So ... I've decided it's time to start getting rid of the larger clothes in my cupboard! How empowering is that?! I'm looking forward to rummaging through all the lovely clothes that I stored away in the hopes that one day I would be a smaller size again. It will also be nice to have an "expanded" wardrobe with more choices and less clutter.

A work friend is popping around this morning to drop his dog off (I am dog sitting while he is on leave) and while I was digging around looking for something half decent to wear I realised that so many of my half decent clothes were just hanging like sacks on me and looked awful! It is definitely time to purge myself of the old "sacks" lol.

Hi Louise,

That is so exciting! I had so much fun cleaning out my wardrobe.

In fact, all my old, favoourite skinny clothes are now too big too! I have had to buy a whole new wardrobe essentially. I keep getting in trouble with my husband for spending too much money

Hi S2BS,

Oh How exciting is that? I've been also thinking about doing the same thing, but I know it will take a good long weekend to do that.

You must be feeling amazing to have all of your clothes just hang off you now? What a great feeling. Have fun chucking out all your baggy clothes !!

Lol, I know what you mean about spending money on new clothes and I'm not even near goal yet! I think as we start feeling better about ourselves we have a new addiction to shopping because we know that whatever we try on is going to look good on us! For now though, all my "shopping" has been more like window shopping on the internet

I can only imagine what fun you're having AZ!

Cupboard Cleaning is the BEST!!!! I have become "sneaky" already... When I buy new stuff, I mix it in with my old stuff.... Like I'd wear a new dress, with an old cardigan.... Or buy similar jeans to the ones that are now too big Hubby hardly notices and if/when he does... I say... This is old thing? I used to wear it so often when I first got to goal, just rediscovered it hee hee! OOPS!

Enjoy every minute of it!!!!

Happy losing!!

I'm glad to know I'm not alone Soleil and SD! Lol, the things we do to "protect" our hubbies. I haven't worked it out but I am willing to bet that I probably spent more on chocolate/chips in the past few years than I did on clothes so buying new clothes at goal instead of the chocolates/chips for the months of being on Cohens will probably even things out

A lot of people seem to think that being on Cohens is expensive but I have to disagree. The portions are smaller so even though the food may be more expensive I think people underestimate how much is spent on junk food, not to mention the cost of bad health. Of course, the joining fee seems like a lot too but it's comparable with other weight loss programs especially when you consider that Cohens takes far less time but the others take much longer with fees being paid weekly. It adds up in no time.

Lol, rambling on this morning ... I'll put it down to dog sitting a pooch who is missing his master and being difficult to control and waking me up too early this morning... aah, why did I agree to this?! Oh, that's right, I thought the kids would enjoy having a dog around (they have begged for one for years) but they have all suddenly forgotten their desires and left me holding the leash.

Oh yes I absolutely agree with you, doing this program is not expensive at all when you add it all up. And althought it probably is a lot stricter than others, you are also quaranteed rapid losses in such a short time. And that is exactly what I wanted, to get rid of this bad stuff, in and out and in my head as soon as possible. Almost six weeks later I feel so, so, so much better already!

Me too I have spent so much money on chips and chocolates and now I kick myself thinking how silly I have been. All of that was just pleasure for the little while that the treat lasted for with a bad feeling afterwards. Wouldn't it be so much nicer to spend that money on ourselves, a new blouse, a massage, anything like that, and the feeling you would get from those is lasting and so much better in every way. So do keep an eye out for your new items whilst window shopping on the Internet, enjoy every bit of it, it tastes a whole lot better than chocolate doesn't it

On that note, I'm off to town kids free for a quiet cup of tea and to buy myself a new scarf or something

Soleil xx

PS. Had to laugh about the dog things! Kids! My husband just got back from an overseas work trip and brought my son his favourite cheese in the whole wide world. Anyway this morning he went to have it and went yuck, I don't like this cheese. Kids!

Ha ha, that's funny Soleil! Kids

I hope you enjoyed your tea and found a lovely scarf or something but most of all that you enjoyed your 'me' time. There's such value in taking care of ourselves.

