resist those old habits.

Aj - I bought one of the fancy water bottles because I kept getting a bit mixed up - this will make it definite. Know I was always at 3 but sometimes not sure if I had a lot more or not.

Thanks for the support my friends.

Koh - was very touched by your acknowledgement of my comments on "trusting the process" - thank you. It has really been this forum that has made me so strong in trusting the process - can see it has worked for so many others - I am willing to give it my best shot as well. Oh, I think this is the first time we have spoken - so pleased to meet you.

Lulabelle - thanks - think you might be right about 2009.

Jimbo - yep me too - then I just ask - oh what do I feel like eating now and feel like i have many choices - so funny - not so long ago would have felt so different.

Chailee - don't be embarrased - easy to do - appreciate you taking hte time to organise the challenge - I can feel that dancing mango coming on.
I do think its a bit in our faces to have a dancing banana as we can't eat one - any chance of a dancing asparagus lol.

Vee - constantly inspired by your weight loss and how spunky you look - oh is it PC to say spunky?

Mette - thanks - not sure i'm in the same spot - but not too far off it I think. Will all even out in the long run.

Ellabelle - thanks so much.

Does anyone else freeze raw prawns - do they taste alright after defrosting?

Well off to prepare lunch now.....hmmmmm what shall i have ? maybe some new mushrooms and fresh asparagus ...... yum.

Blessings
Shanara

Awesome losses, Shanara, keep this up and in no time you will be where I am!! And you will be inspiring others!

Yeah, I remember about all those old habits, and it takes a while to get past them. Even today, after 7 months, I still had an old habit moment of wanting alcohol!! It's a matter of keep practicing to get past it!!

You are doing great things, and you will get your just rewards!!

Another good day down .8 kg. Can feel the difference in my body.

Was hungry all day yesterday - so far every second day I am hungry and then have a bigger loss the next morning on the scales. getting to know the patterns of my body is really helping.

Last evening would have been easy to deviate even though I knew I wasn't going to so i took the phone a friend option. Was an excellent option - we talked for ages and she told me she is in the process of signing up for Cohens as well. Am so happy - we will be doing it together - have similar amounts to loose and she has joined the forum as well - although not yet posted . Feel really excited by that.

Had a really big dream last night which showed me how my inner sabateour operates - how he charms his way in then undermines everything. Any one else have dreams? They can be very valuable as our voice of the unconscious - I have started a dream diary.

Koh - yes you are right - there are so many words of wisdom here.

Vee - Yes I can't wait til my stats are more like yours then mine are now. Think I will feel and move much better then. You are doing so well.

Well have to crack down and write an assessment today. How can I keep out of here - its a bit addictive lolol.

Have a shrinking day,
Shanara

Smile Great Job!

Just stopping by your diary to say great job on the recent loss! I saw in your previous post that you feel the pull of habits....I have been feeling them for sure today as is my first day.

I keep thinking...what can I snack on now? Oh yeah...can't do that!

I have weird dreams, too. Usually very adventurous. I sometimes dream of food....a couple of weeks ago I dreamt I was eating a milkshake and that I didn't enjoy it anymore. That is so not like me. Maybe I dreamt that because I was already preparing to start Cohens and trying to have the right mindest. Who knows.

Take care...and keep up the good work.

Ms. Jiggles

Hi Shanara, Well done, your powering through your first week......good on you. I could feel the difference in my body fairly quickly aswell. Its such a good feeling to feel in control of what goes in your mouth, I think the overwelming thing is having to have control for the rest of our lives. I am feeling more & more confident as time goes on that I can do this and so will you Bring on Antartica

If we're talking deviation dreams YES! There are quite a few, and I've put some of them in my diary.
It's great that your friend is doing Cohens too! That kind of support would be invaluable! A friend of mine was meant to start with me, but she never got around to it. She had to pay money back in tax, and just hasn't gotten back to it. Someday, hopefully, she'll be ready.

Keep powering on, you're doing great!

Well another .8kg down yesterday - wonder how come two .8 losses in a row - not complaining just curious. seriously - this is pretty amazing - never have I lost weight this fast. Was on weight watchers three times and most i lost was 12kg in 6 months - this is amazing. Holding on for the ride down the slippery dip.

Not so hungry today so that felt better - hopefully my st9omach is adjusting to the small amounts of food.

Got another assessment finished today - just two more to go - yippee! Has been hard to focus on writing when I am hungry and a bit fuzzy in the head - hope that goes a way. maybe lack of caffeine even though I didn't drink a lot of coffee.

Thanks so much everyone for all the support - I am sure this forum makes all the difference.

Mette - as long as the deviations are only in your dreams . Yes we are looking forward to doing hte journey with each other. Shame about your friend. Never mind - you have us. Bet she looks a little enviously at you now.

Ellabelle - yes I have a number of friends who have said anything they can do to help they will.

Jenny - everytime i look at your ticker you inspire me ...great feeling in the body - last time i wore the shirt I have on today it was getting a bit snug - now perfect.

Tam - oh I love my shitake mushies - only ever had them as a treat - now almost every meal - I figure why not? I'm saving money on other food. yep tam - it feeels pretty good and I really like the constant feedback in the beginning from the scales.

Mandarella - sure did - I feel so blessed

Mrs Jiggles - funny I feel like I was being prepared for this too. Last cup of coffee I had I was so sick after it for half an hour - said to my friend - that is my last cup of coffee.

Well my dear Cohens friends hope you have had a great Cohens day.

Blessings
Shanara
