Hi Sassy

I am not sure about the diet softdrinks but I believe this should be in addition to the water allowance

My experience is that I must drink the water allowance to see the best benefit of the program

Some afternoons I make myself stand at the sink until the water allowance is consumed!!

This works for me and I hope also for you

Sugarless softdrinks that are allowed by the program will not really affect your weight loss however, all beverages consumed, be they tea, coffee, softdrinks are all IN ADDITION to your water. The consumption of water quantities 2 to 3 litres daily is pure water without any flavourings. (Don't buy bottles water with essence of moonjuice or whatever in it as that will not be considered as part of your water allowance.

Drinking of 1 litre a day was hard for me. I'm now drinking between 2.5 & 3 litres of water daily and have continued to do so since finishing the program. The water helps to keep you kidneys flushed of toxins. This is extremely important as the kidneys and liver are where the released toxins stored in the burned fat are accumulated. It is necessary to therefore to stay well hydrated so no damage is done to these organs. This is the reasons for the blood tests throughout the program. They have to monitor those organs functions.

Sassy, leaving anything out doesn't seem to affect weight loss at all, soft drinks, crispbreads, fruit, might as well have them if you feel like them, and they help make the diet more interesting.

Not having your quota of water is likely to slow you down. I use a HydraCoach http://www.hydracoach.com/product/index.html to help, and to keep track of how much I've drunk. I drink about 100 mls at a time, throughout the day.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.
My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight.
What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/
Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).
