Thanks chicky pie. I don't think we can have lamb (I know I can't) but it's good to know for when we finish this journey. Luff ya. xxx

Unhappy Re: Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 25 - Friday 2nd July

So last night was a good night, caught up with a girlfriend for dinner at her place (byo for me!) and had a good chat which was nice. Started to feel flat as I left her place, and was nearly in tears cooking my lunch for today when I got home. Got mad at hubby b/c he didn't help me, oww, I'm such a sad sack at the moment...

I'm not feeling very well today, not sure exactly what the reason is, it might be a bit of anxiety at going to a family birthday tomorrow and seeing my family member and her children for the first time in months. Not sure how it's all going to go. Ugh...

I also feel really really tired, although I went to bed early last night, I still feel exhasuted. I have a headache and a sore neck. Might need to see the chiro again.

Thank goodness it's Friday, I need some time at home to get away from the world. It still surprises me how much I can turn from happy-go-lucky positive girl to miserable my-life-sucks negative girl.

I will pick myself up again and be back to normal, but today isn't a good day. Really feeling alone and unloved. Totally not an accurate assesment of my life at all, but that's how I feel... ok... I'm off to eat some worms....

Sammie - thanks so much for your msg. Means a lot. Think I might take your advice and get a massage or something.

Tomor. - omg. what a beautiful message. You gave me tears! On a day where you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, you have no idea how much the words 'you are in inspiration in more ways then one' means. Thank you for posting in my diary, and I want you to know you have really perked me up again.

Honestly, what would I do without this forum and without you all? Thank you guys.

Sweet DaisyChain, sorry you are having a bad one today mate. Hope it passes soon. I know how you feel, they come and go. Please don't ever feel unloved or alone coz you know we all love ya and we are always with each other in spirit. It's funny coz we don't even know each other but I really feel like we are in this together and can rely on each other for love, encouragement, support and a kick up the bum when we need it!

You offer so much of these things to everyone else - make sure you take some back for yourself from us!

I will be thinking of you at the birthday party - hope it's not too taxing on you. After that, a beautiful, nurturing, relaxing Sunday for you? Do something nice that you enjoy.

Sending lots of love your way my friend,

Indy xx

Smile Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 26 - Saturday 3rd June

Hi guys

Firstly, thank you so much for your wonderful messages. Your love and hugs made a yucky time much easier. Thanks again. xxx

Indy - thanks for thinking of me today muffin. That's so thoughtful. It was ok, very hurtful that my cousin ignored me, but that's her so I shouldn't expect any more. My little girls were a bit strange at first, but eventually warmed up and then wanted to know when they could come and stay with us on their holidays. I'm not sure with the way things are if they will be able to, but I'll never give up on trying to see them so we'll see how things go.

When I got home I had a bit of a cry about it all, then decided to do something constructive so I went and put away all my washing etc. I also did a mini clean out of my wardrobe, and in the process tried on one of my fav suits from a few yrs ago. I decided it was finally time to let it go, but for interest sake tried it on first. Well... that certainly cheered me up! It's a size 14 and the jacket was loose! I was amazed!! Haven't been able to fit into that suit for a while, I'm not a size down as yet though - as I think it depends on the fit of the clothes, but in that particular suit it appears it's back on the 'in' pile and will be getting a work out soon!

That put a smile back on my face again, and reminded me that it's important to make yourself happy first, then try to make others happy. I am so focussed on everyone else sometimes I forget about me... and really... that's how I ended up so overweight I think. It's easier to just put the hard work into other things or other people, not anymore.

Anyways. Time to go I think, this diet makes me tired so much earlier now and it's sleepy-sleep time. Again, thank you all for caring, you rock my world guys!

WTG Daisy Chain - how exciting about your suit!! I remember that feeling well. I wore my size 14's to death and by the time I went to try on 12's they were too big too!! Make sure you try some 12's you may shock yourself and ALREADY fit into the majority.

Bet you can't wait til Tuesday now (me, I can't understand how you can stay off the scales this long, even to have a sneak peak - your a better Cohenite than me lol). Well done.

