Default making the committment

gday, i attended an information session about the cohen's programme this evening at a girlfriends house and i was certanly sold by the end of the demonstration. Then the doubts started creeping in.......it all sounds too good to be true!!!!!. I am 35yrs old and weigh 119kgs and have been embarrassed about my size for the past 6yrs. I have tried many fad diets, diet pills, starvation, shakes the lot and at times i have lost weight but have put it back on and them some . After reading many threads from this forum i have decided to take this on and will win the battle to loose my fattness !!!. I am going to be the matran of honour at my sisters wedding in the begining of february and me being a healthy weight is the best gift i could give her, not to mention just how hot i am going to look . I am so sick of avoiding going out, clothes shopping with others or swimming (which i love ) all because i am ashamed of how i look. Congradulations to all of you who have had outstanding results and thankyou all for sharing your journey with others it helps to know you are not alone and that you can share your ups and downs with others that have been where you are and really understand where you are coming from.

good morning SHRINKME :P
this program will work, as long as you stick to it!
i started at 106kg at the 3rd of october 2006 and by Feb 2007 was down to 72 kg!
thats 30 odd kg in 5 months!
Whatever you do, believe in yourself, do this for you and the results will follow!

Hi Shrinkme,

Cohens is a great decision to come to, it really does work, and it is so easy to stick to, very black and white as in what you can and can't have which makes it easy. The first couple of days are tough as you deal with cravings and hunger but after that you feel fantastic. I am only at day 6 but i feel so different and lighter to what I did 6 days ago.

Welcome SHRINKME!

This program really does work, it is easy to stick to and if you do that the results are amazing.
I started on September 8th so nearly 2 months and in that time i have lost 38.1kg (I do have a fair bit more than you do to loose hence why I have lost so much, the more you have to loose initially the more kgs come off initially).

So strap in and enjoy your journey and you will be slim and hot looking for your sisters wedding in no time!

you will shrink no worries at all - and the proof of the program is in the photos and results of those that have gone before you - you can and will do it with out to much trouble as long as you are %100 committed and you have your mind made up to do it. You will get the best support in the world right here on this forum and soon the weeks will suddenly be months and the weight a distant memory - not saying you won't have a few days of mental change and that re adjustment - whilsta niggle - is all good for you.

Start your diary and read all the posts - every one of them and you will be on the road to being a champion - you can do it and you will achieve - never doubt it and get your head around it and into go go go mode - can't wait to read your diary !!!!!!

Welcome Skrinkme
Like the others have said get the program and stay on it you will shrink and look like a million bucks at your sisters wedding.
The first few days are the hardest but get into the mindset, get determined and you will get there.

Shrink me!

You sound like I did 2 months ago...

Listen I saw the testimonials and thought.... "Yeah, right."

Here's what I had tried before...

weight watchers (lost 30 odd kilos all back on again)
reductil (appetite suppressant)
soup diet
lean cusines
Lite n easy prepared/delivered food
jenny craig
gloria marshall
personal life coaching
optifast
ultra slim

Not only did none of them work..... but each one of them worked to erode my confidence in myself and the weight kept creeping on...the scales kept going up and up and so did my clothes sizes. And myself esteem kept going down down down ....
I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me.....Why couldn't I stick to a diet?? I wanted to lose the weight so badly....why couldn't I do it?

I tried weight watchers again and the first 2 weeks I gained weight....despite the fact that i was exercising and following the plan...

I think that was when I gave up...

I went to the Cohens info seminar... I heard it all... and I kept thinking through the whole thing...

"Yeah right." "God, I can't live without bread." "I'm wasting $680."

I heard them say that willpower has little or nothing to do with losing weight and I thought

"Nothing works for me." "I don't know how I'll be able to go without chips/bread etc."

I promised myself a week.....I actually thought..." I can handle being miserable/hungry for a week."

I also knew that I had some appetite suppressants left in the cupboard in case things got too tough...

The first day was a big change..... and I was a little hungry to be honest, but only in the morning....
I didn't need the tablets...
The second day was slightly easier.... a headache and some shakiness in the afternoon...
I didn't need the tablets
The third day was easier still.... I wasn't hungry and I wasn't craving food...

By the end of my first week.... I went for a weigh in......

I'd lost 4.8kgs in a week!!!!!!

What??? really... but it was so easy? and no exercise...

Second week... I did the same thing... Kept the appetite suppressants in the cupboard waited to get hungry...waited for the novelty to wear off....Lost over 3kgs that week...

OMG over 7kgs in 2 weeks.... NEVER had that happened to me!!!

I threw away the tablets..... and all the optifast crap I had and got rid of the lean cusines in the freezer... I knew right there that I had found the answer!

It has been 2 months and almost one week....and I've lost 18.9kgs...

NEVER did I think I could...... I'm the girl who would eat 2 value meals from Maccas in one sitting... I would crave potato chips... I loved mayo and chicken on white bread.... I loved thick butter on bread... I craved these foods....

No cravings since I started.... Oh I've had hankerings for food.... but feeling like somehting and feeling like I HAVE to have something are two different things......

Oh and my age and weight? I'm 33 and my starting weight was 133.6kgs... Last weigh in I was 114.7...

Shrink me... this is the best decision you will ever make...and the last time you will ever lose weight...

I believe in you.... Hold on.... your dreams are about to come true!!!

Yes Debs, that last post of yours, i reckon Cohens should use it for their marketing! It is pure gold honey! Maybe theres a place for it somewhere else on the forum for new people who are still sitting on the fence! Pandora

Good one Deb.

I agree with Andy at one level re the pre-cohen start. But, what i did was, i went to pick up my program, said to clinic i am starting NOW! and she said, no, start tomorrow (it was already around lunchtime) give yourself time to study and get yr head around all the rules. So, i said to hubby and child, lets go out for dinner and celebrate (or maybe it was a wake, last supper for the "old" me!). My daughter and i shared a small gourmet pizza and chips and i had some wine, we didnt eat all the food (dont normally order that stuff anyway!) just picked at the food etc, but the next day, my day one, by 5pm i had major pains in my tummy, must have been the detox! If i hadnt been on the new program, i would have been off to the doc as it felt really bad! But, it was worth it in a strange way as i marked the end of how i had been being for 53 years and marked the beginning of the REAL me!

Some chose detox before start and others do what i did, both are equally as powerful ways to start! Enjoy the new you! Pandora

thanks Andy and Pandora .....they say everything happens for a reason even if you cant see it at the time. About six weeks ago i cut out most carbs ( i am the carb queen ) and have mostly been eating fresh salads and fruits, tuna, prawns steamed vegies and have been snacking on cellery and carrot sticks, and the georgous summer fruits that are starting to come back in. I have been drinking about 2-3 litres of water a day instead of the soft drink and coffee i normally had. if i am to be truley honest with myself the past six weeks of eating have been the healthiest i have eaten my entire life. I weighed myself after 5 weeks and had lost a miserable 500g. i was so upset i cried and thought what is the use, i dont even know why i bother
That very afternoon a girlfriend called me and invited me to attend a cohen's info demonstration at her house ...............It was meant to be the positive in what i i have done is prepare myself for starting the program not that i knew it existed at the time. does any of this makes sense ????

Hi as for your garlic my book says NO BOTTLED OR MINCED GARLIC, only garlic powder is allowed and no fresh ginger either. So i guess that is a no for fresh garlic. hope that helps jacin
