Hi Jazz,

hehe, the zone can mean different things sometimes...

Mostly, it kicks in after detox and after being 100% deviation free for a certain amount of time (all variable from person to person). It is usually accompanied by feelings of 'euphoria', no cravings, a really good mood, enjoying being on the program, getting good sleep... and just general well-being. etc etc

The zone is definately a good place to be It makes sticking to the program easy.

all of what ld said
i would also include a head sapce where you are automatically following the program - it just seems right and you just do it without analysing it

The only other thing I would add is beware the zone can get interfered with by extreme fatigue - but that is all part of the cycle so don't think you have lost it1

For the past few days I have been really sleepy at 11pm. I used to be able to stay up till 1am. I am not sure if this counts as fatigue? I do hope I am already in the zone now, this week being my 4th week. No major cravings and feeling good about the diet. But I constantly talk to myself on why I am doing this so as to reinforce my commitment and determination.

Absolutely agree! I am throwing tantrums if he wants to offer any substitute (which is NOT OK!) or wants to eat out or do anything difficult for me to stay 100%.

I am looking forward to 'the zone'. Last night I had the most vidid dreams! They showed me backing a heap of cakes, not for me or my family but for fundraising. Anyway I was horrified because I licked the spoons and bowls - yep note the 's' telling you it was more than 1. On top of that I just kept saying it wont matter because it is only a little bit, not considering that my little bit was repeated over, and over, and over, and over........... When I got out of bed this morning I actually told my husband that I had messed up big time but would be getting right back on the wagon. YES, I was very relieved to relise it was all just one big nightmare.
