I can't find the smilies on new forum !!!

Hi all,

If this is YOU, read on.... In the changeover, I was similarly affected (but not now ). Something happened that led to the following:-

1. I couldn't see any smileys when posting
2. The forum time was showing as Greenwich Mean Time

This is how you fix the "smileys":-

Go to UserCP Profile, click on "Edit Options" (go right down bottom of page) there was a setting called "Miscellaneous Options" - it was set to "Basic Editor" (text based only). I've now set that to "Standard Options" and IT'S ALL WORKING for me again - whew !!! There is also an "Enhanced Option" (smileys work as long as you are NOT set to Basic Editor).


While on that "options" page (right above Miscellaneous Options) is the Date/Time Options. Mine showed GMT. Set it for your area - for most here, this is GMT +10:00 (Eastern Australia).

Once fixed, SAVE to finish.

i love smilies - i use them everywhere - even presentations for work
so when given the opportunity to use them i do
and there's new ones i haven't seen

Hi Again...I have another question...sorry to bother you.

Is there a way to make it so I can see the newest posts first...the way they are coming up I have to go to the last page to see the new ones.

Posts inside a thread or on a forum listing ? if it's the forum listing, you can change the default in your User CP.

If it's inside the thread, I don't think you can mnually override the defaults BUT..... if you click on the button on the thread listing, the board will take you to the first new post since your last visit.
