Default Making the change

I have decided to do the Cohen's diet after 5 years of complaining about my weight. It all started when i fell pregnant with my first. I put on over 30kgs. 2 more pregnancies and not 1kg lighter, here i am. Fortunatly i have no put on any weight since i gained it however no matter what i do it won't shift. So i am really hoping this works. I am commited as i really really want this. And i have no trouble with portion control its more what i eat that is the problem. But i do have a few concerns..

First being, i have heard that a lot of people gain all the weight back and then some when they come off it. How do those who keep the weight off manage it?

Because of the rapid weight loss i am worried that my skin will become lose and saggy and look horrible. I have a lot of self consious issues and this would not help things.

I have also heard you can get gallstones from the diet. Is this true?

I havent rang the clinic yet, as it is the weekend. But i'll be ringing first thing monday morning. Can it not come quick enough?

Hi Phoenix,

And welcome.... Can I suggest you have a look through ALL of the "sticky posts" in this New Members area. You may well find a lot of your concerns and questions are answered in there. If not, you'll know a lot more about what might seem a bit scarey to you at first.

These "stickies" are so named as they are ALWAYS stuck at the top of every page (making them easy to find, either now or in the future). So, whichever forum you visit on here, the "stickies" contain a lot of good stuff.

So, pull up a chair, have your water handy, and have a good read. It could help....

Hi Phoenix,

How's it going? Did you get to start? Have you applied for a Diary?

There's a lot of good info in the various "stickies" - I hope they answered all your earlier concerns,

Koh

Yes i got my program last friday and will be starting tomorrow. Would have started when i got it but had to wait until today to get paid so i could do some grocery shopping.

Still finding it a little confusing about what i can and can't have, but getting there.
