Talking 6 days to tummy tuck

Hi Jeannie

Thanks - I can now say that it is THIS THURSDAY.

OMG - I have to go to the dentist, get haircut and crazy as it sounds hubby and I are painting daughters bedroom - and I have to fit in work as well.

It will make the next 6 days go so fast.

Cheers

Finally got back to your diary, Sharon. Less than a week now. I can understand how you might feel that time is running out to get everything done. Unlike a birth, you will have to wait a bit to see the results.

How's the organisation and preparation going, Sharon? How long will it be before you can get up and do things again?

Default 4 days to go

Hi Aj

Not much left to do but pack -

I think it is about 2-3 weeks before I can walk upright and 6 weeks before I can drive again.

Only 4 days to go

Don't rush to get out of bed, Sharon. As soon as you do they'll think you're well again. Enjoy the attention

Hi Loosing,

Good luck for your surgery on Thursday?
You must be getting excited, and a bit nervous as well.

Only three sleeps left, Sharon. Do you know how long the op itself is expected to take? What sort of scarring remains afterwards? Where is it? I've been trying to imagine what's there afterwards, on the tummy in particular. Obviously, you don't want to exchange loose skin on the tummy for tight skin with a big, ugly scar right across the middle of it. I assume the scarring will be in fairly unobtrusive places.

Default 2 days to go

Hi Shell, Barberella, Almost Eden, AJ and Irene

Thanks for stopping by and wishing me luck. Today is my last work day, and it seems very real this morning.

Aj I think I will be under for approx 5 hours. The scar is big - it goes from hip to hip but should not be visable in underwear. I am going to do everything the doctor tells me to assist the scar in healing - including no driving until mid July. I.m sure he mentioned something about no washing for a year LOL.

Anyway have a great day - I think the next 2 for me are going to be weird.

Cheers'

I'm like Becca, Sharon, definitely something that I've considered. I'd like my breasts, face and neck to have some work, but probably won't be able to afford the costs.

I'm really looking forward to your report when you see the finished work. I'm sure you're going to be so happy with it.

Cool Tummy Tuck Tomorrow

Wow I can't believe it is tomorrow.

Thanks AE, Becca and AJ for stopping by and I can promise that I will give an honest account of my experience, and some before and after photos too.

I thought I would be more scared but perhaps that will come tomorrow, as today I feel calm that everything is organised, I achieved what I wanted to at work before I left yesterday. I know my hubby will handle everything wonderfully at home and I have done all the washing etc. My kids are happy for me and are so beautiful. They are the factor in all this that can bring tears to my eyes.

Conversation in the bathroom yesterday went like this.

Son " Do you know what is happening this week?
Daughter "yeh mum is getting her tummy cut off"
Son " ANd you know what that means......if we do dishes while mum is in hospital dad said he'd buy me a new transformer"

I'm sure she worked out that she might do some dishes and see if she could get some baby annebelle clothes for it.

Today I am off to have a girly day of shopping. My girlfriend came around last night for coffee and my mum came round with a beautiful big lambswool to lie on so i don't get a sore bottom.

Hope you all have a great day

Sharon

Good luck and a speedy recovery from me too, Sharon. No need to be scared. You know you have a good surgeon. You know what he's going to do. You'll be asleep while it happens. Forget the worrying until after it's over. Do you have a laptop to get you back online quickly? You might be bored just lying round in bed with nothing to do.
