Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Ooh I do have so much weight to lose (ideally I'd love to lose 40kgs all up)... so I really am hoping this is a weightloss and healthy lifestyle program for me, as I have tried everything else (short of surgery) during my lifetime. *sigh*

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hi fellow NZers I'm from Christchurch, tried every diet known to mankind. Currently 11kg down with Cohens still have a long way to go. I need to focus. I think the NYF will help a lot.

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hi Everyone!
I'm in NZ too...Christchurch - Rolleston area I've been reading about Cohen's all over the place, on the TradeMe message boards and looking it up on Google...still wanting to find out more info from people doing the program about what its like. Would love to find out what kind of foods are on offer....is it readily available foods from the supermarket like Countdown or New World...or only organic specialist shop type foods?? Emma |

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Dear Emma,
It is just normal everyday foods from the supermarket. No carbs what so ever, only 5 vitawheat crackers per day, no milk, no alcohol, weigh and measured protein and vegetables - absolutely the best diet ever. Truely it works, if you stick to it. ZQ |

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hi ZQ!
Thanks for your post I'm trying to save up my pennies for the $995 fee, I see they do payment plans but even that would be a stretch as I'm a stay-at-home and my husband is the earner. I know it would be well worth the money spent on it...just trying to figure out exactly how much its going to cost (so thought if it was "special" type of food the groceries may be a little expensive, and would have to budget for that). But then I guess, I would be eating less!! So save some money that way! Lol!! I'm sure once I got to my Goal Weight my husband would happily send me out for new outfits for my new healthy bod! Tee hee! I'm enjoying reading about the success everyone is having with Cohen's, I have 20 kgs to lose, this seemed so daunting before I read about Cohens....seemed too good to be true! Emma |

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hiya... I'm based down in Queenstown and have been on Cohens since July last year - i dropped 20kg in 5 months which was just incredible and sooo fast my brain and eyes couldnt keep up with what was happening to my body..
Emma, I was really worried about the cost too at first, my partner then offered to help me as he knew how much it meant to me.. soo supportive. Re the food, I can tell you that I did spend a wee bit on spices, herbs, white/red wine & balsamic vineager, mustard powder etc etc but they pretty much mostly lasted me for the length of the program.. I love going to New World, it's now a completely different experience, I spend my time in the grocery section, then add a couple of packs of meat, a pack of sprite cans, yoghurt and feta and I'm done. So simple but then I do shop just for me (luckily I dont have to think about a family here...) all up it costs be anywhere between $60 - $80 per week - does that help? I usually weigh up all my meat then chuck it into the freezer, i then just pull it out every morning so it defrosts - I only cook once a day (in the evening) and it's done.. Another tip I have for you is to buy two bottles of the 1.5lt water - I have one at home and the other at work, essentially I just know I have to fill them both up at the start of the day and drink most of it .. it's now become a habit rather than a chore.. Very happy to answer any other questions you might have - I'm about 2 weeks (and 3kg) away from refeed Best thing I EVER decided to do Julie

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hi again everyone!
MaggieLyn I was looking at your album...WOW!! You must feel so fantastic! Also in your pics I noticed that you had a wee catch-up with some of the other ladies on here at Seven Cafe..cool! Do you catch up often? I'm a real people person so once I'm on the programme would love to meet up with some fellow Chch people. I was wondering if the Chch clinic is still open after the earthquakes so you can chat with a consultant face-to-face? Emma

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
Hi Ej and welcome.
ChCh clinic is on Durham St n the girls are lovely. They do hold information sessions which I understand are really good. There are also different payment plans so you don't need to pay the whole amount at once. I find the food is not expensive as it is smallish amounts of meats with salads n veges etc. I find that since cutting out the wine, bikkies, chips, takeaways etc, our food bill has gone down as the household is basically eating Cohen friendly which has benefitted the family health - household has lost over 30 kg total (hubby, daughter n me). So do go n see them n see if there is a payment plan that would suit your budget, you won't regret it. All the best. |

Re: Anyone from New Zealand
I'm in Auckland....been on it almost 3 weeks, lost 4.1kgs the first week and 2.1kgs second week, and this week is shaping up pretty good too. Been so surprised that I haven't been hungry at all, yes I miss yummy food, but then again its for a short time not a long time, and by then my body will be corrected and I can maintain a "normal" weight.....
