Lorner's Diary
I started gaining weight after I had my babies 15 years ago, guess I cant use that excuse anymore. I have only been on the program for 5 days and have lost 3.5kg already. Couldnt believe how quickly the weight has started to come off. The first 3 days I found easy then after that I became very hungry and weak, maybe to much physical activity....I am not sure but I hope it settles down. I hope I am as successfull as many of you out their that I have read about.

Hi Lorner, As a mother of 3 I know what it's like to use your baby weight as an excuse to be overweight for so long. I haven't been in a normal weight range for over 10 years since having my first child!! No more excuses, definatly time for a change - we'll be doing it together as I have just started also.
3 1/2 kg's in 5 days is awesome, your obviously doing something right but I hope you stop feeling so hungry real soon - I have been drinking loads of water to curb mine so far. |

Thanks for the encouragment, Mette and Tomorrowisnow. Maybe I have gotten through whatever it was as today I havent been hungry at all and have had alot more energy thank goodness. I was a bit worried I wouldnt be able to stick with the plan yesterday. Perhaps its my body adjusting to the new diet. I am sure we can do this thing.

It doesn't take long to get in to the zone, Lorner! And once you do, it's smooth sailing! Just remember to be kind to yourself and put strategies in place for the times where it gets hard (and it does from time to time). Anything that will keep you occupied and away from food is good! Oooh, and can I suggest rewards for yourself when you reach milestones? Hot stone massages are awesome!

Thanks Avarona and Mette. A Hot stone massage does sound very nice. I might treat myself to something like that when I get to 80kg...its a great idea to give yourself a reward.. maybe when I hit each round number I pass 80 - 70 - 60 I will do something like that.
Just fitting back into some clothes I have kept will be a wonderfull reward to and one thing I really look forward to is shopping in normal shops....not having to go to the few places that sell fat clothes...... You are both doing so well.... |

I have now completed Week 2. I am finding I do not have the hunger I experienced in the first 2 weeks, but now the headaches have started. Have had them for the past 2 days. I am going to start drinking my water first thing in the morning again as thats the only thing I think I have done differently the last 2 days.
Very please with the weight loss of 6Kg and 13.5cm measurement loss and my clothes are feeling much looser. I also find I have much more movement. Looking forward to breaking the 80kg mark. Just wish I had of done this years ago. |

Hi Lorner!
A belated welcome to the forum! Congrats on doing this great thing for yourself! It sounds like you are now nicely in the zone! 6kgs loss in 2 weeks is fantastic! Well done! You will break that 80kgs milestone in no time and then you can enjoy that reward of a massage! I used massage as a reward too, and it was fantastic! Helped to move the fat too! Keep up the great work! Vee |

Good work for the first two weeks, Lorner!
I'm a bit concerned about the headaches, it's unusual to get them so late. Hopefully, the water first thing in the morning will take care of it. If it keeps up though, make sure you seel your clinic or your GP. Could just be tension in the shoulders that's causing it, I know that happens for me occasionally when I've been at the computer for too long. Stay strong and keep smiling!

Hi all
Have been a very slack poster so far but try and read the forum every opportunity. It really helps you stay focused doesn't it. So many successful people changing there lives. I am still in shock when I see how quickly the weight just falls away, I just wish I had discovered the program years ago. I was sick for a week there but still stuck to the diet apart from the antibiotics which didnt seem to make any difference. On the weekend I went through my clothes and everything that was to big went. What a lovely feeling. A very Happy Lorner |

Way to go Lorna! Look how much weight you've lost! Amazing!!! It's really tough when you're sick to stick to this. I've got the flu at the moment and comfort food keeps calling me - but i'm staying strong too. It's so worth it to stay 100%. Great to see how fast you're losing your weight.
Well done. Ava |

Welcome Lorner, it sounds like you are really in the zone. Fantastic losses and good on you for sticking to the guidelines even when you were feeling unwell. Isnt it just the best feeling when your clothes get too big for you?

Re: Lorner's Diary
Thanks for the encouragment girls. Just completed Week 7, I cant believe how the time flys. Only lost one kg this week, I have been very spoilt and losing 2kg most weeks. The only thing I did different was had some coffee bags rather than the instant coffee I had been having (wasnt enjoying it anymore). Will cut that out this week and see if it makes any difference. 39cm's gone so nice fitting into smaller clothes isnt it.

Re: Lorner's Diary
Hi Lorner,
I spotted your diary and read through it and noticed that we have similar starting and goal weights. I am always interested to see other people with a similar journey to me. I did start earlier than you. So all the best and don't be a stranger to your diary as we all love to hear how you are going. Take care, Rosemary |

Re: Lorner's Diary
ONLY 1 kg!! 1 Kg is great! Most dieters dont lose that much in a week. 2kgs a week is just fantastic! As long as those numbers keep falling its just the best feeling in the world. I hope you are feeling a bit better now

Re: Lorner's Diary
Hi Rosemary,
I hope my weight is soon looking like yours in a few months, just a matter of time I guess, its all very encouraging to see everyones success especially in similar weight ranges. I know I have been very lucky louise and I do appreciate it, was hoping it would continue at that pace. I guess as you get thinner your weight losses would reduce to, but in percentage terms they are still good. Have a 21st Birthday in Brisbane next weekend, it will be hard but have done it before so will sip on my diet coke in a scotch glass and pretend. |

Re: Lorner's Diary
Survived the 21st deviation free and was rewarded with an extra kg off when I returned. The food didnt worry me at all but I missed having a wine. Never mind there will be time for that later. I have been very slack at posting but read alot of the posts and find they are just so great for my motivation. I just realized when I updated my ticker than I am half way so am very excited about that. I have hardly any clothes left in my wardrobe that fit, just have to lose another 5kg and I have a few that I should fit into. Bring it on.

Hi Lorner,
Keep up the good work. It is such a buzz to have all those new clothes to wear and the shopping is even better. You will be there before you know it. Take care, Rosemary |
