Hi

Thanks for all your congrats and support andrea, ailsa, mark, Lb, Jazz, CJ.

Not feeling quite so upbeat today. Think it is a combination of things; end of a busy week back at work, sore throat coming on and a big naughty D last night which always happens when I am put under pressure to refuse food when others are eating. Really thought I had prepared mentally and physically before I went out but somehow I couldn't cope with the scrutiny of others if I kept saying 'no' to everything on offer and eventually I caved.

Dissapointed with myself but know that its just an area to work on for me and don't have any problems continuing on programme 100% today. I am going to start studying for an exam soon so it might be easier to use that as an excuse to limit socialising for the next few months.

Am also aware that other things are starting to creep in and push Cohens out of the number one priority slot which is NOT GOOD. Busy busy this weekend but will try and put some time aside on Sunday to re focus and plan for the week ahead. Will need to be super organised if I want to keep up with the 20kg girls!!

I can and I WILL do this

ff

Ditto for me too! What you have achieved so far is amazing, and you did that no one else. That 13.6Kg loss is down to you and no one can take that away. Everyone can have a blip, you just have to look at what you have achieved and keep moving forward!

Hey FF,

Look at you go! Congratulations, it's a great achievement to have lost such a huge amount of weight.

You just keep your head down and bum up (hehe I love that saying - reminds me of mum in the tupperware cupboard looking for something that she will never find) and you will be nearing refeed sooner than you think. Stay strong, don't give a hoot what others think of you saying 'no' to foods that will be a deviation. You are totally worth it!

It gets really hard to say 'no' to everything after a while you begin to feel soo deprived, but at least it's not forever and the sooner we get there the sooner we can start saying yes occationally!

Thanks for your comments in my dairy you are soo lovely!

You can do it, FF!

Best of luck with your exam study, I'm sure you'll do brilliantly. Don't beat yourself up too much over the big ugly D, like you said you can get yourself back on track no worries.

HAve just read your entire diary, ff! You're doing so well to keep getting back on the bus. Sometimes I think it has driven off and left me behind but no, it's always at the bus stop where I fell off. Just as long as we keep getting back on we can do this.
I too am concerned about maintenance. I'm sure it'll be OK then to slip or overindulge sometimes just not for a fortnight at a time (like I did!) What you're doing now will be easily manageable in maintenance as long as Cohen's foods make up your basic meal plans most of the time.
Keep up the great work. Freddie would be so proud of you.

Day 2 of REFOCUS and feeling that good head space coming back. Was a bit cravy (or crazy) yesterday but hardly suprising given the pancreas has prob had the equivalent of ECT at the weekend.

My lowest point of the day has to be trying to feed master 2 his dinner at about 5 pm. He is a bit under the weather at the moment and eating like a sparrow and his creamy pasta looked and smelt so good!!! My normal tactics of 'one spoon for mummy' clearly are null and void now so he gets about 5 mins to decide if he wants to eat anything, if not it goes straight into the dog. Am I a baaaad mummy .

Had to miss my second counselling session and a haircut yesterday to stay at home with aforementioned sickly child so was a bit peeved about that. I have been seeing a guy who calls himself an 'intuitive therapist' and is like totally amazing. Think he will make quite a bit of money out of me but I really feel its worth it . We began to talk in our first session about being told I was fat as a child and never feeling like I was 'good enough' as a result. Will be good to explore that further and help me understand my relationship with food.

Hubby being extremely lovely and supportive at the moment although he asked me last night why I didn't just maintain where I am at now (he has never known me any slimmer). Tried to explain that I want to see this through to goal to give myself the best chance of staying slim and healthy in the long run. Not sure I could cope with any more amorous attention further loss might incur - Oh the hardships!

Anyhoo, back to work, just felt like having a bit of a waffle and to say big respeck to all you beautiful people who give me so much support.

- that ones for Ladybird!

You rock!!!! A bad mummy doesn't supply food at all, so you're still on the right side and I bet the dog loves has the same opinion! And loving the increased amourous attention you deserve it!

Hi FF – I hope you + child are well.

It is soo cold in Sydney, I can only imagine how freezing it is down there! Keep warm and feel happy.

I’m glad you are doing the mental stuff as well as Cohen’s – I think they will work very well together.

Take care!

Hi everyone

Thanks for stopping by and leaving messages. It means so much that other people are sharing this with me. I have no idea how others do the diet without the daily re affirmations this forum supplies. (and the opportunity for a few smiles and giggles helps )

CJ - you're right. I think I should be more worried about what I am doing to the dog that to the child lol. Heading out for walkies in the park after this post!

Jazzi - I think doing this programme AND looking after kids is pretty tough. But hey, we're doing it and they will be the ones who benefit in the long run so its all good.

LB - fat dogs that don't trample mud, shed hair, chew shoes and generally make the house smell like the SPCA?!

WSM - your posts make me laugh - lots! Glad to be able to return some of the happy vibes

Shuki - I know unless I do the mind stuff all of this will be in vain. I realise that none of my weight issues have a jot to do with will power. I have been too proud to ask for help in the past but have gotten over that now. I NEED help, and inspiration from people such as yourself is all part of that. Thank YOU!!

Bumble - The kiwi men are, for the most part, quite a hunky looking bunch but you have to balance that against a primitive drive to talk exclusively to other men and drink jugs of beer. Hmmm . Safer to stay where you are and wait for them to start queuing up at the door which is going to start happening v. soon I suspect. Waiting for update on waterboy!

Kenga -Master 2 is bouncing off the walls again. Oh joy! I thought I wasn't going to be affected by the Cohens coldies but as I sit here typing my fingers are freezing and my toes are icies despite being tucked up in Uggs. Brrr.

Better get going for that walk I was talking about.

Catch you later.

ff