It's Monday and weigh day Today when I first hopped on the scales my weight was 78.9 but when I hopped on a few minutes later to confirm the loss my weight was at 79.1 Anyway, I decided to go with the lower number lol. So, a loss of 1.1kg and it puts me firmly into the 70s! When I started this round of Cohens I had doubts about reaching the 70s again but time flies by and it feels like I haven't been back on plan long and all of a sudden the 70s are here! I love the way this program works ... just one meal at a time, one day at a time and I'll be at goal before I know it!

Fabulous losses!!!! I hate it when the scales play nasty little tricks on us! SO frustrating! My scales does its readings for only every 200g... So someday when I climb on it would flick between, for example, 60.2 and 60.4.... it will usually settle on the higher weight, and I presume its because it round's up.... So in my head I take it as 60.3 hahahaha.... Silly bugger!

Just keep going as you are going hun.... You are going to shake those last few kg's in record time and trust me when I tell you, its phenomenal the difference the last 5kg's makes! It's all SO worth while

HAPPY LOSING!!!!

Thank you for your visits and comments everyone <3 It's so nice to come into my diary and read all your words of wisdom and encouragement.

I was chatting to a work colleague yesterday and mentioned that I had lost weight and she was really sweet by being suitably impressed with how much I'd lost. I know that most people wouldn't be able to see how much weight we lose until we are super skinny and that doesn't bother me but it was nice to be able to share my weight loss with her. She doesn't have a problem with her weight and of course, we had been talking about all the yummy chocolates we like, lol. I find that chocolate is a huge addiction for me. I'm fine when I haven't had any for a while, like now, and I can resist eating it fairly easily but if I have just one taste that sets me on a chocolate binge for weeks! It's something I will have to watch in future.

Mmmmm chocolate.....

I love it too! But we won't have to miss out on it completely, just manage the beast that is our own craziness for the sweet treat!

It's wonderful when others notice you're looking so amazing, it really makes for a nice feeling afterwards.

Keep up the awesome work!

Hey S2BS.. Just a quick note on your choccie addiction.. Trust me, I am probably worse than you But what I found, is that when I first completed refeed and was maintaining really well, I use to eat a block of two (they are large blocks) of 70% Lindt choc every night after my carbs and my weight was never affected negatively.. Some days I would try splurge and have slightly more, but because the cocoa content is SO high, after a block or two, I was MORE than satisfied and would usually end up leaving "left overs"... Also the dark choc doesn't cause such a sugar high, causing your insulin levels to rise and by doing this AFTER eating a carb portion (as per maintenance rules) my body wouldn't respond by turning on the craving/binging taps
Maybe you should give that a try when all is said and done!

Otherwise you are doing so so well and just remember, some people are funny and would rather NOT comment about your weight loss, as it makes them feel self conscience about their own appearance... Funny creatures, we are!

HAPPY LOSING!!!!

AMAZZINGGG job S2BS !!!! You have reached the 70's. How great do you feel??

You must be looking fantastic too. I think we all have (or had should I say) a chocolate addiction. So can definitely relate to that. How did you go with chucking out all your old baggy clothes? I'm still yet to pick a weekend to do mine, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Have you gone shopping for new clothes yet?

Well done on your amazing losses.

Thank you for your visits and comments everyone. It makes my day when I see people have visited my diary and left comments - thank you all!

I found today tough going and had serious thoughts of deviating but I managed to keep myself busy and eventually they passed. It's not like I was hungry or anything although possibly a little miffed at stuff going on at home. I am definitely an emotional eater so perhaps that is why I was struggling. Anyway, I didn't give in and am so glad that I managed to stay deviation free.

Fantastic job on not giving in to those bad thoughts!!! Trust me, I know how persuasive they can try to be at times!!! Its so difficult, and trying to explain it to someone who has never been on Cohen's, let alone any restrictive diet, is an impossible feat!!!!

Hoping that your day today, is easier and that those devious whispers are no where near you today!

Happy losing and lots of blessings to you!!
