Dunno what day it is. It's so hard getting onto the straight an narrow once you have a blow out. Deviations are so much easier after the first one.

83.3 for me this morning. Pretty happy with that though I think last nights 5-a-side soccer match may have contributed to it. let's see what tomorrow brings.

hi there sprinters.

you are all so motivating....love this thread.

remember this.....

'The definition of Madness.......is REPEATING THE SAME BEHAVIOUR BUT EXPECTING A DIFFERENT OUTCOME'

i think this can be translated to ' drink to much beer.....gain weight OR 'eat to many carbs.....gain weight'.

this is all going into my memory bank for use post refeed.....really appreciate you guys gaining a bit post refeed so
you can go back on the program and show us first timers the way. very kind of you.

cheers penny

But the up-side of this quote is that if we repeat the same good behaviour as we had when we did Cohen's initially, that we will get the same outcome.... which is why I'm back on the programme on Saturday!

Hey Baloo,

Sounds like you need to engineer a couple of GOLF games !! Yes? If you can arrange one with SMS, it'd be a real win-win ....

Giday All

I have a four day business planning weekend finsihed yesterday, enough said. The good news is I only gained 2kg!

But that is it. As of today I am now 100% Cohens. First time since refeed that I feel the need to go straight. Wife is killing me at 3.5kg and now size 10 going to 8. Knocking back bus lunches and drinks and hitting the gym in 30 minutes.

Great to see you all here. GOOOOO TEAM!

Peter

Koh,

Unfortunately I don't play golf but if I did I would get twice as much exercise as Baloo. My short 72 cm legs would have twice as many steps to cover the same 18! Never bothered to get a PC at the local so I don't have a handicap.

Steps ? We're in Asia. Golf carts all the way.

SMS, doesn't Mrs SMS work in a golf course ? Surely you'd be able to get some cheap lessons.

Yeah, forgot about that, but she worked for 13 years on the old 9 hole course inside Seletar Camp (no buggies there - for the golfers that is). The clubhouse was only 1 block from my place for 15 years. Now that's closed she's been transferred to the Seletar course outside the camp. I used to play on the 9 hole course for free (without a PC) but I can't do it at the new course. Don't really like the game - that's why I never got a PC.

Not a good day yesterday. Deviation the night before and suffering big time with cramps and nausea for most of the day. Drove home from work with a bucket just in case. Not fun. Still a little crampy and off today. It may be a coincidence that I've picked up a bug, can't be sure, but managed to get yesterdays meals down, somewhat modified but done nevertheless. Missed cardio training cos I just didn't think it was worth the effort after such a revolting day. Back to basics today.

Well I'm sure it's a tummy bug I've had. Still not quite right yesterday and a little better today. Today I'm back to my pre blowout weight on Monday. Heading out for a Chinese meal with an old friend and her partner tonight and wanting to take it easy for the benefit of the plan and also for my tummy even though I've been eating my Cohens meals, I don't want to overdo it.

Hope everyone is going well. Good luck (as if you need it) to the 2nd round of sprinters.

Lauren

Well I guess it's a result of dinner Saturday night. Had a good day food wise yesterday so there can't be any other reason for it. Thought I was getting away with it cheaply. Never mind, one must expect these things when you don't follow the rules. It's my birthday next week so we are planning on going out to dinner then but I will not deviate again between now and then (*hand over heart*).

Hello All

Still here and watching.

It seems to me our race has become a marathon where the goal is to finish in the end, rather than finish first. And that is good thing I think.
Baloo, has dropped lots to 82kg. Well done mate! And by the way my daughter thinks your bear Avatar is cute and demanded to touch it this morning. Lonniece is at 4kg, that’s not too bad.

Personally....

I have plateued at 88kg and 25% body fat and been there for four days. I have been sticking to the diet 100% but accepting deviations as the circumstances required or presented. Great for maintenance but not to lose.

Keep the motivation and accept a downward trend is the goal is my advice to all.
Regards, Peter 14.7

PS back home so will post daily to motivate you all. Goal: WILL be 85.5kg by Friday!

Well I'm feeling like a yoyo. Back down to 65.2kg which is where I was Monday a week ago so all in all my deviations really set me back a week. I'm glad I didn't deviate at all while on the plan originally, 34 weeks was quite long enough.

84.4 for me today. Yesterday's Hotel Buffet lunch sort of counted as a deviation in a massive way. Oh well, couldn't be helped as it was a celebratory Promotion lunch

Actually I should add a bit here because it is relevent.

I'd been passed up for a promotion this time last year and it was annoying. No real reasons given.

In chatting with some of the senior boys yesterday, the topic always turned to me weight loss. It's fair to say it's been a topic of conversation around the extended office (we have 3 buildings just in Singapore) even when I wasn't around.

One comment made was that my losing weight let senior mgmt know that I was frustrated where I was and that I needed a challenge to sink my teeth into. Seeing I couldn't find it through work, I went out and shed 50kg in record time. He said it also showed that when I am focused and committed to something, there is nothing that can get in the way that will stop me reaching my goals. He said the weight loss was a big factor in getting me to the top of the promotions list. Now, I don't think it's a case of I wouldn't have been promoted if I was still obese, it's just that they saw some strong resolve that they didn't before.

So there you go guys, another reason to be successful on the programme !
