Hi M&N
To keep a track of "special folk" you are watching, go to the thread tool up the near top of the page, click through until you have added a subscription. It will tell you how many threads you are following. Then when you sign on/login - go into your User CP (top right) and your subscribed thread are all in there (include your own). Hope this makes sense....just rushing to get dinner in before going to see the Musical Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. LB x

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Bummer with the scales, but do you measure? That might give you a boost?
I am with Mark - keep your shark in NZ. I reckon it is all exported because NZ has sooo much better fish - snapper (which is different from Australian snapper) Hoki, terakihi, John dory.... Used to catch these with my dad as a kid and eat them fresh!! Best fish I have ever tasted though was on our honeymoon in Fiji - Walu. Absolutley divine done on the BBQ with a bit of seasoning (we used sweet chilli sauce at the time but obviously couldn't ATM) the scales will be sorted soon, hang in there.... |

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Thanks Jlou and Panda, it was upsetting at the time but the worst will be finished tomorrow with the challenge weigh in because it could look like a gain depending if I haven't lost enough this week to cover the scale mistake, or at least my mental adjustment of what I thought the weight on the "fill in" scale should be.Anyway I am over it now and tomorrow will sort it out.
Yes I do measure and I always have a loss so that is great and I do the "Measure Motivator" It is the best ! Thanks for telling us about that. |

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Well no matter what weight on the new scales say you have still lost the same amount of weight, just means your start weight was higher, and your achievements so far a brilliant, nothing to be sneezed at that's for sure. You are a superstar

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Mumandnana - dont worry about the silly scales, that is only one way of tracking losses, AND it can discourage you if you let it. Your clothing is a great guide, how you feel within when you know you are now taking control and moving towards healthy life choices. Your measurements are great indicators so keep your chin up. If you are staying on program just know it is working - cause COHENS works. Narelle

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Hi M&N,
Thought I would come and visit you at you place. I read what you posted in my diary yesterday..... so we are about the same height. Wow I have always thought that you goal weight was tremendously lower than mine. I couldn't imagine even trying to get to 50kg let alone 47kg's I would be just all bone. Even now I am starting to wander whether 55kg's might be too low. I had originally set my target at 57kgs then changed it, because I did get dwon to 55kg's the first time I lost all my weight on Cohens. I wouldn't worry about the clothes size. I am pants that range between size 8 -12 and as for the tops I am wearing things between size 8 -14/16 it just depends. Sizes today just aren't standard. Yes I am very please that I only have 8kg's to go, and I met the small goal I had for myself this week which was to have lost 19kgs which I have done. I would so like this all done by my birthday which is at the end of May which is 6 weeks away. Not sure if I will get there but I will certainly be trying. I know that you have had a set back this week because of your scales but the cm's are coming off and that is the most important bit. you will knock us all over next week with your weight loss. I am really enjoying this forum, and you sertainly make it a nice place to visit. Bern |

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Hi M&N
Hope all is well in your world. I will start a thread to see how many kiwis are in the preverbial woodwork. I'll post to you through your diary - just in case we are cutting out the kiwis by PM "ing"?? Off to Hanmer for the weekend (dog in the back plus the cat who roams loose in the car, so it's the passengers task to keep the cat off the driver!!). My dear cat often visits me when I am on the computer and he is responsible for pushing some keys!! He makes me seem a bad speller at times LB x (and O Jay....ginger & white cat - named after O J Simpson, because when I got him as a kitten he was only on trial!!)

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Hi Deelight, you have aptly named yourself for you are a delightful person,so kind and encouraging.Thank you for your uplifting thoughts, you are right about them. I loved your shouting from the rooftops ( so to speak ) yesterday that" COHENS WORKS ! " That was great and very true.
Hi Bern, thanks for coming to " visit " me I will just let my body know when to stop but my frame is small,I just packed a lot onto it I googled clothes sizes and there does seem to be a standard but I guess those who make clothes can please themselves. Congratulations on achieving your small goal and it does seem possible that you will make the weight goal by your birthday but even if it is not to be you will be soooo close and like Koh says people cannot guess your weight, they don't know if there are a few kilos one way or another. You will look so slim and beautiful. Today I have to do the first of a two part course on safe 4 wheeler driving so I will be a bit later than usual in posting the challenge results.I try to copy and paste but so far have failed so it is slow for me to type everything out as I am hopeless at typing I have ridden a 4 wheeler for about 30 odd years but to get certain jobs now you need "THE TICKET !" Hi Ladybird, Yes that is a good idea about the Kiwi thing and have a great weekend at Hanmer,it is beautiful there. Will you go in the hot pools? Maybe they will help you with some weight loss All the best everyone. |

Re: Mumandnana's diary
Eeek hot pools - not a pretty sight in "togs" and all those young bodies coupling up - I thnk I have past my prime, but they do great coffee (and hot chips.........).
We have a home up there so it is a regular retreat and I just love it - all that alpine air and walking the forests - great for the soul and for thinking time, not to mention the glorious colours of the autumn leaves. I thought that I starting a "Calling aLL KIWIS" thread and submitted it but I can't find it???? Maybe they need to be approved? If you can't find it do you want to have a go at starting soimething over the weekend. Have a great one in the deep south before the weather changes. LB x
