Hi Caro! A belt, hey! Well done!

Your food sounds soooo good - I'm going to steal some ideas from you!

Yes, people are funny/strange/confused in their reactions to weightloss and you will experience their different views - only the true ones will be with you at the end. Soon many will start telling you that you've lost enough! I'm sure you'll find the best way for you to deal with all this - just be prepared because it will happen.

You rock!

Hi Caro

A belt! Fabulous!!! I am an accessories girl and love belts!!! Soon you may even enjoy using the belt to show off your shrinking waistline too!!!
I have my eye on a great belt too and plan on getting it by Friday. I want to wear it with jeans and this will mean no LONG top but top tucked in to show off waist (AND belt). I'll be thinking of you if I make it! It's a reward and I think I'll feel it's a reward shared (in some way.....as you have been a support to help me get there!!)

I am feeling a LOT better. In fact I have a sensing of the Zone approaching as I have managed to be deviation free for a (short) while (OMG) and feel a lot more in control. I am seriously scared though as I know that I often sabotage myself at this stage. So treading VERY carefully......

You are doing SOOOOO well! Isn't it funny how people (some 'friends') seem to want the best for you, but don't cope well when you start to lose weight, look great and keep going. I think it's something we all (or most of us) want - self control and discipline is so hard to sustain and it's an envy I think when others seem to be achieving success. The envy may then turn to jealousy as they start to feel threatened by your success and hence tell you 'it's enough already' or 'oh come on.....you can afford to eat this cake now, you've lost so much weight' etc.
You be true to yourself - keep the focus and those who are sincere will support you all the way.

Well done.

Jade

So today I posted in the clothing exchange, two pairs of work pants will be ready to go by the weekend and I'm happy to post them to anyone who wants to rehouse them, one navy, one black, taken up by about 1 inch because I am shorter than Rockmans would have me believe and I'm still shorter than the size 14's....who comes up with their leg lengths............

I surprised myself today and caught sight of my reflection in the window at work while I was on the phone...my comment "Hey I look pretty good" (lucky I was on the phone to the SO at the time - his comment "Uh I know") got me thinking.....

When I look in the mirror I can tend to see the things that are not so positive, lots more to lose, bit flabby, still big, but doing ok and really changing.............so I guess we should all catch sight of ourselves by "accident" and see ourselves how the rest of the world sees us..........

I hope you can all catch sight of yourselves................Caro

Yes - you are totally right Caro - the accidental catch in the mirror is the one we need - it shows us the way we are!

I'm glad you like what you see at the moment. Of course there is room for improvement - you have 25kg+ to go and the changes will be tremendous! You don't want them too soon though - let your head catch up with your body!

I'm happy for you!

We had dinner with a friend last night, SO had bought KFC home from a trip, they ate chicken and beer and I had chicken breast and salad.............and inhaled deeply over the KFC bucket, usually the potato and gravy gets me in..... but this time nothing, nada, zip no craving.......110grams of salad is huge though and I really did wonder how I was going to get through that!!!!!

On the way home SO complimented me on not giving in to the KFC, he said he was proud of me!!!!!!!!!!! So I confessed and let him know that I could have ripped a piece of chicken out of his hand and sniffed all the flavour out of it..........he laughed and said now I'm not proud, I'm bloody amazed at your dedication..............and promised not to bring KFC home again............

Oh and my belt, no halfway hole needed at all!!! But still trying to find a home for the work pants, they are just too good to go to our local vinnies!

Dinner tonight - Steamed cabbage rolls!

Minced steak - still loving that - finely chopped spinach, wombok, mushroom, celery and coriander, bit of garlic powder, chilli, allspice and tumeric, mix together by hand.

Soften two wombok (chinese cabbage) leaves in the microwave and cut out the hard centre stalk leaving a nice squarish leaf, roll handful of mince mixture into log shapes and place at the base of the leaf and roll tucking in sides as you go, toothpick the leaf and put into the cute mini bamboo steamer that has been taking up room in the cupboard and steam for about 15-20 minutes to cook mince.

I am feeling a little under motivated this evening so I wanted a pick me up and that was it, tomorrow is new clothes day where I break out the next size down!!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets some RnR!!! Take care and be nice to yourselves!.....Caro

Wow, it was a clothing frenzy, it started with the work pants and shirts and just spread like wildfire, so I had to get tough and go with a one in one out policy (for everything that went into the wardrobe something had to go) and boy was it great. I got rid of a lot of things that I had because they fit, not because I really liked them! You know what I mean........I think I was just used to them.

And tuna dip (thankyou Rora) on crackers for lunch OMG - blended tuna, capsicum, chilli, coriander, mushroom, tad of mayo and a splash of balsamic - so much dip, this one is going to be a post cohen regular at casa del caro! The SO loved it too........

So now to curl up on the couch with the saturday movie and a good book!!

Ahhhh, curling up on the couch to watch a movie, nothing beats that does it! Except we have a really crappy sofa here at my house so I end up bringing out nearly all my bedding just to be comfy hehehe. SO looks at me and just laughs. Enjoy your time out Caro, your doing so well and we often forget to just relax sometimes!

Congratulations on your great weight loss... over 14kg is great!

Look forward to checking in later.

Alana

Thanks everyone for dropping in to my diary and leaving such good feelings and thoughts..... you all rock and inspire me.....

Wow, what a day, a complete jammie day (where you stay in pj's all day) too lazy to get out of my own way, I did move a couple of times though - from bed to the couch, to the floor, to the hammock, back to the couch - all with my book (The Lacuna - Barbara Kingsolver)......love these days...........

Hope everyone's weekends were relaxing too!!!!

Default The quest for Caro!

Hey C-Jay,
Thanks for your posts in my diary, it is great that you pop by, thank you.
How exciting going through your wardrobe! I totally get the wearing what you have to because it fits, not because you like it. I'm still there buga, can't wait to be doing what you are, getting rid of everything I don't and never will fit in again. That will be a fun day. Well done for getting there. It wont be long and you'll have to have another clean out. Well done!
