Well done AJ that is great about the loss !! Good to hear your father is getting out of hospital too ... Hope that all goes well ... Old age is just cruel .. can we just say we aren't going to get old .. hmmm

Thanks for your support in my little princess moment yesterday .. I checked my biorythyms this morning .. and funnily enough .. I have negative intellect (and logic) .. and HIGH emotion !! Well .. so pretty much on the mark really .... fluid is gone now ... so next time I won't freak so much.

Enjoy your wonderful relaxing day today !! You deserve it !!

Stoddy, you reminded me that I meant to put something about biorhythms in my diary this morning and forgot. I noticed at the gym last week that I wasn't doing as many repetitions in the 30 seconds per machine as usual, although I felt that I was working as hard as I usually did. Checked my biorhythms and found that physical was in the low phase. Yesterday I was doing slightly better than my average, checked biorhythms again and found physical is approaching it's peak. I'm beginning to give these biorhythms more credence now.

Well, AE, from where I'm sitting it makes a nice change to have you jealous of my losses instead of the other way round. Don't worry, it's either fluid (most likely) or new muscle. If it's the former it will go, if it's the latter, that's why you're at the gym.

AJ

My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Just catching up after being MIA this week AJ - and WOW!! Look at you! You're just doing so well, am so chuffed for you!

I just checked out that biorhythms chart and was a bit frustrated to see that I'm going to be low on everything until the 27th of June at least! Bummer.

Take care and keep doing what you're doing

Hi AJ

Your ticker keeps sliding on down, well done. I'm having a rest day today as well. I think it's important especially while doing Cohen's.

Hello dearest, lovely miss AnnaBella!!!!

Thank you for posting in my diary... and still keeping up with me...

How is your father? I'm sending him all good thoughts from here...

I checked that biorythm site and nothing good for me coming, so I thought - nah, it's not truth...but you said it works?
You are good that you go to the gym. I was literally couch potato most of the diet. I mean, except the daily things I HAD to do...

Just wanted to send you some good vibrations and hugs...

My NYF Diary
Default Day 3, Week 24

Up 100 gms today. not unexpected given my big drop yesterday. Still feeling pleased about that. I did have a quiet day yesterday, went out for a walk in the afternoon, and got caught in the only light shower in a day that continually threatened showers. I'm amazed at how well I can now manage the steep bits where I used to have to stop and take a rest. Today we are going to Melbourne and visiting various family members including my father.

Last night I cooked a chicken stirfry and added curry powder, something my husband requested when I asked him how he'd like the chicken cooked. His serve was bigger than mine, and I added a few cashews for him. As he was eating it he commented that he hoped I would continue cooking the same meals when I finished as he is loving this food. I'm not going to have any excuse for adding the weight back on when I finish.

I have attached the chart of my losses since I started. This is mainly for the benefit of anyone who is concerned because they have gained a couple of hundred grams on one day. The blue line is my projected loss at a rate of 1.05 kgs a week, the pink line shows my actual daily weights.

Thanks for calling by, BFG, LouLou, shell, Kelly, Sheree, Maya, Louise and Andy.

Good to see you back again, BFG, and so close to goal now. I think the secret with the biorhythms chart is to look at it after the event and see if it matches, rather than letting it depress you because it says you should be down. I've never had much faith in something that is supposed to have been regular since my birth, but am finding now that it is matching how I feel when I check after the event. The days to watch apparently are the ones where it crosses the centre line. That's when you are likely to have accidents, make bad decisions, etc.

I agree about rest days, LouLou. The less stress of any kind, the better our bodies are able to get rid of the fat. Stress brings out the fat building hormones.

Good to see you again, Kelly, and hope you can get bubs off to sleep so you can get back here more often.

I checked back, shell. It has happened a few times before. I've had 4-5 700 gm losses, a couple of 800 gm losses and one 900 gm loss, all from the previous low, not after a rise. I can feel during the week that I've lost weight, but not see it on the scales, then it seems to happen all at once.

Thanks, Sheree. You're off to a good start. Soon it becomes a way of life.

Good to see you back again Maya. I get more exercise than usual just reading about the daily things that you get done. I started going to the gym only because the rest of the time I barely move at all. I don't have to travel to work, I don't walk around an office, and I feel I should be moving a little more than I normally do. My main exercise is walking from my chair to the toilet and back. The gym is pretty low level stuff, designed to tone rather than provide strenuous exercise. I want to go for a walk each day, but don't seem to fit it in. My scientific mind has trouble believing in biorhythms, but sometimes it seems to fit. But then, so does astrology. As I said to BFG, use it to confirm how you are feeling rather than letting it predict how you will feel.

Yes, I'm usually up late reading diaries, Louise. I don't get up until 8:30 anyway, and if I go to bed too early I find I'm awake for a couple of hours around 3-4 and onwards.

Love that heading, Andy. Yes, definitely getting there. I'm taking pleasure in looking at those numbers on my ticker that tell me how much I've done and how much to go as the difference gets larger. Loving feeling my bones too.

Have a lovely day everyone. The clouds and drizzle have cleared here and it looks like being a lovely day.

AJ

Hey there AJ,

I looked at your chart and thought 'you know AJ is really getting pretty consistent results despite seeming to be all over the shop' . But I am sure you already know that

Well done on the big loss yesterday, and as you know your body and it's reactions so well, you know you will drop todays 100 and then some soon.

Thanks for popping into my diary AJ especially as there are so many now.

Have a great Sunday, hope your melbourne visit went really well.

Connie

I hope you have a lovely day in Melbourne, its drizzled all day here. Gotta say it, well done on the loss. Your graph does help put it all back in perspective.
Look forward to meeting you, does Wednesday still suit, I could do Tues or maybe wait until school holidays next week when I'll be free all day, that may suit some others.

Hi AJ

I was happy to hear about your nice 700g loss the day before yesterday!
I also hope you had a lovely trip to Melbourne and that your father is doing better! I had to smile about your DH wanting you to continue with cohen's food even after you are finished, that surely is, as you say, a good way of keeping your weight in control! What a wonderful support and idea!

Your ticker is looking so good with that weight just coming off and the figures for goal getting smaller and smaller!! That must feel so good!

AJ, good to hear that you dad is out and back at the hostel. I actually have a policy that I treat my resi's like I would my grandparents. Saying that sometimes the ones with awful dementia behaviors give me the willies but I don't treat them any differently, I go blow off steam in teh kitchen...LOL.
Thanx for your support. I'm selling red noses until 3pm in Market Square Wednesday, so any time after that is fine with me. We could do gloria jeans at Newcomb Central if you like.

Hi Aj

it's great to be able to stay in bed in the morning especially in winter, 8.30 am is a very civilised time. I enjoy working evenings for many reasons and one of them is I never have to set an alarm. Unfortunately my husband has to get up earlier than me so I don't get quite as much sleep as I'd like but I still love staying in bed while he has a shower. I get up so we can have breakfast together, it's the only meal of the day we get to share. But this morning we stayed in bed till after 9am. Anything later than that and i start worrying about the timing of my meals! No brunches on Cohens!

x
