Things have been going well... I though my weight loss would slow down once I got below 60kg, but I still seem to be losing 100-200g a day which is very exciting. I'd really like to be at goal before Christmas, have a fair way to go and I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but we'll see. Yesterday I went to The Works and bought a beautiful skirt that was $100 down to $49 and best of all, it's a size 8! I don't remember ever being able to fit an eight on the bottom. I have relatively big hips.... It was so exciting! Normally when I go to the sales racks all of the 10's and 12's are gone and it's only the smaller or larger sizes left - weird to think I might be able to pick up some bargains now! Cohen's is amazing, it really makes you look at all the junk you were putting into your body! I remember when I started how I felt sad about missing out on all of my fave bad foods - Cohen's is so empowering though, I really don't feel like I'm missing out (perhaps I'm just feeling good today, lol) Anyway, enough of my rambling... Hope you have a great day! |

Ellabelle! WOW!
Gurl, you are powering along nicely! Sorry I haven't dropped infor a while! I see you are now a 50s gurl! Congrats and celebrations!! What an achievement! Gotta love this program and what it does for us. Yay on the size 8s! I know my butt has definitely changed shape to a much better and smaller shape, and I'm so pleased with it, so I'm glad hearing you are enjoying similar benefits. Sounds like you will be finding heaps of bargains in the future! Keep powering on, you will be at goal soon! Vee |

OMG! Size 8?? That's AMAZING! You must be tiny! I'll be happy if I ever fit into a size 12! My problem is my tummy, and the smaller sizes just aren't comfortable. I'm comfy in my 14 jeans now...
So good to be in the zone, isn't it? Have a great week, pretty lady!

Vee, Tam & Mette - Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement!!! Size 8 sure feels great... shame I can't shave anything off my hip bones in the process of all this weight loss lol. The joy of having a pear typed shape figure I guess hehe
Good news to report, I'm down another .5kg or so... Now at 58.9kg. Which puts me about 5.9kg above my goal of 53kg. My Cohen's range is 53 - 56kg but I'd really like to get to the bottom end. I'm really not sure on ordering refeed - should re-read my plan or call my consultant I guess. I'm thinking about ordering when I get to about 55kg - does that seem reasonable to everyone? Have a great day! |

Yeah, 2 kilos from where you want to be seems good to me. Just watch our for signs of refeed. You don't want to need the refeed but not have it available! You might start eating stray cats or something!
Congrats on the loss too! That's excellent! You're really powering through!

I'm feeling awful tonight - don't know what's come over me... All I want to do is curl up with cheesecake and coffee and feel sorry for myself. Bleh... hopefully tomorrow will be better |

Poor chicky... I find that my softdrink allocation helps in situations like that. Oh, and watching my favourite shows, too! Preferably with some hot guys in it! Sending you lots of positive energy and hugs!

Mette & Shanara - thank you for your posts
Well, the girls night was encouraging. We had dinner at my house and talked (until 2am... oops) it was very refreshing. Feeling a bit happier overall after a relaxing weekend. Loss for the week was 700g which isn't bad. The scales have gone up 200g over the last two days, but not stressed, I'm sure it will disappear again. Had someone yesterday give their opinion of me doing Cohens and I sure am glad I wasn't feeling like I was last week or my reply could have been less than nice. Sometimes I just want to say to people "You know, if I wanted your opinion I would have asked you BEFORE I went on Cohens" grrr... Hope everyone has a good day! |

Never listen to the negativity! If they've never tried it, how would they know?
So glad you're feeling better, pretty lady! A girls night works wonders! And the 200 grams is probably just some fluid retention, it will be gone in a few days! Keep up the great work! Stay strong and keep smiling!

200g gone - woot!
Jumped on the scales this morning and the 200g has disappeared - yey! Must have been water retention... think I may have over done the salt over the last few days too. I know I shouldn't have much but it's so darn good.
Feeling back in the swing of things which is nice - had a bit of a hard time watching my guests eat dreamy donuts and a delicious looking pasta dish on Friday night. I really think getting busy with other things takes care of most of the battle for me (what can I say, easily distracted?! lol) Very excited to be going to Melbourne for a few days after Christmas to see my family - they haven't seen me at this weight since I was about 15 or so. Hope everyone has a great day! xxoxoxox |

Easily distracted is a good thing! I found that playing with my camera at a social function kept me distracted and not thinking about the yummy things others were eating. Hey, as long as it works, it's good!
It's gonna be so good to see your family! They must be so excited for you! Stay strong and keep smiling pretty lady!

Louise - Yes, I'm reallllllly looking forward to Christmas
Mette - Think you are right, it is good being easily distracted certainly makes time go faster than if you were 100% focussed on food all of the time Woot - jumped on the scales this morning and another 200g gone! Has anyone else found that when you lose weight this quickly, your brain doesn't really have time to catch up? I still don't feel like I've dealt with my food issues that put me in the overweight category to start with. I'm still thinking of Cohen's as a "diet" rather than a "lifestyle change" and thinking of all the junk I want to eat when I'm finished. Does anyone have any tips on how to change your mindset? I think it's going to take a lot of work. I really don't want to end up having to buy a new program because I'm back where I started in 12 months time... I know moderation is the key - but I seriously have no grasp of moderation or self control (well, at least I didn't before Cohen's)... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Have a great day! |

Becks diet solution has changed the mindset of a lot of people on the forum. You might also want to try meditation or have some long chats with a trusted friend or maybe even a psychologist or a nutritionist. It's whatever works for you, really. As you say, it's important to see this as a lifestyle change, because 'if you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got'. Sad, but true
Besides, you've done so very very well on the program, it would be silly to undo it all! Stay strong and keep smiling, pretty lady!
