Week 10 Day 5

Hey SMS...thanks for checking in. I am for sure still hanging in there...with no deviations thankfully. My progress is pretty slow compared to most of the others on here but I'm still happy with it. I have about 6 kg to go and I cant wait for re-feed and to start my new life with Cohen's Maintenance. Probably another few weeks and I will be ready.

I have been on keeping up to date with many of the diary's...really tough to keep up with all the new people.

I see you are doing quite well with your pony race...keep up the good work.

Have a great day,

Cindy

Hi Cindy. It's so nice to see your face again, and to hear you're still going well. Only 6kg to go - HOW EXCITING!!! That shouldn't take long at all - a month, two at the most. Woo hoo!!! Go Cindy, GO!

Week 11 Day 1

Well another uninspiring weight loss week for me...although i am happy of course to be going in the right direction

I'm going to be going out of town for two weeks in a couple of weeks and am a bit nervous that it will hinder my weight loss. I'm going to be staying in a hotel for about 7 days of the trip which is going to be a bit of a problem...but for the other part of the trip I will be staying at a house where I can make my own meals. I am going to try to prepare most of the stuff ahead of time since the hotel will have a microwave...then I can just heat things up. I'm really anxious to get started on re-feed and I was hoping to be ready not long after I get back from my trip. I'm 5.4 kg away from my goal.

I ripped off Hexi's Progress Report idea and made my own. I like that it's pretty easy to follow.

Progress to date

Week 1 2.3 kilos down
Week 2 1.8 kilos down
Week 3 1.0 kilos down
Week 4 1.2 kilos down
Week 5 1.1 kilos down
Week 6 1.6 kilos down
Week 7 .8 kilos down
Week 8 .8 kilos down
Week 9 .8 kilos down
Week 10 .7 kilos down

Total: 12 kilos

1st - 4th week- 6.3 kg loss
5th - 8th week- 4.3 kg loss
9th - 10th week- 1.4 kg loss (only 2 weeks)

Hey Cindy - yeh I definately agree with you on being out of the home environment is challenging...seems to upset the routine.

I am off to Melbourne tomorrow...2 hour flight there and 2 kids...10 days but I am lucky to be staying with my cousin, I am concerned about the temptation of having some alcohol...FOR SURE situations, certain people you know how it goes...

At least we know we won't go silly if you know what I mean and yeh maybe there will be some slowed weightloss the importance I think in these situations is NOT to put on the weight...as we can look forward to rapid loss when back on the program...

I may be JUST strong enough to resist - I HOPE

HI

12kgs in 10 weeks is such a good overall result. I am still in week 2, havent weighed myself in week two yet, but I sure hope I can achieve what youve done.

That will put me right on track to loose my weight and be on refeed or finished, (dont really know how long it takes) by my birthday in August.

Seeing the kilos week by week in this format you can really see the downwards sprial... I am so impressed...

Hey Hexi,

I know you will be strong enough to resist the temptations (I know being with family can cause quite a bit of stress)...there is no way you could have gotten this far this quick if you weren't incredibly strong...and you are. No deviations this whole time (except of course the accidental ones). When you feel like you want to do something "bad" come online and we will get you through it.

On my trip I will be with my mother and sister...we all get along really well but we have always been happy to eat poorly together...this scares me too. But they have all been so supportive of what I am doing that I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I'm so worried about deviating because I have no place to prepare my foods.

I know you will get through it and I will too. We have come too far to ruin it now...we are sooo close. Can you believe it???

Have a great trip. Be strong. I think you will be home right before I leave. I'm going on March 27th. Looking forward to hearing updates from you while you are away.

Cindy

Hey, Cindy, glad your hanging tight and the pound's keep coming off. Wow! only 5+ kg to go. Must be a good feeling. The thought that I've lost 32 lbs in just 9 weeks is boggling to the mind.

On your trip, cans of Tuna can definitely be your friends and deviation saver!

You go girl!

Week 11 Day 2

Well today I'm down .3kg...that is very good for me. I haven't had any weight movement in the last few days so I was thrilled when I got on the scale today

SMS...you are so right about the canned Tuna...I try to not eat too much of it because of the mercury levels but I think I am going to have to splurge while I am away...it happens to be one of my favorite meals. I chop up 1/2 a tomato and some onion and mix it in with the tuna along with the 1 tsp of lowfat mayo and some dill weed...and usually have it over a bed of spinach. The tomato and bit of mayo makes it nice and moist. Now I'm getting hungry.

Hexi...I totally get your concern about the alcohol. If you end up having a few sips here and there it might not be too bad. Don't beat yourself up about it. If you are good with the rest of the stuff then you will probably end up coming home down or at worst the same as before you left...like Irene. That wouldn't be too bad...right? Have a great time.

Thanks Vee for popping in...looking forward to your journey.

Hope everyone has a great Cohen's friendly day.

Cindy

Thanks for posting your weekly results, Cindy. You're one week ahead of me, and our results week by week are very similar. I think I'll start to do the same. It's really reassuring for me to be able to look at someone else's results and see that they slowed down around the same weeks I did, so I might help others if I also up my weekly results up too.

I often have tuna with salad for lunch, sometimes mixed with chopped vegetables and cooked with water. Your mix sounds delicious. I'll try it sometime soon (not today, it's Cohen's pizza lunch day).

Enjoy reading your updates Cindy - you go girl!

Some tips on travelling and Cohen's food from my experience - if you are eating out try ordering a steak (if you order a flashy cut it usually is quite small) with no sauce and a salad - no dressing. Then just eat about the amount you would (approximately) if it was a Cohen's meal. Another trick I used when we went to a cafe/bakery was to order a salad roll - hold the roll. Just get them to serve the salad ingredients in a plastic container and maybe some roast chicken or a bit of tuna. That was my strategy last time, anyway.

Don't worry about the slowing results, remember it is all cyclical.

Keep up the good work!

I hope you have another good drop tomorrow
How are your measurements going, down (or in ) I hope.
My 5.1kg will put me at my top end of goal weight, bottom end is 58kg!! OMG I don't know where that will come from!!
I am focussing on top end at the moment, then will see how I am travelling.
Have a great day

Week 11 Day 4

Down 300g today. Happy day.

Only 4.7kg to go. Re-feed here I come.

Shell...I too am going for the high end of my range...which is 66kg. Once I get there I can decide if I want to go for more based on how I feel and look. I haven't really done my measurements in a while...I guess I should but I got pretty confused with where I measured to begin with so it's a bit off...no matter really.
