Thanks for your input SD! You're absolutely right - an unintentional deviation is far different from a conscious decision to eat the wrong foods. I also don't count it as a real deviation if someone finds themself in a position where they have to try and eat Cohen friendly because they are unable to be home to cook their meal at the right time. This is not a conscious decision to eat the wrong stuff but an attempt to eat the right stuff and the person in this position is doing everything they can not to sabotage their weight loss. It's all a matter of mindset I think.

I'm glad to have you along on the 100% deviation free journey with us! If we stick together and know we are all eating according to our plans we will get through this more quickly and easily than if we prolong the agony and guilt and discomfort of being fat by deviating.

Louise

One more day of work to get through and then it's away for the weekend! I'm a bit nervous about sticking to my plan but will make some Cohens meals today and take them with me. I just hope there is a microwave available so that I can warm the meals up when it's time to eat. I'm not nervous because I plan to deviate or anything but being away and not really knowing what facilities are available could put me in the "danger zone". Many others have managed while away so I'm sure I shall too.

On a slightly different tack ... I found out the other day that my manager has lost 30kg! I hadn't really noticed that she was losing weight but all of a sudden one day it was really really obvious so I started asking discreet questions and found out she had lost all this weight. It just brought home to me that others will probably think the same about my weight loss and not really notice until it's THAT obvious. I guess it's because when we see people every day or at regular intervals we don't notice the daily changes until they are extremely evident. I don't mind, I love having a "secret" but for those who hope others may notice their weight loss, it could be a helpful observation.

Anyway, I had to keep hitching my pants up at work yesterday because they are so loose so I think it might be time to ditch the big pants for a smaller size but I like to start things at the beginning of the week, lol, crazy I know, so I will take out the smaller size after the weekend away and see how I go. Fortunately the polo shirt that is part of my uniform can be worn for a while longer as it doesn't look as bad when it's loose. This will be my first downsize since starting this round of Cohens and also marks 8 weeks on plan! It's taken a while to get there but considering how tight my clothes were when I started, I'm not surprised.

Absolutely fantastic on the first (OF MANY) clothing downsizes! Its so exciting when that starts to happen!

I understand exactly what you mean about not really noticing your bosses losses, until one day and BAM it hits you! The exact same thing will happen to you! I was staying with my parents when I first did Cohens (my new house was taking LONG to transfer into my name and I kind of ended up, homeless hahaha) and so they saw me everyday while i was on my journey... I was about 2kg's from goal (granted I only had about 13 to lose) when my dad came into the kitchen one morning while I was prepping my breakfast and out of no where suddenly noticed! Before he would say, yes I see you looking good etc, but that day he was like, holy moly you are TINY!
Its the best feeling ever, and I know when it happens to you, you are going to savour every compliment and it puts you on such a high that you your drive to do this 100% DF, doubles!

Happy losing xxx

Thanks SD I'm looking forward to getting rid of my larger clothes (again) and fitting into some of the beautiful clothes I bought when I was at goal last time. My wardrobe seems so limited at the moment and I'm tired of the ugly larger clothes that I have been wearing to hide the bulges.

One nice thing that's already happened since I've lost 11kg is that I can fit into my bathers comfortably so I won't be too embarrassed when I wear them to go swimming while I'm away this weekend.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi S2BS,

Sounds like you doing so well!Well done. You will look fab in your bathers this weekend. Did you end up planning all meals for your weekend away?

Don't you love that feeling when your clothes are getting loose and you have to keep pulling them up ?? hahaha annoying but a good feeling hey?! Can't believe it's 2 months in on our journey. We can do this!

I hope you have a lovely weekend away.

Hi

You will have a wonderful weekend as you are so prepared with your pre packed meals, means you can just relax and not worry about the eating part, that's all sorted!! Brilliant job!

I can really relate to the wardrobe being so limited, I agree, I can't also wait to start fitting some other clothes from the cupboard. Some I can fit already but they don't really sit right just yet, but it's a nice feeling to put them back in the cupboard and think that it won't be long .

You're doing brilliantly!!!

Hi Louise!

I hope your getaway for the anniversary went amazing and at the same time on plan. Just being able to go on vacation with your loved one is wonderful enough and top it off with photos/memories wherein you look better and healthier than you used to, is going to make you feel giddy with relief that you took the first step towards to where you are right now. It also feels like your marking another chapter in your life with a focus on "yourself" like this will be the first of many realizations that YOU CAN DO IT... YOU CAN ALWAYS DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.. AND YOU ARE IN CONTROL.

Happy Anniversary!

Thank you everyone for your visits and comments in my diary!

We are just back from the weekend and I'm trying to catch up on what everyone has been doing in the last few days. It's only been a few days but it feels like it's been forever, lol.

The weekend was lovely! I precooked my meal 3's and for meal 2 I had taken salad ingredients and made up the meal at the time. I had saved all my cheese meals for the weekend so that I could have cheese for the easy protein meal without having to cook. It's probably not a good idea to have a cheese meal every day but I didn't exceed my allowance for the week so was still within Cohens approved guidelines. Breakfast was my normal yoghurt and fruit which is easy enough to prepare. I know that I didn't drink enough water while I was away but apart from that everything else was 100% on plan. It was hard at times, especially when hubby ate in a restaurant and I watched (poor waiter kept coming to the table with a worried look on his face) and he also had a double scoop of Baskin Robbins icecream! But I was strong and just enjoyed the aromas, then went back to our room and ate my Cohens meal.

It's 8 weeks today but I didn't weigh myself because I didn't have my bathroom scales with me but will do so tomorrow I'm hoping for a decent loss with all the resisting I did, lol.

And .... the results are in! Lol, I have just weighed myself and lost 1.2kg last week. I'm happy with that! I was hoping to slip into the 70s but it wasn't to be as I'm sitting exactly on 80 this morning! One thing I do know is that I will be in the 70s the next time I weigh though and I'm certain of that because this is the Cohen's eating plan!! If it was WW, JC or any other "diet" I would still doubt, lol. As tough as doing Cohen's can be, the rewards are well worth the effort!

So, 8 weeks in and I have lost 12kg! I have also lost 7cm off my thighs, 10cm off my hips, 9cm off my waist, 5.5cm off my bust and 4.5cm off my arms! Who wouldn't be happy with that!?

Bring on the 70s!!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
12kg's in 8 weeks! All those centimeters! You must be not only feeling fabulous, but looking at as well!!!!
Soooooo proud of you! It's incredible how this program works, isn't it?
Although I am using my old program, and I know the weight is going to come off a lot slower, this morning was the first morning, I could kind of "feel" a difference! My hubby says he can notice that my waist is tiny again, buuuuuuuuuuut I never take his word for it! When my goal weight clothes fit and the scale says those magical numbers, I will not give in

Keep going and before you know it, you are going to be smashing through the 70's, heading towards the 60's! So super exciting!

Happy losing!!

Thank you so much everyone! I love this place! You 'guys' are so encouraging and it's fantastic to be able to share weight loss milestones and know that you're understood! My family are encouraging but it's not with a sense of knowing just what we go through on a daily basis, the temptations resisted, the water drunk, the meals planned the 100g lost ...... thank you all for being such champions! I know I couldn't do it without you!
