Re: Ed's Diary
Bleah. Worst week yet, only 700g
I knew it would be a slower week (getting used to mapping my cycle) and should have a good next couple of weeks hopefully. Lots of people noticing now, or commenting at last. I almost laughed when a person at work noticed and commented i must have lost at leat 7kgs, and i got to tell him...nope....30kgs. I'm in unchartered teritory now as this has been the lowest adult weight for me (apart from another 8kgs down once when sick), nice. Happy loosing!

Re: Ed's Diary
Well done Ed ! 30 kgs gone already and almost in the 20 kg to go club.It seems like you just joined and here you are already this far down the track.Don't worry about the -700 this week it just put you in a great position for next week and your body has to have a bit of time to catch it's breath in the speed of your lossesA 700 gram block of cheese is still a good chunk and that is no longer part of you. A new all time adult low weight under normal circumstances is indeed cause for celebration ! ( of the nil by mouth kind) It is fun watching men lose weight on this program because it is pretty spectacular! Wish we ladies could do it as well as you men do.There is the odd special lady that can give you guys a fright but it is rare.

Re: Ed's Diary
Ticker time!
3 kgs this week bringing my 12 week total to 33.1kgs!!!!!!! off to get my blood test later. thanks M&N, only 0.9kgs til i get to joing the 20kgs club, gosh where has the time gone? Big dramas this week - DD has had a fever (teething) and went into febrile convulsions on monday night. Ambulance and everything, I had to do cpr as she had stopped breathing and went blue. Very scary but all good now and hopefully that is the only time i ever have to dial 000. We are about half an hour from the nearest ambo and that time went forever. One solace i can take from the experience is that DW was a nurse in a former life and i am a first aid-er at work and deal with lots of animals too so we we resonably equiped to handle it. I would not wish it upon any parent and hopefully never see it again. Hope you are all well! thanks for dropping by, Mwah Ed |

Re: Ed's Diary
All I can say is WOW! Wow!! WOW!!! You are absolutely blowing this away aren't you? Wish us women could lose as fast.
Great work Ed. P.S. Sorry to hear about the fright you had with the little one. Very happy all worked out well. Being parents is really scarey sometimes; but we wouldn't trade that for the world would we?

Wow Ed, that is incredible ! We females cannot help but envy you guys in the weight loss stakes ! But by the same token we are all thrilled to bits for you.Already you are on the brink of the 20s club and before you turn around it will be the 10 !! From there the finishing tape is staring you in the face !! Stay focused and watch it happen.
As to your scare, that has to be the worst.I have just done a St Johns course and I do not want to face what you had to.It was just the best that you knew what to do. |

Wowsers Ed. I remember you had just joined before we went away and now you sure are kicking butt. Amazing - well done. Relate to the family comments on - you can stop now cetra. I also got it at work derrrr. My comment "oh you've gotta be kidding - I'm not even at the normal BMI yet. That usually shut em up." Anyway - great work. Bet your feeling so good. Cheers Narelle

Re: Ed's Diary
Thank you all for the support.
The diet: easy. I know i've said this before but, the only diet that could have worked for me. the rigididty (definate do's and don't) but the flixibility (meals, proteins, vegies) are what is great. Bubby: We are still recovering from the emotional trauma to us, meanwhile she is fine. it was sooo good to hear her cry for her feed the next morning. i think i cried most of tuesday and still tear up while she is toddling around getting into mischief. My next dilema: The head of our department (my boss's boss) has asked a few of us out to lunch as a thank you for some recent extra work. I have avoided all "outside" food so far as, with bub, we don't get out much anyway and have cut out going out for dinner (I still get DW take away fish and chips once a week so don't have to cook). Sooo I have another meeting for the proposed lunch time anyway so can get out of it but it will probably be rescheduled. I guess i can estimate the portion size enough now that i could have steak and vegies and just eat what i think is a "proper" porthion. ????? He has suggested next thursday so it will probably be after that if it is rescheduled. Enough of a rant. I make no apologies for being younger, taller and more chromosomally advantaged to loosing weight but you ladies (and Mark) are doing great. |

Re: Ed's Diary
Hi Ed,
Good height there, mate - 1.88m - reminds me of me You are steaming, Ed, and are looking really good in the "How much did you lose in 12 weeks" stakes :- http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5364 Tough time with the DD - but what a good result in the end, eh? Thanks to you and DW - it is always harder with "the first" - after that, it becomes 2nd nature...... Rock on, tall dude, Koh

Hey Ed, find out where you are going and call ahead! Other than that go for the plain grilled option of somthing with a salad! And never be afraid to ask for no dressing, chips or sauces. I find if they are not on the plate, they are not in my mouth!
Good to hear about DD, phew kids are an emotional rollercoaster! |

Re: Ed's Diary
GOOD JOB BUD!! So VERY proud of what you have achieved! Woot woot! Keep going mate - it won't be long now!
So sorry to hear about your awful experience with DD, I too have experienced something this terrifying with my first born (she stopped breathing 3 times in her little life, but thank heavens she is still with us!) It isn't something I wish upon anyone. Time stands still and all you can think of is seeing their little chests moving up and down, filling with air. The urgency is awful, as most times it's out of our control. You and DW ought to be proud of yourselves that you kept your darling Ruby alive and that she is blessing you everyday with her mischief and smiles. I have had a bit of a time lately too, have a read in my diary. Still cheering for you mate, keep up the great work! Vic xx |

Re: Ed's Diary
Ticker time!!
Week 14, 2.4kgs this week, 36.7 total. What a week - my weight was all over the shop this week - lost 1800g, gain 200, gain 2kgs, loose 2kgs.... but its going down so that the main thing despide major fluctuations. I had a terrible skin allergy reaction this week to something - red lumps everywhere, and i mean all over my body. I have had to go on a short course of steroid tablet to try and get rid of the itchy boils covering me. Yuk. Oh well, another week closer i guess. Mad cravings this week though - Mmmm long cream doughnuts, hot chips, beef wellington........... i could smell lollies all the other day. Go you good thing HGH. I just phoned the clinic to tell them re the steroids and she said tht's fine it will just slow the loss and i will probably get hungry - advised i can have more cracker (2) and an extra piece of fruit if i really need. i hope i don't have to "break" the plan but thought it was odd that they were encouraging of this. Hmmm...??? Hope everyone is well, you big loosers (i love saying that) Ed
