My NYF Diary
Unhappy Day 1, Week 35

I did a demo last night, was up fairly late, then was out of bed two hours earlier than usual this morning to take our friend to the plane. Consequently, today I am up 1 kg on my low. It's my weekly recording day, and my cm losses aren't big either. My losses for the past three weeks have been slow -- 800 gms, 600 gms and 600 gms, and that's ignoring the 1 kg gain this morning.

I'm planning to spend today relaxing a bit and catching up on a few diaries. My clients have fortunately not had problems in the past week, but today I have three clients that need help. I'm hoping that they are all small jobs (the first one was).

We stayed at home yesterday and I managed to spend most of the day preparing for the demo with friends last night. Some of that was simply tidying up so the house looked reasonably presentable. I'm hoping to spend some time over the next week becoming more familiar with the presentation so I can convey my enthusiasm about the product. At the moment I'm too concerned about remembering everything to get that across.

My friend also did an interview with me yesterday, one of the reasons she was visiting. She had interviewed me last time for her oral history project, but wanted a short video clip to go on the web site. I don't ad lib well, so it took several attempts.

Thanks for stopping by, Lilamay, Kate, BFG, hexi, Possum and anyone else reading this.

I'm not moving much at the moment either, Lilamay. For me, anything that's not part of my normal routine seems to cause me to retain fluid and slow me down. The more you can relax the better.

Kate, I've PM'd you on the motivation. Around the halfway point and around 13 weeks are both bad points for motivation. Try to avoid deviations and it should get better in a week or two. It is tough with aging parents, once they get to the point of needing a lot of care. Most of the ones I know would prefer not to be here, and I can understand why. However, they are all on drugs to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and other medications that are keeping them alive. We've just realised (comment of my niece) that this is not making a lot of sense. However, no one wants to suggest to Dad that if he wasn't taking his medication he would be able to pass on, and any discomfort could be helped with morphine.

Thanks, hexi. I am proud, love looking at myself when I pass anything reflective. My visiting Texan friend was great with a couple of people who thought I had lost enough.

Thanks, BFG. I hope it's going well for you at the moment, hoping to catch up with where you are at soon.

Thank you, Possum. I see you're nearly into single digits already. Well done.

Have a lovely, stress free, day, everyone.

AJ

AJ thanks for passing by my diary. Regarding the fruits and crispbreads for the more mature youngsters I have an allowance of three fruits and 9 nine crispbreads that relates to four and half saladas. It is perfect timing to have a salada snack between meals and the fruit with meals.

I will be preparing mango yoghurt for tomorrw breakfast. Am really looking forward to that.

Just give those last few grams a nudge over the weekend and be a swinging sixties chick by Sunday night
Good luck and have a good weekend

hey AJ

You are so close now, I hope it all drops off in a hurry so you can be done for the wedding! Which by the way how quickly are they sneeking up - only 3 weeks till my sisters, so not that long till your son's! Glad to hear the Thermomix is going well, i did tupperware a while ago - I love it, so it was easy to do, but like you at the start found that I just wanted to get the information across - I got comfortable really quickly though and had a ball doing it, so I am sure it'll all go well,

I hope you are relaxing this weekend, ready for some big losses in the coming weeks.

My NYF Diary
Cool Day 2, Week 35

Well, still sitting on 70 kgs, which is also 11 stone. I have got rid of the kilo I had added up to yesterday morning. Hopefully, I'll break into the 60s in the next day or two, and the 10 stones (69.6) within a few days.

I redid my measurements this morning, thought that extra kilo of fluid might be hiding some losses. It was, so on this morning's measurements I am down 3 cms on my main measurements and another 2 cms on the others. Yesterday it was only 1 cm on both.

Yesterday was fairly relaxed, mainly a lot of little things that I needed to catch up on. I have delivered the wedding cakes for icing, and fixed two of the three computer problems, will look at the third today. I've even caught up on a few diaries, hoping to get through a few more today, although mostly this evening. I again have a lot of little tasks to be done at home today, so should be a no stress day. Fingers and everything else crossed for a drop tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by, Tara, Sheree, Ceburoo, Riddler, AE and anyone reading this.

