Hey Vee!

I do believe this is my first visit to your diary!? OMG! There are so many here eh!

Thanks so much for your lovely words and encouragement. I think you are doing incredibly well and seem to be facing some of the challenges head on and not letting them get the best of you!

I was saying in my diary... that I never could SEE myself getting to the end.... as I had no concept of what that might look like.... and so I too used to regularly read the older cohenites diaries for inspiration and sometimes I would just stare at their photos trying to convince myself that one day ... that could be me. AND here I am! I cant believe it!

You too will be one of those inspiring others and looking back on this part of your journey in shock and awe at what you have achieved! I look forward to following your journey and seeing your photos as you go!

Please feel free to drop by anytime!

Blessya
Kannadew

I had a problem again yesterday with my HydroCoach, Vee. It was giving strange readings, I had to reset it to get it to start, then it lost the display altogether. This morning I changed the battery. That didn't solve it, so I put the old one back, and it worked again. I think the problem was that it had a bit of moisture in it. Fortunately, it was still working after drying it out.

week 5 day 1

Today was cause I got on the scales in anticipation, only to have dropped .5 of a kg!! That was a huge disappointment after such a good start. Oh well, at least it is a drop and not a gain, so its onwards and downwards!!

Yesterday was another HUGE challenge for me. I had to address some very emotional issues that have been ongoing, and as a result, all I wanted to do was.... EAT!!
I had promised my son some Hungry Jacks for lunch, and he nearly missed out. I got around that hurdle by staying in the car and letting him go in and order his own. Then he got to eat it by himself once we got home. It was so hard not to fall back into that old habit!! But I'm so glad that I didn't. Keeping very busy also helped to control the urge and again, I resorted to my all time fave treat of tea and diet sprite punch!!

I can't help remembering that life is much easier to cope with when I'm not carrying so much weight, and I can't wait for that day to happen again!!

Thanks so much for your encouragement and inspiring words Andy!

Kannadew, you are an angel, and can't wait to make your prediction come true!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Vee

AJ, you seem to be having a few problems with that hydracoach! Not so good. Mine has only done it once that the readings went strange, but it came good after I reset it. I hope you've had your 3 incidents with it and now it is over!!!

Well done with conquering the cravings, Vee. I'm finding now how much easier it is to get around now; I found myself walking up the stairs today without pulling on the banister. Unfortunately, the only way to get to goal weight is to forego that food that we don't really need anyway.

Hay there Vee...500gms is a great loss. Certainly nothing to be sneezed at. Keep up the great work. Well done with the strategies to avoid deviation. It's can't be easy...especially when you have to smell it. And in your car...kinda adds insult to injury. But you overcame it...your a bloody star. Good on ya love. Great effort. Keep up the phenominal work and the great losses. Hugs and stuff

It's been a while since I posted, thanks to hectic study life!
I'm also very disappointed as I got my blood test results and they had come back as deviated!! I just can't understand it. Upon thinking on it quite a bit, the only thing I can think of is that occasionally I got my meals mixed up and ended up having a meal 2 twice in one day. When I discussed the deviation with my consultant, she also advised that the stress I'm undergoing is probably not helping and the fact that I haven't been sleeping very well for the past couple of weeks (actually about 4 weeks now). The upside is that I'm still losing weight, albeit slowly, only lost half a kg last week, so hopefully this week will be better.

I'm addressing the stress part as best as I can, but I just don't seem to manage to improve on the sleep side of things. Maybe once a few things in my life get sorted out the way I prefer them to be, that will improve.
Anyway, That's my bit of an update.

Vee

Hi Vee,
Better to lose a little than none at all, and that's
what was happening 5 weeks ago, so keep going
and you will do fine. M y bloods will come back as
a deviation caused by a skin and beauty pill that
was only a herb called Horsetail, but that is a plant
protein so I haven't been told as yet but it was an
honest mistake.
Your doing well
Cheers Jenni

Sorry to hear that you've been a bit stressed, Vee. Hopefully, you'll have a bigger loss next week. A one-off low week may not be significant.

Week 6 Day 1 (Day 36)

Whilst it has been a pretty stressful week, and it is still likely to be for the next few weeks, I was very pleased with what the scales had to tell me this morning! Dropped 2kgs!
I've met my first goal of a 10kg loss and I'm really pleased about that. My centimeter loss was marginal, just so happy it was still a loss!
My trousers are getting so loose now that I need to start wearing a belt to keep them up! I had a scour around an op shop yesterday, but unfortunately couldn't find anything in a big enough size (they seem to cater to mostly size 10-16!!) and as my next size down is bigger than that, I had no luck. MMMmmmm have to rethink the plan for newer smaller clothes! I've been given heaps of size 16 clothes, but it will be a while before I can get into those. A good goal to aim for!
I'll just keep on keeping on!
Vee

Well done on reaching your first goal, Vee. I've noticed that most of the clothes in op shops are the smaller sizes. I've been wondering if that's because the larger sizes get snapped up quickly There's a clothing exchange on the forum. You could try posting a request in that for the sizes you want.

Thanks Jenni and AJ.
I'm happy with my results so far! And it is a terrific feeling achieving that first goal!
That's a good suggestion AJ about using the clothing exchange forum, I'll have a look into it.
Otherwise, not much else to tell here. I'm feeling a bit low due to circumstances at home and around me.
Eventually things will get better and I'll pick up again.
I just find it robs me of having anything constructive and useful to say.

Week 6 day 5

Feeling better lately, still have a lot going on, but feel more capable of dealing with it all.
Ain't if funny what loose clothing can empower you to achieve!

I'm finding that taking it all just one day at a time is a big help as well. It has helped me to not deviate from the program when I've had all this other stuff going on as well.
I would have done this in the past and just focussed on getting through the crisis without worrying about the rest.
I've also been re-reading my program, so hopefully now I'm not making any unintentional deviations either.

Lately I've been craving a nice creamy cup of coffee, especially when out shopping, but I have not succumbed yet! The fact that I would have to endure the de-tox
headaches again was enough to keep me from having one! I also want to get to my goal as soon as possible, and having such a long way to go, I know I'll get there
quicker by sticking to the program, so that is what I chose to do. Continual practicing of this makes it slightly easier every time!!

That's about all I have for now.
Vee

Vee, how puzzling about your bloods coming back deviation when you haven't. Did the consultant shed any more light on that?
Good to see that your pushing on in the face of adversity and getting results.

You're doing so well, Vee, sticking with the diet through your difficulties.

I agree totally with what you said about getting to goal quicker if we don't deviate. The thought of setting myself back a few days or a week is enough to keep me from deviating.
