Hi everyone,
I'm so excited I've just got my diary! I have been reading all your posts and think you're all amazing and I'm so glad I've joined the Cohen's program.

So today is Day 6 - and I was dying to see how much I've lost that I jumped on the scales this morning a day early... and... I've lost 3.2kgs in six days! I'm so over the moon. Like so many of you, I've done shakes, weight watchers etc.. and I've NEVER had such a good result. Wahoo!

The major hunger has stopped and I do have lots of energy... but i am REALLY missing that after work vino. Even had a bit of melt down last night when my husband cracked a bottle - and I sat there with my sprite zero.... but hey, it is clearly worth it!

hope you're all having a great day - I'm off to learn how to do my ticker

Hi Angelbum,

Welcome. I am new here too. I got my diary yesterday. Been on the program for almost 3 weeks.

This forum is amazing. Unlike any I have seen before.
Hope to see you around!

Hi Angelbum

Welcome to the forum. You are doing great! One thing about this diet the weight just seems to melt away and that is what keeps a person motivated.

Stay strong and enjoy the ride .....look forward to following your progress.

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for dropping my diary. You are all such wonderful support!

So today is day 1 of week 2 and I'm feeling great. I've noticed though if I have dinner too late (if I'm tied up doing things after work before I get home) I find myself really emotional - and about to turn into a devil woman at any moment! My poor husband! Has anyone else had this? It seems when I eat at an ok time like around 630 or something I'm fine - so maybe it's a blood sugar thing or something....???

Roxy - you are so right - the quick weight loss is an amazing motivator hey! and i must say in the first few really tough days - the price of the program really kept me committed - I was thinking no way am I going to not give this 100% when it cost $750.

But I am so glad I'm doing this - and so glad I've met you all on this forum.
Thanks so much for your amazing support - and looking forward to continuing this journey with you all!

Hopefully the quote thing works.. I'm not very good at it...

I know how you feel Angelbum, it i eat dinner too late or leave more than the five hours between each of my meals I start to get really emotional, I'm lucky my finacee has gotten use to it and understands that its just because I'm hungry and he offers me a cracker, lol.. I'm not sure the cause, I've always assumed its a blood sugar thing..

oh you're all so lovely I could kiss you! he he.

thanks for the advice girls! Bride2be - so relieved to hear I'm not the only pshyco! he he. Have been making sure I eat soon after that 5 hour mark. My husband had a 'have a premium' moment to me too - and my rseponse whilst storming up our stairs was 'I'VE ALREADY HAD ALL MY PREMIUMS!!'... nasty piece of work I was. But I'm on to it now - so aware not to let that happen again! My mum says he should get used to it - because that's how I'll be when I'm pregnant!

Crave - I have been going really well last few days - thanks so much for checking in. Work gang have all just started the 'lets go for a friday drink' chant - but I've told them all I'm on a health kick so not drinking today (haven't told them I'm doing this program - want to wait and see if they notice weight falling off first!)

The bugger is - and I thought I was so clever starting this program before the party season - all of a sudden my diary is filling up with weddings/hen's parties/30th's etc.... NOOO!!! I wanted to live in my little cave while I did this - and do all my socialising when I was thin and fabulous! damn friends! I really don't want to deviate - and I haven't once so far - I don't know whether to fake illness/double bookings/dead cat or what - or do I just go along with my bottle of Sprite zero and say I'm not hungry.... any advice my fabulous forum friends???

Hi Angelbum...
Socializing is tough. I eat before I go ... then I am not hungry during. Except if I go to my folks, I take my own food and cook it there...but it's your choice. GOOD LUCK in anyway! DON"T DEVIATE! It's not worth it!

Hi everyone!

Well I have a new motivation to drop these kilos that I just wanted to share with everyone... we're putting in a swimming pool - yahoo, wahoo! I have been wanting one for years and finally we're going to do it. And the double bonus is that it will be finished by about mid-October - so I simply MUST have lost my weight by then so I can be fabulous in my togs by the pool! he he.

Have my first 'official' weigh in at the clinic tomorrow. It's only the 2 week mark but I think it'll be great to see the change on their scales - rather than just my own ( in case hubby's been altering them to make me feel better or soemthing!)

Thank you all for dropping by my diary - you're really such a wonderful support network. Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

Hi angelbum,

You don't have as much to lose as some of us here. So, if you just grit your teeth and truly don't even entertain any thought of deviation, you'll get there sooner than later. I think one important element for success is to see continued results. Hence, if you choose to deviate, you'll get frustrated with yourself and the programme - double whammy so not worth it at all. It may just well end up with longer than expected completion date which is self-defeating!

Whatever the case, all the best in your journey. You just have to hang in there for another 3 months perhaps?

Hi Determined and FlaMie,

Thanks so much for dropping by

Determined - Yeah not sure why the clinic suggested I come in after 2 weeks - I think they like to normally check in to see how you're going after 1 week, but I was working all last week and wasn't able to get in... probably more just a chat but she said I can weigh in if I like.

FlaMie - thanks for the words of wisdom - and I think you're spot on. I guess I've always felt pretty strongly that I wouldn't deviate - my problem is whether I still socialise and make up my excuses as to why I'm not eating/drinking (which I think I'll feel weird about) or do I stay home until I'm finished my program. I've got a few weeks to think about it - but I won't be deviating that's for sure! Hope you all have a great week!

Angelbum is ur clinic in Brisbane or the Gold Coast? All I have received from the Brisbane clinic is the email to see how I'm going. They didn't offer me a 2 week weigh in but I'll hang out for the 4 week instead. Hope u are having a great week.
