Default Skinny Chic - Soon2BSlim's Diary

Here I go again. I've done this before and I know it works but it's been a few years and more than a few kilos ...

I've been procrastinating for a while and trying to get motivated again but finally went for bloods today and am waiting for my brand new plan.

The time is now, I can do this. I know I will have tough days but I'm hoping that with the help of this wonderful forum and the people that make it work, from Asy and Koh down to all those of us on the weight loss journey, I will get there.

I'm putting aside the guilt of spending "so much money" on myself instead of my family; I work hard too and I need to do this for myself. It's time for me!

I will probably get my plan next week so will start the following Monday and give myself the weekend to detox from the coffee with milk and ease into my new plan. Not looking forward to the detox headaches but really really looking forward to being thin again. What a feeling!

Thanks for the welcome Ciors and Applemango. I'm also interested to see what changes there are between my old and new programs. I'm so ready for this! Been procrastinating too long and just looking forward to being skinny again.

The weekends are the worst time for me for snacking that's why I'm going to wait till the Monday after I get my program before I start. At least I will have 5 good days and hopefully be over the detox by the time the first weekend hits!

Hi NSS. Thanks for popping in. It will be good to see how your old program works for you. From what I hear, some do have a lot of success with their old program, I hope you do too.

I have an appointment in the morning with Alison, my consultant, and will pick up my new plan then. I'm feeling a little nervous but also a little excited at starting over. I'm nervous because I don't know if I'll be able to stick to it in the beginning. I've failed on my own so many times which is one of the reasons I've gone back for a new program and new payment ... it is supposed to motivate me to stick to it until I hit the zone when it should be easier.

I'll start on Monday ... which will give me a chance to familiarise myself with my new plan. I'll also probably be in here every 5 minutes looking for inspiration and motivation!

I know I can do this ....... I want to do this!

It can be hard to use your old plan if it doesn't match your body anymore. I had no probs with my plan initially, but when i went back on this year it was just horrendous. I hope I never have to go back on! I would definitely need a new plan. You should find the new plan much better...and money us such a great motivator! lol

Well, I got my plan today and it's very similar to my old one but that's fine.... as you said Ciors, money is a great motivator. So ... I will be starting on Monday! I also want to try not weighing myself at least for the first month! It will be hard but this time around I want to enjoy the journey to slimness and not be fixated on the number on the scales but rather how much better my body is feeling.

Hi Soon2BeSlim --

Am doing Cohen's again like you, but sticking to my old plan for now. The last few months, it still worked for me so here's hoping it will again this last time! I am also not weighing myself as often this time around, I was a serial weigher (everyday!) last year and it worked last year but the past 6 months of starts and stops on this plan just made me realise how much I self sabotaged because I weighed everyday. No more of that for now! Good luck with the monday start!

Hi Michelle

Thanks for popping in to my diary Have you started already or will you be starting soon? Good luck! You've done it before so you know what's coming. I think that if we can get past the first 2 weeks deviation free we should be okay ... and hitting the zone. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

It's day 1 of the rest of my life As luck would have it, I came down with a touch of flu at the weekend so am not feeling too well at the moment but I have been anticipating this day with excitement so will not let the flu dampen my enthusiasm or derail me before I start! Bring on the panadol!

I will not be weighing myself every day or week, if I can possibly manage without doing so, so I thought I would start today by weighing and then see where I am a month from now. Lol, got on the scales and the battery had gone flat! I managed to dig out a new battery that I'd squirrelled away many months ago and scales didn't want to switch on! Oh well, it's no biggie I thought to myself, I was going to go by the weight I was last week when I went to the clinic, but hubby fiddled with the scales and got them working so I eventually jumped on and couldn't believe that I'd lost 0.4 between last week and now, and I haven't been trying. Had all my normal foods, with a few treats as a farewell to the old me but what a boost to see that I've already started losing weight before my first meal this time round!

So, encouraged by that, I've done my measurements and had my breakfast and looking forward to feeling thinner before too long

Thanks Ciors and AZ1908 for popping into my diary. I'm not much of a writer but it's really nice to be able to tell someone about your little (and not so little) achievements with regards to weight. So, thanks for being there

Today is day 3 and I'm still going strong. Managed to get through day 2 deviation free and drank all my water again. It's a big thing for me to drink so much water and I struggle through it so I'm pleased I've managed so far.

Woke up early this morning with a rumbly tummy but not unpleasantly so. I just thought that it's a sign my body is gobbling the fat stores! Lol. Also woke up with a head full of flu but the nice part of being awake so early (I'm a late riser as I work till midnight and only go to sleep around 2am) was that I didn't have to jump out of bed and start the day straight away. I just lay quietly in my warm bed enjoying the feeling of being thinner. I know it's only day 3 but I swear I feel thinner already. I didn't want to jump on the scales for a month and fortunately I can't, think the poor thing is giving up the ghost, because I don't want to sabotage myself. If I saw a weight loss I would have those silly thoughts about having been good and now I can have a treat! Yeah right, look where that got me before. Anyway, because I can't weigh myself I can't sabotage my weight loss but can enjoy the feeling of having lost 'volume.'

Needless to say, I enjoyed my vaalia yoghurt and apple for breakfast and am pumped for the day!

I have found it strange but good that so far there are no detox symptoms. That may be masked by my cold but despite the cold, I do feel more energetic and clearer headed than I have in a long while. I know, I know, it's only day 3 but I can already feel the difference Cohen's is making!

I think being on Cohen's makes us a little obsessive in a way, but not a bad way lol. We work so hard, and analyse soooooo much lol. You can really only waffle on with those who can appreciate it...other Cohenites.

I agree, I could wake up on days and feel lighter! Love it!

Not everyone gets detox symptoms, I didn't, so enjoy that cos some people suffer terribly

Lol, you're right Ciors, just a little obsessive! I find that in the beginning it becomes all consuming, reminding myself that I am on Cohens and being a little fearful that I may eat something not on plan.

Anyway, was 100% deviation free yesterday and going well today. Feeling less fluey but still taking it easy.

I'm finding it quite hard to drink all the water but I'm forcing it down, I know it's good for me. That said, I am thirstier than I remember being before I started drinking so much water. Maybe it will get easier as the weeks go by.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings Only understood by Cohenites!

So hungry today but I managed to stick to it 100% - I'm so proud of myself. 5 days down and going strong! Was so tempted to weigh myself today but I managed to resist that too! Woohoo, go me!
