Your NYF Diary link in every post you make.

We've implemented another little enhancement for all members who have or had an official NYF diary thread.

If yoo look at my Postbit (that's the area at the top of every post that holds the posters information), on the right hand side, underneath the # of posts, you'll see a link called "My NYF Diary". If anyone clicks on that they'll be taken straight to my diary. For now it goes to the first page, but that will change soon so it goes to the first unread post in the diary thread.

So how do you get the same link on your Postbit ? Follow these instructions:

1. Go to your NYF Forum diary thread and look at the address. It should look something like this
http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1234
Write down the numbers after the "t=" which in this case is 1234

2. Go to your User CP (User Control Panel - there is a menu link at the top right of the forum)

3. Select "Edit Your Details" from the menu on the left and then scroll right to the bottom of the page. You should find the NYF Diary field at the bottom.

4. Type in the number you saved in step 1.

5. Click the Save Changes button.

That's it. You should now have a link to your diary in your "Postbit".

We've now added the "Go to first Unread Post" in the link so if you're using the links to keep up to date with your friends, you'll be taken straight to the first post you haven't seen.

We now added another little link to make finding your own Diary easier. If you follow the instructions in the first post, not only with other people find your Diary quicker, but you can find yours as well.

Once the NYF Diary field is filled in, you will find under the Quicklinks menu in the navbar, a link to your diary. Like this:

Question re this feature.......i have 3 diaries, one for program, refeed and now maintenance. Can I link all of them or just one?? Thanks Baloo for this feature, it's great.

Hi Collie,

It can only link to one. When I added it I thought the main weight loss diary is what it would be used for though I can see it makes sense to updating it with the latest.

But, from a community perspective, I imagine once you hit maintenance then the diary to be linked should be the first weight loss one which people would be interested in. You could also through a post at the end of weight loss diary with links to the refeed and maint diaries to link them together.
