Hi Vee - YAY only 2 days to go!!! A list of the meals you enjoyed sounds like a great idea. I was talking to the Brisbane consultant Sue ages ago, and i asked her what her meals were like now... and she still doesn't each much carb - pasta or rice or potato an exception rather than a staple at the dinner table, for example. This gave me pause, and thought - yep, I do enjoy my stirfries, and I have not missed the rice or noodles I'd normally add to it. I LIKE fresh noodles, so I don't think i'd give them up - but maybe the portion can be HEAPS less - or only occassionally have it with noodles... Interesting.

It will be fun to be on maintenance - and your chilled attitude will let you sail through!!!

Only 2 days to go - thats wonderful Vee.

I just wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful support in my diary. There are some days when a kind word from someone can make such a difference!

I just subscribed to your diary, but seems that there are only 2 days left I should rather subscibe to your maintenance one LOL!

Default Day 18 - Last refeed day!

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 64.4kg
Difference: -700g

Last day of refeed today. Then it's out into the big wide world armed with my knowledge, experiences and the maintenance guidelines!

I suppose I could do a lot of refelecting and I guess in a way I have (I've always been a thinking person). I've basically spent a year on this programme and so averaged a kg loss per week over that whole year! I still have some issues I know I need to work on and I know I'll get to them, all in good time. Rome wasn't built in a day!

I do have to say an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to everyone on the forum for all your love, help, advice, support and cheering on as well as picking up when down! Without all of you, I would have really really struggled a whole lot more and perhaps even have given up at times. This forum has made a huge difference for me and it was instrumental in me reaching this amazing achievement. I know I didn't really believe I could do this when I started out, but I was hoping/wishing like mad I could, and I have! So THANKS from the bottom of my heart!!!

Being more relaxed about impending maintenance has certainly made life a whole lot easier. I still struggle with "those chocolates look good, I really would like one, but no, I'm choosing not to have one, as I'm finishing refeed and THEN if I really really want one, I can try one". Those are thoughts I've always had, although the twist at the end is new, and one I've had to practice often. By not denying myself anything, it has taken the pressure off a lot.

So today is the last day. I need to go and organise my food for today, so thanks to all of you who dropped in for a visit, Jenny, Hexi, Kay, Scotty, Jo, Zambuck, Fi and Daffodil! It's wonderful to see you all doing so well and enjoying your own fabulous journeys!!

Tomorrow I'll start my maintenance journey diary! I don't plan on going anywhere, I'm still going to need the forum to stay more or less on track and keep myself accountable.

Have a fab fatmelting, great, Cohen day!!

Vee

Smile Congratulations - take a bow

Congratuation Vee on completely your refeed. I thought I would have been here now too, but was not to be. You have done a fabulous job. Im pleased to hear you seem to be sounding relaxed. Take some time to congratuate yourself on your achievements. It is so easy to get caught up in the daily weighing that we forget to sit back and assess our achievements. Dont forget to do this and pat yourself on the back. I realised the other night that I am almost 2/3 the size I was before. Looking at your weight change you are almost half - what a great achievement - take a bow!

Thanks Louise and Jo!

Yes, Louise, I lost almost half of myself, only 10kgs out of half! I'm blown away by that, no wonder I didn't believe it would be possible when I started.
You will be finishing up yourself soon, you have done what you needed to do for you, and you've learnt your lessons along the way. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason!

Jo, no way would I be desserting the forum!! It's been so instrumental in my success, so plan to help all those that I can achieve their successes too! Besides, I don't want to lose all the lovely friends I've made on here, and I hope to be able to catch up with everyone I've met from the forum again as well as meet any new people as well!

Vee

Congratualtions Vee - a truly amazing journey with fantastic results.

Like everyone says, baby steps into maintenance and after reading all the maintenance diaries I truly believe the slower you ease yourself into maintenance, the more successful you are.

You are already a winner, so go girl you deserve this after all your hard work over the past year.

Little birdie told me you have completed refeed today and start maintaince. See no secrets here!

Well done Vee you truly truly deserve to say and yell and do cartwheels to celebrate this milestone... Wow Ive got tears coming to my eyes and I havent been part of your amazing journey for long but hey you have conquered and I noticed that the weight loss for refeed was minimal and quite stable. Well done is the weight your at now your happy weight do you think?

Oh I cant wait to see and be part of your maintaince diary. You are an amazing part of this forum and one day when I can plan it I want to have a meet up with you lovely people like yourself has you have been such an important element of me also being able to finally get my butt and work through this with each of you to succeed.. For ever!

I know that the struggles will be there for all of us at times but what a great tool we have here alone and what we have learnt to really get on with our lives..

I really dont think I will be going away either in a hurry from this forum. I really like the fact that each of us contribute to making a little difference.

Anyway thankyou Vee.. You have seen a part of me that I thought was quite odd at times.. (I have been told I share to much of me at times but my reaction is who cares! Who set the rules and here I really feel I can be myself)
Thanks again see you in your maintaince diary! Yay Tom!

YAAY VEE!

You are finally in maintenance land! It seems such a short time ago that you were struggling with thos last 10kgs (probably not for you though!) and then you started refeed, now you are finished! I am so happy for you! You are truly inspirational and all that other stuff that everyone else has said, and you deserve all the wolf whistles and happiness and good health that comes with your new bod!

Congratulations! Cant wait to see you! We have to plan another get together!

Default Finally in Maintenance Land

Hi All!!

Thanks soooooooooooo much for all dropping in and for the congrats etc.
Hexi, Mette, Scotty, HB, Drexyl, Michele, Maria, Kay, Jenny, Jen, Connie and Shanara. Have to admit, it is surreal that I've made it this far and I'm still pinching myself to see if I'm really awake and not dreaming.

Speaking of dreaming, I had some weird ones last night. (I know Hexi has been having quite a few too lately). I dreamt I was a little girl of about 3 years old again, and I kept riding around on this little tricycle, it was like inside this old garage, but it was a multi level one with lots of ramps and pot holes and stuff, and I was riding down ramps and up ramps and speeding along like there was no danger in any of it! Interesting!

Anyway, just letting you all know I've started my maintenace diary and am all set to begin my ventures in Maintenance Land! Exciting stuff!

Thanks again for all of your fabulous support during the programme and during refeed! I wish for each and everyone of you who is doing this journey to put your all into it and to finish it and get to maintenance as well! The feeling is amazing, uplifting, inspiring and SUCH A GREAT REWARD TO OURSELVES!!

See you all in my maintenance diary!

Vee
