Thats really bizarre, we are allowed to have Diet pepsi diet coke, Coke zero, fanta orange and fanta lemon you cant get diet sprite over here or diet 7up, so it isnt on my list. No caffeine restrictions it only says that if you drink more than 8 cups of coffee a day it sould be decaff, the way the coffe is over here I would be bouncing off the walls with 3 cups.

hrmmmm. After a fair amount of time spent off-line and still no-one has popped in to encourage thyself. Bummer.

Oh well, I was always doing this myself anyway.

Not going too badly. Slow but steady.

Goodnight Diary.

Hi Kim,

Just wondering if 63kg is the top range or lower range of your goal weight? You are so close to goal yourself. I'm actually 4.3kg from my top range weight but I intend to push down further. So, both of us may just hit refeedland together! The chance is certainly there. Go go go gal, hope to be on refeed together with you and carrieanne.

Hi Flamie

Thanks for stopping by.

I am not too sure what you mean by top or bottom range of goal weight. 63kgs was the goal weight that my clinic set me up with, so I have just been aiming for that. Does this answer the question?

Let me know, cheers
Kim

Hi all again

All is going well. Slowly but surely I will win this race to the end.

I have been travelling ok and have been saving more of my crackers and fruit for in between meals to get me through the hunger. 100grams overnight is still a loss regardless, and will continue to stick this out until I can get to refeed. Somehow I think refeed will be good for me (the slightly larger portions) and I reckon I may even continue to lose when I am there. Must stay positive and on track to the finish line! YAY for me!!!

Kim

Thanks for dropping by Newloser, you are doing well also. I know I need to finish, and I know I will, but when is the real question... Not soon enough.

But, then again, how will I face the refeed and maintenance anyway, will I struggle like so many others are? Surely will. Oh well, another challenge awaits.

I heard from another friend on Cohens today that we are allowed fat free philly cheese now as part of our cheese portion choice. Oh yum!

I haven't had the official word/email yet from my clinic, so I will hang out for them to return my call or email. Maybe it is that little variation that I need to keep me in the race.

I am very hungry, lacking in sleep trying to settle my toddler into her own bed and bedroom (will this EVER work anyway??), catching up on study (VERY behind), and just functioning enough for the other mundane household chores.

Haven't updated my ticker in a while, as there has been no progress there. 1kg backwards if anything. *sigh*.

Okedoke, thanks all

Cya, losers. (hee hee, funny in context, but surely still sounds harsh.., you know what I mean anywayz, take care all.

Hi Kim,

Don't worry about the 1kg backwards albeit it being frustrating. I went up by 1.2 just like 5 days ago!! I almost flipped but I continued to hold on and didn't crash, almost did though. But I remembered the last 29kg which I've lost so sabotaging my body wasn't going to be worth it for just 1kg backwards. Well, who knows? After a good explosion of poo, I'm down 1.6kg in total over 2 days. So, yea, just hang in there and find comfort and solace in the fact that there is a FlaMie who is struggling just as hard as you if not harder

Hi Kim,
Congratulations on your fabulous efforts! Your ticker is a good place to put the big changes you've been through into perspective. I don't know about you, but I always find some form of satisfaction in seeing mine. How long have you been on the program for? i wonder if many people experience some kind of slump around a certain time? i certainly have and it seems as if you have too! fingers crossed its only a little one.
Oh what an emotional rollercoaster life can be!
I hope you manage to rediscover your motivation, you are so close to the important part and I wish you the very best of luck.
Take care,
nat

Oh hi everyone! I am stoked I have had visitors! Thank you all so much.

Carrieanne, I did get the official email from my clinic yesterday about the addition of extra light philly cheese, tangerines, shrimp, and unlimited mineral water into the program. I was mainly chuffed about the philly cheese and had that for brekky this morning on 2 crispbread with cucumber. I savoured every bite and was surprised how filling it was. I had a piece of fish and salad for lunch today, and am saddling up for roast beef tonight (which I am deducting the 15% from my portion allowance, bugger). The smallest roast I could get was just under a kilo, so it will do hubby and I just nicely (he will take some to work tomorrow also).

I am reaching out for new meals and ways to have my portions as motivation to stick it out DFree for 2 weeks. I have some good news finally to add to my diary....get ready for it....

My clinic emailed me today and asked me what I thought about them ordering refeed for me so I can take the time to get familiar with it before I start. They said I should have the 5kgs or so off by then, so sticking this out is now a MUST!!!

I knocked back hubby this afternoon. He wanted to go out to the Bowenville hotel for dinner as I have to head back to Bundaberg on Monday (a week ahead of him). After a sigh, and a short scorn aimed his way, I explained I really need to focus on this program now.

I didn't think roast beef and boiled cauliflower and cabbage tonight for me was that bad that I needed to go out and eat somewhere else anyway!!

