Us in refeed together? Awesome idea and Very Very excitement! But I think you will get in there a little quicker than me. I am feeling great. There are some things that are not so super but I just feel like, 'AH - what can you do?' and if the answer to that is there is nothing I can do, so be it! LOL!!! There is one little thing..... ************************ Last year I was at the doctors 'trying another diet pill - Jan 09' (reductil that time!!) and before the doc would give me the pills he insisted on doing blood tests. Anyway the results came back cholesterol and stuff all good but my thyroid was showing signs of disfunction. Not bad enough to warrant any immediate action but enough that I had to be recalled for a check up. A letter came out last month saying I had to go back so, off I went yesterday to see the doc. When I got there the doc was reading my notes and said, 'you were last here looking for weightloss drugs..... that can't be right because you certainly do not need to loose weight' O M G . . . . that was sweet sweet music to my ears!!! When I told him I had lost 25kgs so far and on my last 5 or so kgs he was over the moon for me. He asked me to hop on his scales and I weighed 63 on his scales. Nice! He asked me how I had done it and told him. He congratulated me and said NOTHING beats real food and exercise, nothing. Too true! He asked me if I was enjoying going shopping etc and I said yes. He was a lovely doctor, very caring and this wasn't weird at all (even though as I am writing it sounds weird hahaha) but he asked me if I had to buy new clothes, underwear, shoes etc coz funny enough he had heard of that happeneing. I laughed and said yes and I I mentioned the bra sizes constantly changing and that this was embarrassing but I needed to go again because I have pain where I think this one is too big and causing pain in my ribs..... He questioned me some more about that pain.... and as it turns out the pain has been there quite a while and I have just been thinking it is the underwire of my bra not fitting correctly causing a bruised feeling, constantly aching in my rib cage just above my abs. Then when he asked me about my back - the right shoulder blade to be exact it has also been a constant ache to which I have just put down to training at the gym and stuff..... Anyhoo..... that combined with the fact that nearly all of my aunty's and my mum having gallbladder's removed I have been sent off to have an ultrasound because it sounds like I have issues with my gallbladder that need investigating. I am still not convinced that it is not an ill fitting bra?? Like he said though, the other side should be hurting too if it is that ill fitting! LOL! Oh well.... go and get it done and see what it is. The only thing is I have to fast before the ultrasound and that is going to throw my eating out for the day!! ARRGGGGHH!!! The ultrasound place had an opening this morning at 11.30am but I was like no way, I am not fasting until then!!! I am going to ring around and see if I can get in somewhere REALLY REALLY early so I am not too far out with eating! I have had enough upset with eating times for one week with my little man's visit to hospital! Oh well... will let you know how it goes! All good here anyway. Have a great day everyone! KAT OUT! |

Little Miss - Thanks for popping in! You are almost there too! Exciting times ahead for all of us! YAY!!!! Refeed buddies! I will be at the clinic this Friday, so no doubt I will have a chat about when do I do the ultimate - ORDER REFEED! Woo HOO!! Have you had that chat with your clinic yet? And yep, the doc was a real sweetie! I like doctors that pick up on stuff like that. Not just in and out and yeah whatever attitude!

Kat your doctor sounds lovely! I love doctors like that! Mine is pretty good too - which is definitely important since i have to go so often.
How's your exercise going? I tried BodyAttack for the first time last week, and I love it. going back for more tomorrow night!

Great Doctors rock! Agreed! Especially for you if you have to go often, it is so important to have one (or two in your case ) that you are comfortable with. I have always been into exercise. I love the gym. I have been training with a PT for over a year and I walk/run with a friend 2 times a week. I say walk/run because we are building up to actually 'running' LOL! We run for as far as we can then walk, then run you get the drift! LOL I have done body attack and Pump and all those Les Mills programs. I think they are fantastic classes. Have you tried Body Jam? Good for a laugh! Great ab workout from laughing at myself so much. Exercising has always made me feel alive. It helps me get moving and sparked up on the inside. hahahaha Hope you love your class tomorrow. I am doing a walk/run tomorrow night, looking forward to it! You are really looking fantastic in pictures, I bet you are even better in person! Kat |

Your Doc sounds like a great support. Mine was flabbergasted and I think he'll be referring alot of his patients to the clinic. You know since I have done my journey, 4 women have joined the program with another one restarting again. Its amazing to see how people view your success. Can't wait to cheer you on in refeed!!

