Default Re: The Tourniquet Challenge: 10 kilos in 8 weeks 23rd April to Sunday 17th June, 201

Well, sorry folks, I've been AWOL for awhile, but still working hard. Here are my stats:
Start of Challenge: 133 kg
Week 1: 130 kg
Week 2: 128 kg
Week 3: 127 kg
Week 4: 126 kg
Week 5: 124 kg
AWOL!!! (Away from home and my computer)
Today: 118 kg
Total loss: 15 kg
I was wearing a size 26 jeans when this challenge started, and I can now wear a size 22.
Woo Hoo! Feeling good, and getting to the point of liking myself again. Thanks for the challenge, and letting me join.
Best to all,
H5-0

My NYF Diary
Default Re: The Tourniquet Challenge: 10 kilos in 8 weeks 23rd April to Sunday 17th June, 201

Started at: weight 91.70kg ... squeezing into a size 18 (Trousers VERY tight fit)
End of Week 1: weight 90.0kg a loss of 1.7kg
End of Week 2: weight 88.6kg a loss of 1.4kg
End of Week 3: weight 87.9kg a loss of 700gm
End of Week 4: weight 87.5kg a loss of 500gm
End of Week 5: weight 86.8kg a loss of 700gm
End of Week 6: weight 89.1kg a gain of 2.3kg
End of Week 7: weight 88.4kg a loss of 700gm
End of Week 8: weight 87.4kg a loss of 1.0kg TOTAL LOST: 4.4kg

Sadly I lost my way a few weeks ago, so would have reached the 10kg mark for sure otherwise.

Trousers I tried on 8 weeks ago were a size 18 (I was a size 20+) they were an excessively tight fit (to the maxed out point) completely unwearable. Today, the trousers fit very nicely and are so comfortable I wore them all yesterday (IN PUBLIC). **smile**

From 8 weeks ago :

"Good morning all
This mornings weight is 98 KGs. I'm in a size 20 pair of work pants and a 22 shirt - eek! My work pants are a nice fit. I would think after a further 10kg loss I just might be comfortably into an 18 !!!
Thanks Kristine for organising this challenge !! "

18 June - 8 weeks later - Bunnybuckle reporting in.........

week 1 weight.......96 ... loss 2kg
week 2 weight.......94 ... loss 2kg
week 3 weight ......92.5..loss 1.5kg
week 4 weight ......90.5..loss 2kg
week 5 weight ......89.....loss 1.5kg
week 6 weight ......88.....loss 1kg
week 7 weight.......87.....loss 1 kg
week 8 weight.......85.5...loss 1.5 kg

Total for the challenge is 12.5 kgs !!

Just goes to show what you can achieve when you apply yourself and also how QUICKLY 8 weeks pass by.

I'm sitting here in my size 18 work pants - which are loose - and my size 18 work shirt. I'm wearing a fitted size 16 vest and am getting lots of compliments about my weight loss.

Life is so very different when you are "normal" weight. I find it sad really that so many of us go through life over weight and feeling the unhappiness that goes with that condition.

I still have a way to go but I am feeling the benefits of being 26.5 kgs lighter . I'm generally happier, slightly more confident & I have more energy.

I'm looking forward to what the next 8 weeks will bring. I could well be starting refeed, a word I hadn't contemplated until now.

Cheers everyone and sorry for the book

OK

Pfffffft!!!! (That's the sound of the whistle blowing!)

OK, down tools. Off those scales. Up with those pants.

I shall add in all results by Friday but so far here are the results

As you can see, yours truly got a bit lost between here, the Barossa and back again, but I still managed to lose nearly 4 kilos and dropped from size 16 jeans (tight/comfortable) to the size 12 corduroys (tight/comfortable)

The Tourniquet Challenge was about how our clothes fit us, not just what we weigh.

H5-O lost the most weight (15 kilos) and not surprisingly, dropped 2 complete pant sizes. This is quite amazing!

Bucklebunny lost 12.50 kilos, which is a whopping amount in 8 weeks, and 1 x pant size

Vivo lost 4.40 kilos and her clothes now fit comfortably

This has been a bit of fun and I will start up another Tourniquet Challenge. I think the 10 kilos in 8 weeks is a reasonable goal and even though I fell far short I will leave this particular challenge 'brand' as it is

Challengers - continue to post up your results and I will post a complete summary later in the week

Sorry for posting late. A further 1.2kg down, current weight 68.2kg, total loss of 10.3kg!

Jeans which were a terrible muffin top, volcano thing now fit extremely comfortably with room to spare, in fact too big to wear in public

Yay! I made it! (just) Will sign up for the next one, although I expect my losses may slow even more who cares *shrug* it keeps me involved. Still 100% D-free for the duration.