I have had a busy day in the kitchen cooking stuff for hubby for the week. I have made a lemon cheescake, tripe onions and white sauce, and a carrot cake for him to munch on while I am away. Anything to try and keep him away from the takeaway joints! Then, now he says he wants anzac bikkies too...*sigh*. I hate tripe too by the way. It was a pleasure to cook it and not want a spoonful - blurgggh. I even managed to stay away from the beaters and spoons of the cake and cheesecake - yay me!!

I am also not far away from being in normal BMI weight range, so that will be another celebration for me - coming SOON to a forum near you!!

Nattyg - I am on my 25th week on the program. I believe the last 10kgs was/is the battle, for me anyway. All of a sudden I found myself struggling like never before. And Koh's message earlier gave me the indication many other people have the same experience.

Flamie - LOL good to hear about your explosive poo! I brought some psyllium husks to get me out of a tight spot should I feel I need the extra fibre or the extra bulk in my gut to fill me up. 1 tablespoon per day. Not looking forward to going up over a kilo overnight! Arggh, that must have been a shocker day for you!!

Anyway, better go and get this roast in the oven.

Cheers all
Kim

Wooohooo! Some good news!

I am now deemed officially in the normal weight range according to the BMI calculator! No longer overweight! YAY!!!

Also.........drum roll.... I received my refeed today! I am taking some time while I am still losing to go through it all and plan it out well.

Wow, not over yet, must stay focussed and strong to not cave in now the end is nigh!!

See ya all

Kim

Hey all

Flamie - my refeed is 14 days. And 1 slice of bread on the first day. Although, not really tempted by that without the butter...lol I might stick to crispbread, I am very used to salada's now. Will definitely try and reach refeed at the same time, but I have a little more than you to go though. I have had 2 days of no budging on the scales, but hoping for a good nights sleep and loss/rid of some lard by the morning

Hi Crave, welcome and thanks for reading my diary. I hope you have made sense out of my babbling on in some of my postings..

I have had many outings and survived fully. I have cooked my lunch and taken it to gatherings, even the tupperware party I went to today. Man, didn't I get some comments "Geez, someone looks like they are being good", came this voice of a stranger from across all of the lamingtons, scones, and nibblies. Man, I was that hungry today I could have eaten the pants off a low flying duck, but didn't cave in. The last 2 days have been like that actually. Prior to that, it was going very smoothly.

Since I have been back home, friends and family have noticed my additional weight loss since last time I was home, about 3 weeks ago. Everyone says I should stop now. I reckon I could rid another 5kgs from my bottom half. My top half doesn't need to rid anymore, I am bony enough around the clavicle, and have lost enough bra cup sizes already. I find myself looking at my upper arms thinking...wow, they are slender!

I brought a size 12 pair of jeans from Kmart early this week on sale, and they are already looking too loose. Damn it. Another pair of jeans to add to the pile of bagginess for the garage sale when I finish, they have hardly been worn to flog them off for 2 bucks.

Anywayz, goodnight to all you losers out there (nup. still doesn't feel right using that expressionl!!)

Cheers all

Hey Kimmie,

cool...only 14 days on refeed. Dang, you guys out there all have shorter days than me. What is this gotta do with us Asians? Are we slow to balance our hormones that we need more refeed days? Hhhhmmmm.

So, both of us get to eat bread right from the start! I've got to figure out how I'm going to do that. I still rather prefer my daily crackers...yummy, can live without bread.

All the BEST to budging weight when you wakie

Hi Kim, That is great news about the refeed and being "normal body whatever" I am a 14 day refeeder too.Bread doesn't excite me either.but i think we should eat it to see how the bod reacts to nasty refined white flour and yeast.

Great job! be patient like me!

Hi all

I am still here but just haven't posted for a while. I am still hanging on in there and going well, only 2.9kgs to go....phew.

Hungry. What's new...lol

I am all op-shopped out. I have a nice summer wardrobe now for less than 50 bucks. And some clothes for my daughter on top of that. I love the op shops now, I am going to check them out more regularly as the bargains are unreal. Vinnies and the guide dogs have the cheapest clothes!

Cheers all

Hi Kim,

Great to hear from you again. So near to refeed already. Wow, you sure hanging on tightly and all the best in losing the last 2.9kg. I find that as we near the end, the patience is the one important thing which we've got to fix our minds about. Anyway, happy for you that you will be getting there so soon!

Well today I have let myself down again. What is it with my brain?

I have contracted the lurgiest of the lurgies (the flu again), and whilst I can hardly taste anything, I still found myself eating junk I wasn't supposed to be eating for my evening meal...after 9pm. Why? Heck I have no idea, AT ALL. A weak moment perhaps? All I know is that it didn't make me feel any better. And now I am a week behind (or more), yet again. So,I will most likely need another blood test at the end of August, have to pay another month to extend my program, and get a new refeed plan sent out after that. On a more positive note I have started to get the ball rolling in doing something about getting my head in the right space for maintenance. I am looking into hypnotherapy to retrain my subconscious self not to think that I MUST have the foods that I am missing out on. Or not to think that I am being deprived. Fingers crossed it works hey?

Glad to see others are so close to refeed. I guess some have what it takes, and others don't quite...

Cheers
Kim