You are doing so well with everything and I look forward to reading your diary everyday, thank you! Yep, my doc was pretty happy with my weightloss. Especially considering that I used to be in there every other month asking for a new diet drug I had heard of... to see me lose the weight with just healthy eating and exercise he was oer the moon! And yes it is funny how those around you/me (anyone on the end of great results) seem to spur others on. Since losing stacks I have managed to gain walking and training partners! hahaha Everyone wants in on great results! Have a great day |

I have to get in here and do some updating very soon..... Been trying to get this pain in the ribs resolved. Short version (partially explained in LD's diary) no surgery required, lookes likely to be a bone issue (nothing too serious) rest it up, all should get better in time. oh man... I spent ages this morning doing an update to fill you all in on the rib situation and then my server died and it didn't post!! So FRIKIN annoying!
And now I can't be asked to type it all out again. Sorry The very very very short version is, no surgery needed. Not Gall Bladder issues. Had a bone scan done and some activity shhowed up indicating 'trauma' to my ribs!! What the? Don't rememebr anything traumatic happening to my ribs (like a bashing or anything - think I would remember that LOL) but I have been told it can take up to 12 weeks to get better and to take it easy. If it hurts, stop whatever it is I am doing. Hmpf! The scales have been very nice to me this morning! After a couple of slow weeks I seem to be starting to drop again, BOUT TIME! LOL I think the pain killers and anti inflammatories really slowed it down for me. So after not updating the ticker at all last week I thought I would do it today coz 62 looked like a great number! 5 KGS TO GO!!! Cmoooonn!! Yehar! Well I am going to get ready for bed now. Good night all, enjoy your weekend! |

well at least its nothing serious - as your bones get closer to the surface they will get more bumps and knocks - i hurt my newly emerged ankle last weekend ( dropped a post on it) still hurts this weekend - wouldnt happen with insulation haha

Woohoo 5kg to go! Great news & not so great news on the rib front - at least it is not gall bladder or surgery requiring... Hopefully it will get better soon. Take it easy... xo PS if you were taking voltarin, then that would have slowed your weightloss, it is notorious for that; which is why I stopped taking it for my joint pain. Heat is my friend.. oh and i have a new friend, magnesium

Thanks for your support and for popping in everyone. My rib is feeling much better now...phew! Still tender but not feeling like I have been taken to with a baseball bat anymore! hehehe Mcpsych - LOL! Yep, we all have much less insulation these days. What are you doing dropping posts on your new ankles? Maybe all my chub was supporting a sore rib all this time and I just couldn't feel it? hahahah Miss Nix - No, wasn't on voltaran, another prescription one (can't remember its name), I am just glad the scales are back moving on down thats for sure! Heat bags all round? LOL Leslie - YUP very weird seeing (and feeling) all these bones again! Nice weird though! So my taking it easy seems to have helped the aching rib and not taking any medication has started the loss happening again...all back to being good I think! Now for the home stretch to the last bit of this stage! Woo Frikin Hoo!! There have comments coming my way about my weight loss the past week, so that is confirmation my losses are back on track too. You know I still have not told my husband what I am doing (almost should be saying - done! LOL) and he has started calling me skinny minny. He has also however started implying that I am not eating or that I am throwing up my food! What the? I pulled him up straight away on that and pointed out that I am eating 3 meals and two snacks a day. I am just not eating crap. hmmmm.... I am having a Missy moment and loving and looking forward to my CHEESE lunch today! LOL! Enjoy the rest of the week everyone. I am of to update my ticker because I didn't do it yesterday! Not heaps of movement since Sat/Sunday but oh well, it still moved I am happy with that! KAT OUT! X X |

oh lordy lordy!!
Curry stupid curry doing my head in!!!! I am about to go and make my own curry powder (thanks Lesley found a recipe you quoted somewhere..) BECAUSE I happened to glance over a thread about curry powder only to find out about the fenugreek! argh! whatever!!! At the begining of my journey I messed up with using keens curry powder so then I read through all the labels and found the one I am using and I didn't have anything in my book about fenugreek....... oh man............... Never mind, building a bridge......^...... and I'mmmmmm, over it! If curried mince and cabbage wasn't the easiest and quickest meal in the world I would just abandon it! Mean while in other news, nah just kidding. Not much else else going on. Food wise I am ticking along nicely. The weightloss is still happening, just much slower - bumma! Good Morning and Howdy Doody!!
Can the last 4.5kgs just go now please? MOVE IT MOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Far out, how s l ooooooooooo w can it go? Now normally I am all it will happen when it happens and blah blah blah, but today I over it! I feel like this last little bit it taking FOREVER!! I must be so close to the end and feel like my body is fighting me for every last kilo at this late stage in the game. What's up with that? I am starting to get hungry, before meals, after meals. I am now eating all of my fruit allowance every day and all of my cracker allowance every day! I think my body is starting to send me signs that it is just about done with this BUT I don't want to be yet... I DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT REFEED UNTIL I AM 57KGS ARE YOU LISTENING BODY? I think I should go and do some reading on losing the last bit. Anyone with any great ideas to help me get over the line? A slightly impatient (today).... KAT OUT! |
