Hey Penny!

Yep, it does feel like a lifetime ago!
So long as the kgs keep coming off till at least my upper goal range, I'll be happy! Anything below that is a bonus and if it drops below goal range, then I'll start worrying!!

Mette, would have loved to have had you also meet Jo! Only problem is I think you would have had to fight to get a word in edgewise!!! LOL
Only 3 and a half more days of working for you and then you can be a lady of leisure getting ready for your trip home!
How on earth did you manage to eat all the food on the plan? I'm beginning to struggle with it.

Thanks both of you for visiting!

Vee

Hi Vee!
Well you are nearly there! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! Have you started thinking about life after refeed? Are we going to see "Vee's maintenance diary"???

I hope you are sticking around here after all is done and dusted, as you are so inspirational and have a knack of finding the right words to encourage the rest of us!!

Have a great day

Wow I'm sure it was only a 'blink' ago when you started refeed and you are almost finished - already! Is maintenance supposed to be a lifelong
this is how you should eat forever?

Doing Cohen's can be so absorbing, thinking about how well or not so well your doing, logging into this forum, motivating others, so what do you do when it's all over red rover? Mmmm, I'm only mentioning this as I know I will be facing this when I get closer to goal. My goodness, remind me not to log into Ebay.

Can't wait to see a photo of the NewVee at goal weight!
Bye for now
Mel

Hi Vee, great to see how well you are going. I found all the food on refeed pretty daunting, I think I tended to make the mistake though of adding it all to my evening meal, next time I am going to try and spread it through the day!!

Default Day 12

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 63.6kg
Difference: -1.5kg

Weight still stable today. I think all the dropping will probably stop now. We shall see, still have 6 days of refeed left!

Yesterday I ate all 3 slices of bread and had some rice (carbs) and no gain!
I haven't been game to have the milk as I have to reduce my protein if I do that, and I'm not that fussed on milk anyway, so will leave it for now. I may give it a go on the weekend when I can enjoy a coffee in the morning and put some milk in it.

I'm still loving all the extra food. I can't manage it all in one meal, I have to split it over the rest of my meals.

Thanks for all the visits, Daffodil, Yeti, PS, Dedee, Kay, Mel and Louise! I appreciate your visits. Refeed land seems to be very very quiet at the moment with only Louise and myself here!

Hope you all have a fab day!

Vee

Hey sweetness! I think the reason I managed the extra food easily is because I spread it out over the three meals. Made it a lot easier! Also, I think my body was ready for more food. I was getting very tired and cranky at the end of the program.
It's amazing how you can eat all that and not gain weight, though, isn't it? The good doctor really did balance that out very well!
Stay strong and keep smiling, pretty lady!

You are doing brilliantly on refeed - keep up the good work. Your body obviously was crying out for that extra food.

Don't be so certain that you won't lose more weight on refeed - it's not unheard of.

Thanks for the words of encouragement in my diary too.

Hey, Vee, I'm here too!!!

I was just a bit down today... ... Some not so good news, oh well, will deal with it...(but not in YOUR diary)

You're doing awesome on the refeed... I have been spreading the extras through all the meals...yes, it's a lot of food...but I woke up very hungry today, funny, ha?

I dont intend to have milk, either.

Do you also have/had after adding 2 good fruits then add 1 bad fruit and 1 old fruit? Like - I have after adding good fruits, good fruits...then suddenly 1 bad and one OLD fruit...

ENJOY last few days!!!!!!!!!

Hey Vee (huggles)

OMG can you just imagine you, me, Mette and Louise together in real life??????????? Utter madness. How do we get those 2 down to Brissie at the same time?

After having a sneak peak at your refeed I think I am slightly less confused but I am sure I will cope when I eventually get there. I wanna be just like you when I grow up slim and confident. A girl can dream

3 slices of bread plus rice.............bring it on.

Take care

Jo

Thanks for the visit Jenny, Mette, Scotty, Maya and Jo!

Mette, I spread the extra food out over the three meals as well, or if I'm having the yoghurt for brekkie, over the other 2 meals! It's still a lot!

Maya, soooooooooooooo sorry........ how could I have forgotten my fav international refeed budy!!!! Of course you are here too! Hope you can forgive my blindness!!

Jo, you are too kind! What lovely compliments you give out!! I'll be getting a big head if I keep listening to you!!

I've been craving stuff again today, mostly chocolate and BAD stuff! Wonder if I'm getting anxious getting near the end of this second journey and then I will be on my own doing maintenance! Hmmmmmm. Only 6 more days to go and I'm having thoughts of wanting forbidden stuff now. Will have to work through that and find out why! It is worrying, because I'm wondering if I'll be able to control myself when I get to maintenance. Time to think up some strategies!!

Vee

Hi Vee
What fantastic results you're getting on refeed! I still haven't got to the library to get some of those books out that you recommended (if they have them). No doubt they will shine light on the craving bad food issues.

Enjoy the next 6 days!!!!

No worries, Vee... I'm not going anywhere, I will still buzz around here and mess with people...

I think it is wise to do as Hexi will - kind of prolong the refeed - jumping straight into maintnence can be very dangerous... just keep the same kind of meals, the ones you like...maybe more protein, less fruits...just to keep it safe.... and then slowly adding day by day...

I think that is VERY important...

Default Day 13

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 64kg
Difference: -1.1kg

Scales up 400g today. It must be all the thoughts of forbidden food!
Hexi, I think you nailed it! Panic is exactly what it feels like! I think I'll reread your diaries again when I get a chance.

Maya thanks, I will listen to you 'oh wise one'! As well as to Hexi and the others who have been through this.

While I just love how slim and good I look, I fear it won't be enough to keep me from reverting to the old patterns and programming again. It also seems to be aggravated by what I'm reading by Geneen Roth, because she is saying to listen to your body and have what your body wants (NOT your mind, but your body) and that is not really in tune with where I'm at with the programme. And I have fears about doing what she says. From what Hexi has told us of her book, it is similar to what Tony Robbins teaches, so I might go back to his 30day course that I was doing previously.

Thanks for visiting as well Fi! Hope you are travelling good!

Vee

Hi Vee, Forbidden thoughts mmmmmmm don't you hate them!!!! You will be okay. Keep chipping away at it and just being aware of it is so important.

I just started reading that Geneen Roth book "when food is love" wow what a powerful read. I also found that "the gabriel method" had a similar view to giving your body what it wants. What if you are like us and can't decifer whether it's you mind or your body that is wanting!!!!! It does contradict that we are on weight loss programs!!!

Have a great day