Now ... dont forget to smile this week and maybe even try to laugh so hard you nearly wet yourself - it's great for weightloss apparantly!!

Hey DC

Yay for size 14 suits! I am still a looooong way off size 14, but so excited about getting there!

Sucks to hear that you've had some down times recently. I think we've all been there, the end seems so far away and you feel a bit isolated cause you can't join in the same sort of socialising everyone else does... Thankfully, it passes really quickly. Chin up, buttercup (daisy cup?), you'll be standing in the sunlight again soon.

Day 28 - Monday 5th July

Good morning fellow Cohenites and friends, I hope that you are all going well today. It's Monday again, which means that we all survived another weekend... phew...

Yesterday I definately discovered a pattern that I'm going to have to try and break, Sunday's are by far the worst day for me on this program. When I think back, every Sunday has involved at least one cry and one argument with my hubby (over nothing) or getting grumpy with him/others.
I'm not exactly sure what it is about Sundays, but something makes me feel terrible. I'm so moody and even though I know I'm doing it I can't pull myself out of it.

Yesterday we went out to the movies, as I thought not being at home would help - but it didn't - I took my orange cut up in a container to eat, and got a diet sprite, hubby brought himself clinkers and was trying to buy a choc-top ice-cream but the line was too long and he couldn't. I was really angry at him. Stupid I know. He's sitting next to me munching and crunching on chocolate, THEN leans over to talk to me and I got this chocolate breath in my face! Grrr... I was SO angry.
I really shouldn't have been, it's his choice what he eats, and in my head I know that he is 100% better than he was before I went on Cohens. He's lost weight and doesn't have sweets etc at home anymore, but I was just angry, and of course big mouth me told him so.

If others around me eat foods that I can't have it doesn't worry me as much as when he does. I feel like before I did this he agreed that although he didn't want to do it with me, he'd support me no matter what, and when he still has fish and chips or chocolates when we're out it makes it hard.

I need to take a chill-pill I know, but I'm so bl**dy emotional at the moment I can't control it! Anyway, we talked things out and he was sorry as if the roles were reversed he wouldn't be strong enough to sit next to me eating choc. without eating some.

So today I'm feeling better again, back on track and happier than I was this weekend. I've decided that for this Sunday I'm going to not let myself get into this slump. Friday night I'm going to do all my shopping and weighing so I'm not stuck doing it all Sunday. I'm also going to make plans to catch up with some friends so I'm not at home. We'll see how that goes.

Tom., BB, Jazzi & Sammie - thanks heaps for your messages guys, love the support and love that I'm getting - keeps me going!

Have a lovely day all

DC

Hey Sweetheart. One think you'll notice as you head along your way is that there seem to be certain things most of us go through - at certain times things seem to happen. Like deviation dreams! Don't know why we have them, but we do.

When you're an emotional person (both hands up for me) it can get to you a little more than normal and when you've got family 'stuff' happening it can be hurtful. It also seems to exacerbate other situations too.

I'm glad you were able to speak with hubby about the food issue. Being rational and knowing why these things effect us is important, as long as we translate in a constructive manner. Sounds like hubby is a great guy though huh?

You're doing soooo well! Am assuming that you haven't changed your ticker as you're waiting for your 4 week appt??? How excited are you about finding out how much you have lost?

You're doing great and you should hold your head up high! Oh, and you're correct, lamb is NOT allowed.

Hey DC - I love reading all about your journey. Your lovely hubby must be struggling himself and lets be honest the lovely men in our lives sometimes just forget how easily somethings can affect us all. Was great that you were able to sit down and talk about it. I am sure he will keep trying

Anyway what movie did you go and see - hope you at least enjoyed that part?

I think next weekends plans work for you - doing up all zip lock bags and weighs so you can go out with friends. A nice long black and a gossip always brightens any day, maybe have a wonder round the shops with a girlfriend and try on clothes in the next size down (not to buy LOL) but just to see how the weight and measurements are dropping. So much fun...

Have a lovely Monday x
