BigDreamsSmallJeans - Transformation Journey
Super excited to be beginning my Cohen's journey, starting tomorrow morning. I took some photos tonight that will act as my 'before pics' and I am ready for life to kick into a new focus, of a healthier, smaller, healthier and more confident me. I have a confession to make. I've been here before in 2014. I lost 39kg in five months at that time and then folded after finding it difficult to adjust to peoples comments, overt attention and general unease in myself. But after putting ALL that weight back on, and two years later, I am ready yet again to face myself squarely in the mirror. I have worked on developing my resilience and persistence and have reassessed where I now sit. Its funny how i took comments on board that were unhelpful (but certainly not malicious) by someone who meant nothing at the time, yet here I am two years later, unhappy, and uncomfortable. Instead, perhaps I should have just let those comments roll off and moved on with my day, unaffected. I have a couple of rules for myself on Cohen's which will bring me success, as proven previously. 1. I am 100% committed to completing this program 100% of the time. No excuses. No diversions. There is absolutely no reason why I need to divert from my program, not one. 2. I will weight in each month with my husband, but I will not know what the results are. I do this to stay on track, and to keep a record at the end of the day, however I don't actually want or need to know the results myself. I have been guilty of placing too much value on those numbers on the scales...so I won't let it either provide me worth (positive or negative). I am motivated by other reasons, and these numbers are low down the list. 3. I will keep active in this forum, as I find it super helpful to write about my challenges and successes to readers who understand, and equally, I love reading everyone else's stories too. 4. I will take photos in the same clothes each month to see my transformation - I can't wait to see what the first week will bring. I have several big events coming up in the near future...I am travelling to stay with my sister in Melbourne in September, and I have a wedding and a weekend away in October. Then of course, there will be Christmas and 10 days camping with friends. These occasions are on my radar but I will maintain status quo of staying on task with the program, because I know from previous moments, a break is sooooo hard to come back from. Anyway, I hope to meet you all in the forum over the next while as we all continue towards our goals. |

BigDreamsSmallJeans - Transformation Journey
Hi Guys,
Today was my first day on plan - and I completed it without too much brain power required. I kept a log on my computer of when I was eating/drinking/feeling temptation etc, and managed to stay distracted for long enough to get through 100% deviation free. I was motivated by the thought of how good i will feel soon, and how soon I will notice changes beginning to occur. I spoke about it a little with my friends at work, who are all super supportive which is nice. Anyway, I'm going to browse some pics of myself at my healthiest for fun. Later! |

Re: BigDreamsSmallJeans - Transformation Journey
Day two....harder today.
I have fluctuated between being completely unfussed by the program and completely distracted by it and when I can next put something in my mouth! Overcame several temptations and managed to stay busy which is helpful. I have physically felt a little nauseous and headachey today, but that has passed fairly quickly, so that's okay. I am expecting it. I'm spending a lot of time thinking and dreaming about my new self, my healthier, smaller and more confident self. I can't wait! I keep counting down the weeks to events I have coming up, imagining where I might be by then. It's all very exciting to consider my future, all ahead of me. The thought of how much I can achieve in these time frames is what is keeping me interested and excited. When will I first see the changes? When will I first notices the first feeling that is different. Anyway, enough for now. |

Please don't post unrelated advertisements on my threat.
Day three. Had a great day today, got through day three as expected with a little more determination than yesterday. I took a beautiful chicken and veg lunch to work and enjoyed all of my snacks there today. Ate a quick feta and salad for dinner when I got home which was great. Planning on coast with the family for the weekend so I won't touch base before monday again. Anyway, all is going well. |

Re: BigDreamsSmallJeans - Transformation Journey
Hi guys,
Thanks for the check in. I have had a good week and am feeling amazing. Can't be sure or if I'm just dreaming, but I think my jeans have already started to feel looser around my thighs! Now that's motivation! I had a weekend away with family which was lovely. Really enjoyed it all, and despite my daughter waking more regularly atm due to illness, i am definitely starting to sleep better, which is a dream! I can't wait to start noticing more and more changes in me. I can tell already (after only six days) that my tummy is less bloated and I am feeling brighter in my well being which is such a nice change. I suffer from the winter blues so its actually critical for me to be implementing this now, to lift spirits and provide my body appropriate nutrients to ward off the depressive feelings I sometimes get during these cold, wet days. Have been enjoying chicken, beef, calamari and cheese (occasionally) as my proteins, and have noticed I am starting to taste more. How wonderful. Thanks for checking in again, can't wait to report in on Wednesday night after measurement day arrives! |