Thanks, Tara. The past few weeks haven't been too bad in the sense that I'm finding it tough going. I've been so busy I haven't had time to think about my progress. DH took left over wines (three bottles) and dips to the spa last night and I did semi seriously think about taking a sip from his glass, dismissed the thought very quickly.

Thanks, Sheree. The push helped and at least I'm back to my low.

Thanks, Ceburoo. I'm hoping to be into the 60s tomorrow. I think that SMS also had three fruits and nine CBs. One of the advantages of being older seems to be that we get more carbs than the young ones. I think it helps with reducing hair loss, as that's not been a problem for me and my hairdresser told me that hair loss comes with low carb diets.

Thanks, Jess. I would be the world's worst salesperson. I hate being pressured into anything, and I'm no good at pressuring others. I'm hoping I can quickly get to the point of being confident with what I say so I can get my enthusiasm across. When I'm enthusiastic about something, everyone knows.

So pleased you have recovered, AE. Old habits die hard, and the diet phase doesn't necessarily train us for life post diet. Maintenance requires a reprogramming of our minds, which some manage to do along the journey there, and others still have to work on post refeed. I haven't caught up with your diary yet. I did look at all the posts last night and decided to leave it until I had more time. You're certainly a popular lad on this forum.

Have a lovely, stress free, day, everyone.

AJ

Congrats on the normal BMI and keeping fingers crossed the drop into the sixties happens in the next few days! Oh what joy to be a 60's girl! AND wearing size 12s. I reckon by the time you are done, you will be down to size 10s.
You've done so well AJ, not long to go now.....

Would you just look at you! less than 6kg to go. Normal BMI, and taking on another major project (thermomix). Back in January, you had the right frame of mind and you never let up one bit through the tedious times and good times. You have shown all here and those who will come here the legend that you have become. And how to do the program the correct way without wavering. Where you have found the time is beyond me.

And I like the "Angel of Joy"

Smile Day 3, Week 35

BIG CELEBRATIONS!!!!!
I'M A 60S GAL
I'M INTO THE 10 STONES
I'VE LOST 1/3 OF MY BODY WEIGHT

Finally, I'm into the 60s, and also 10 stone 12 1/2 pounds. I haven't been this weight in I don't know how long. It may be thirty years. Big drop overnight and I could look for reasons. First is relaxing the past couple of days after a hectic few weeks. I had a BM after several days. I may have still had some fluid retention even though I had hit my previous low again. Finally, as per discussions of several weeks ago, I borrowed my rebounder (mini trampoline) back from my cleaner and used it for a minute at a time whenever I went past it yesterday. I'll keep doing that now and see if it helps with future losses.
Maybe it was just time for my weight to move again. Whatever the reason, I'm thrilled with this morning's result. I ran the tape around some of the main measurements this morning and they are also down.

Dad's back in hospital. DS went to visit yesterday and found that he had had a fall yesterday morning. The hostel nurse came to check his pulse while DS was there and found it was around 40. They've taken him to hospital to keep an eye on him and are talking about a pacemaker. We're going to visit today, and hope to see DS after he's been to the football (Geelong).

I had a fairly relaxed day yesterday, did a lot of little things. Late afternoon I visited a friend/client with some invitation cards that she asked me to prepare and spent a while chatting with her. Today also should be fairly quiet, although 3 1/2 hours in the car to visit Dad.

I caught up on some diaries last night, but I'm so far behind at the moment that I doubt I will ever be up-to-date again. I'll just rotate through them and hope to get to everyone every few days.

Thanks for stopping by, Janine, Pandora, Kate, Vee, Sheree, SMS, shell, AE and all others visiting.

Thanks for the shove, Janine. It helped.

Pandora, your words of wisdom have always been an inspiration to me.

Thanks, Kate.

I'm hoping for size 10, Vee, but not convinced yet that I will get that far. I used to be size 12 around my goal weight.

Thanks, Sheree. Those shoves really seem to help.

Seems I was catching up with your diary while you were catching up with mine, SMS. Yes, I always seem to be taking on more than I should. At least life doesn't get too dull.

That big shove sent me well into the 60s, shell. Thank you.

I've edited to include you, AE. I see we cross posted. Thanks for the extra shove. They all added up to a big move this morning. Good to see you back on track. It's much easier the first time than trying to get back subsequently. I know you can do it.

Have a lovely, stress free, day everyone.

AJ
