Default Chocolate cravings

OK,

I went through chocolate cravings - really badly at a a time of crisis for me (my sibling was diagnosed with and died from cancer during my time on Cohen's).

What I found helped me, and might help a few others, was a particular brand of coffee, which had a type with 'chocolatey overtones' (no chocolate or chocolate flavourings though). I didn't want to put the brand name up, in case that wasn't approved of.

I would have this lovely coffee - milkless of course - in my beautiful china cup and smell it, and drink it and savour it. Chocolate cravings sated, I felt better and no deviations.

I hope this helps a few of you.

Hey meagain - thanks so much for sharing that. I really admire that you kept going with the program through such a difficult time...when my father passed away I put on many many many kilos!! The fact that you stayed strong really puts things in perspective! I am very interested in this coffee - I doubt that anyone would mind if you named the brand (I mean we have been giving alot of free publicity to salada etc) but if you think someone might get upset - do you mind messaging me the brand?
All the best,
Tam

OH PLEASSSSSE PM me the brand too.. I would be ever so grateful... that might mean I won't need a tim tam.. those blasted strawberry ones are screaming at me to try them when I go past the display each week... (the one's raising money for breast cancer).. So far I have managed to ignore their little cries for attention...

Hi there i am so sorry for that news that is the worst in the world, i am glad that you stuck to the programe and got through the very hard time. This life can be cruel some times.

Would you be able to tell me the name of the coffee chocalately one too. I was a chocoholic and i have not had choc for 80 days now or coffee cause i dont like it without milk. I am looking forward to a little chocy here and there but if there is a coffee that taste like it then better having that instead of choc or coffee.

I hope you are okay and doing well. i know when things happen we all have to go on just cause we have to we dont have a choice but you must have such strength within you and you deserve all the happiness in the world.

Annie

Sorry for your loss Meagain. It had to be hard during that time to stay on program.

pm me that coffee too. Course it may just be over there and I can't get it anyway here. So will have to go look for some.

I don't see why not Meagain, it is not like you are selling it yourself or have an invested interest in some way shape or form.. It might pay to check with Asy though..

I admire that you were able to stick to the program while going through such a terrible time.. I hope your hurt has healed a little, I know you never truly get over it but I hope your memories now are more of the happy times you had together..

Thanks Kohinoor for letting me know it was OK to post a brand name on the board.

Disclaimer:
I don't work for this company or any of it's subsidiaries or have any shares in it et etc.

The coffee I used to curb/sate the chocolate cravings was Moccona Temptation. It really curbed the craving for me. I also found Moccona Indulgence really yummy, but it didn't make me feel like I had just had a 25gm Dark Lindt chocolate.

Their website is www.moccona.com.au

Hi all,

By way of explanation, I wish to add that I have NO IDEA if this brand is a "Cohens acceptable" product. But I DO know that many people share brand names of other products out there as a way of helping others.

So, if you feel the need to, DO check this all out with your consultant. I didn't have a problem with meagain sharing the name, as she was positive in her remarks.

Also, do keep in mind that a NEGATIVE comment about a specific brand name would be better checked out with Asy (as she would then be in the "firing line" if things turned legally sour - it does happen ....) So, thank you meagain for "checking before posting" - I hope your suggestion can help others following.....

Koh

Thanks meagain,

I don't have a lot of time to respond on the forum, but i try to read as many posts as possible to keep in touch with everyone and their amazing weight losses. But i thought i should repond to this as i love my chocolate and have succumbed to the temptation ( low carb chocolate ) a couple of times. After reading the posts this afternoon about chocolate cravings, I went to the shops and bought the coffee and LOVED it.

Thanks again and good luck to all,

Elise xxx

Hi Meagain

I love moccona classic coffee that is my favourite but while on this programe i have not had a coffee i tried but could not stand the taste without milk so i have not had one for about 80 days.

I would love to go get the temptation one but do you think i would be able to drink it without milk. Other wise i might just wait but i love chocolate also.

Have a good day

annie

I was like that too Annie, when I made it without milk it was just too bitter.. then I tried it with half the coffee I would normally use, and now I quite enjoy it.. I can see why people decide to stay with having it without milk when they are off the program..
