Thanks for your reply I am glad that i am not the only one that feels this way, maybe i am just starting to get anxious about coming to the end and just want to be at my goal. Like you said i think i just need to have patience and let the body do its thing like it has for the last six months. I started this program at 117kgs but about 2 years ago i was 132kgs like you were when you started, it's a great feeling to finally shed all those kilos. Thanks again Purple Lady |

Hey, just popping in to say Happy Easter...
I dont know but until yesterday I was soooo impatient thinking about it for wanting to have been at goal.. But we are doing it. I am sure this last layer of fat to go is the challenge but we are doing it.. You have done sooooo well and just think we will be in refeed sooner than latter and this is the last occassion (easter) that we will be in stage one of the programme.Yay for all of us! We are shifting the final layer of stubborn fat and it will go you watch! Have a great easter break and I hope you do get to have a little break! Maria

Hi Maria,
Thanks for popping in you will probably be in refeed before me the way i am going i just hope that my body will kick back in gear and i lose those last 10 kgs. I know that i just have to stick with it and it will happen, it 's just a bit annoying to be so close and the scales not moving. Hope you have a great easter too, i won't miss the chocolates this easter but i miss the hot cross buns, i will have to freeze some so i can have them at a later date. Thanks for your encouragement i know that i can do it i just have to have patience. Thanks PL |

Oh the patience lol! It was never one of my virtues, that's for sure! Could be that your body is being stubborn at the moment because it's around a milestone. It's happened for a lot of people. I think it has something to do with the chemestry going wonky because we want it too much (read: subconscious stress). It will come though. *Nudges your scales to help you along* Take care, pretty lady!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks Mette, patience is not one of my stong points either, but i think i have been losing at a really steady rate and all of a sudden it seems to slow down (not happy Jan). Over the last couple of weeks the scales have been going up and down only a little bit, but it's the first time since i started that i have seen them go up, and i have been DF the whole time. I guess it comes back to the fact that i need to learn some PATIENCE. Thanks, Purple Lady |

I can truly relate to what you are experiencing. I am the same, but I am starting to become very impatient, very tired, very exhausted...... so close but yet so far. I am truly hoping this does not go on for too much longer, I have not had a problem with focusing on my goal but with this happening I could quite easily do refeed tomorrow..... except I know I won't.

Morning,
My scales have finally given me a bit of hope that they will start moving again, because this morning they have gone down only a little bit but aleast it's in the right direction, i only hope that it keeps going. I am now feeling a bit more positive just to see the scales go down has helped me see that i will get to my goal. Have a great day. Purple Lady |

Hi Guys,
I have had a chat with the girls at my clinic about why my scales are not moving as quick as they have before, or a quick as i would like them too. I have been DF so that was not it, but my husband has been laid off from his job so from all the stress and everything else i have not been sleeping properly so she said that could be the reason they have slowed down. I just have to relax and not stress to much so the scales will move a bit quicker for me. Sorry to have a little rant but i hope that it helps me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks Purple Lady |

Ranting is good and healthy, so don't apologise for that, pretty lady! Stress in any shape or form will certainly slow your losses down significantly. For me, even just being out of my normal routine would slow it down. It will come off though, don't you worry!
Also, you're getting close to the end and you might be getting anxious to finish the diet, and the 'so close yet so far' feeling seems to slow people down loss-wise as well. It certainly did for me! Stay strong and keep smiling, pretty lady! There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel!

Morning,
It is a beautiful day and even better when the scales are going down. I had a bit of a hiccup there a couple of weeks back for some reason but i seem to be back on track now. I can now see that refeed is near and am excited about the next step in this wonderful journey and can't wait. I am excited about having to go shopping for some new winter clothes. Have a great day everyone, Thanks Purple Lady |

Hi PurpleLady,
Welcome to the "Normal BMI range" (that almost slipped by didn't it? Lucky I was watching ) And just one more Size to go till refeed (~6.3Kg) - so where will THAT leave you? Size 10? Size 8? Maybe a combo - many are like 10 hips, 8 top - or vice versa. In the end it doesn't matter - as long as it's where YOUR body is meant to be Good work, girl - not far to go now (refeed near end of May perhaps?) Koh

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone started their refeed before they reached their goal weight or do you have to get there first. My clinic said to have my blood test that is due on the 18th and then i will probably start refeed after that. Can't wait. Can't wait for the next part of this journey. Thanks' Purple Lady |

Hi PL,
Crank on, girl !! These last 3 or 4 weeks are NOTHING in the grand scheme of things - especially if spending that time will "settle you down for the rest of your life". Quote:

You've done good things for you, PL - and I'm sure you know it. Just don't "cut and run" too quick. Andy46 had a REALLY good quote for someone (somewhere). He said "If you are draining the bad stuff out of a water tank, you want to drain it ALL - you don't leave the last 10cms of dirty water in it, then refill it !!!" Made sense to me at a practical level. Rock on, girl - refeed is coming SOON !!! Hang in there, Koh

Hi Purple Lady!
Wow, you have done so well! Congratulations on a terrific job! You are so close now! I started refeed at 65kgs and my top goal weight was 62kgs. My weight was just not shifting anymore and I did not have a blood test due, so my consultant checked with the Dr and then ordered my refeed. Starting refeed was the best thing for my weight, as I then I finished refeed around 64.5kgs. At one stage I dropped a whole kg, but it stablised to the 64kg mark. I was happy with that! I'm sure your body will tell you when you are ready (and consultations with your consultant will also help). Exciting stuff! You have done so well to come this far and I'm so happy to see you enter refeed land too! Vee |
